Acts 4
1 And while they were speaking to the people, the priests and the captain of the temple and the Sadducees came upon them,
ยสฺมินฺ สมเย ปิตรโยหเนา โลกานฺ อุปทิศตสฺตสฺมินฺ สมเย ยาชกา มนฺทิรสฺย เสนาปตย: สิทูกีคณศฺจ
2 being indignant that they taught the people, and proclaimed in Jesus the resurrection from the dead.
ตโยรฺ อุปเทศกรเณ ขฺรีษฺฏโสฺยตฺถานมฺ อุปลกฺษฺย สรฺเวฺวษำ มฺฤตานามฺ อุตฺถานปฺรสฺตาเว จ วฺยคฺรา: สนฺตสฺตาวุปาคมนฺฯ
3 And they laid hands upon them, and put them in prison until the next day; for it was now evening.
เตา ธฺฤตฺวา ทินาวสานการณาตฺ ปรทินปรฺยฺยนนฺตํ รุทฺธฺวา สฺถาปิตวนฺต: ฯ
4 Many however of those who heard the word believed; and the number of the men became five thousand.
ตถาปิ เย โลกาสฺตโยรุปเทศมฺ อศฺฤณฺวนฺ เตษำ ปฺราเยณ ปญฺจสหสฺราณิ ชนา วฺยศฺวสนฺฯ
5 And it came to pass on the next day, that their rulers and elders and scribes,
ปเร'หนิ อธิปตย: ปฺราจีนา อธฺยาปกาศฺจ หานนนามา มหายาชก:
6 and Annas the high-priest, and Caiaphas, and John, and Alexander, and as many as were of the kindred of the high-priest, were gathered together at Jerusalem.
กิยผา โยหนฺ สิกนฺทร อิตฺยาทโย มหายาชกสฺย ชฺญาตย: สรฺเวฺว ยิรูศาลมฺนคเร มิลิตา: ฯ
7 And when they had set them in the midst, they asked, By what power, or by what name, did ye do this?
อนนฺตรํ เปฺรริเตา มเธฺย สฺถาปยิตฺวาปฺฤจฺฉนฺ ยุวำ กยา ศกฺตยา วา เกน นามฺนา กรฺมฺมาเณฺยตานิ กุรุถ: ?
8 Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them, Rulers of the people, and elders of Israel!
ตทา ปิตร: ปวิเตฺรณาตฺมนา ปริปูรฺณ: สนฺ ปฺรตฺยวาทีตฺ, เห โลกานามฺ อธิปติคณ เห อิสฺราเยลียปฺราจีนา: ,
9 If we are this day examined in respect to a good deed done to a cripple, by what means he hath been restored,
เอตสฺย ทุรฺพฺพลมานุษสฺย หิตํ ยตฺ กรฺมฺมากฺริยต, อรฺถาตฺ, ส เยน ปฺรกาเรณ สฺวโสฺถภวตฺ ตจฺเจทฺ อทฺยาวำ ปฺฤจฺฉถ,
10 be it known to you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, —by him doth this man stand here before you sound.
ตรฺหิ สรฺวฺว อิสฺราเยลียโลกา ยูยํ ชานีต นาสรตีโย โย ยีศุขฺรีษฺฏ: กฺรุเศ ยุษฺมาภิรวิธฺยต ยศฺเจศฺวเรณ ศฺมศานาทฺ อุตฺถาปิต: , ตสฺย นามฺนา ชโนยํ สฺวสฺถ: สนฺ ยุษฺมากํ สมฺมุเข โปฺรตฺติษฺฐติฯ
11 This is the stone which was set at nought by you the builders, which is become a cornerstone.
นิเจตฺฤภิ รฺยุษฺมาภิรยํ ย: ปฺรสฺตโร'วชฺญาโต'ภวตฺ ส ปฺรธานโกณสฺย ปฺรสฺตโร'ภวตฺฯ
12 And there is salvation in no other; for there is not another name under heaven, that hath been given among men, by which we must be saved.
ตทฺภินฺนาทปราตฺ กสฺมาทปิ ปริตฺราณํ ภวิตุํ น ศกฺโนติ, เยน ตฺราณํ ปฺราเปฺยต ภูมณฺฑลสฺยโลกานำ มเธฺย ตาทฺฤศํ กิมปิ นาม นาสฺติฯ
13 And when they beheld the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and common men, they wondered; and they recognized them as having been with Jesus.
ตทา ปิตรโยหโนเรตาทฺฤศีมฺ อกฺเษภตำ ทฺฤษฺฏฺวา ตาววิทฺวำเสา นีจโลกาวิติ พุทฺธฺวา อาศฺจรฺยฺยมฺ อมนฺยนฺต เตา จ ยีโศ: สงฺคิเนา ชาตาวิติ ชฺญาตุมฺ อศกฺนุวนฺฯ
14 And seeing the man that had been cured standing with them, they could say nothing in reply.
กินฺตุ ตาภฺยำ สารฺทฺธํ ตํ สฺวสฺถมานุษํ ติษฺฐนฺตํ ทฺฤษฺฏฺวา เต กามปฺยปรามฺ อาปตฺตึ กรฺตฺตํ นาศกฺนุนฺฯ
15 But when they had commanded them to go aside out of the council, they conferred among themselves,
ตทา เต สภาต: สฺถานานฺตรํ คนฺตุํ ตานฺ อาชฺญาปฺย สฺวยํ ปรสฺปรมฺ อิติ มนฺตฺรณามกุรฺวฺวนฺ
16 saying, What shall we do to these men? for that indeed a remarkable sign hath been wrought by them is manifest to all that dwell in Jerusalem; and we cannot deny it.
เตา มานเวา ปฺรติ กึ กรฺตฺตวฺยํ? ตาเวกํ ปฺรสิทฺธมฺ อาศฺจรฺยฺยํ กรฺมฺม กฺฤตวนฺเตา ตทฺ ยิรูศาลมฺนิวาสินำ สรฺเวฺวษำ โลกานำ สมีเป ปฺรากาศต ตจฺจ วยมปโหฺนตุํ น ศกฺนุม: ฯ
17 But that it spread no further among the people, let us strictly forbid them with threats to speak any longer in this name to any one.
กินฺตุ โลกานำ มธฺยมฺ เอตทฺ ยถา น วฺยาปฺโนติ ตทรฺถํ เตา ภยํ ปฺรทรฺศฺย เตน นามฺนา กมปิ มนุษฺยํ โนปทิศตมฺ อิติ ทฺฤฒํ นิเษธาม: ฯ
18 And they called them, and commanded them not to speak at all, nor teach, in the name of Jesus.
ตตเสฺต เปฺรริตาวาหูย เอตทาชฺญาปยนฺ อิต: ปรํ ยีโศ รฺนามฺนา กทาปิ กามปิ กถำ มา กถยตํ กิมปิ โนปทิศญฺจฯ
19 But Peter and John answered and said to them, Whether it is right in the sight of God to hearken to you rather than to God, judge ye.
ตต: ปิตรโยหเนา ปฺรตฺยวทตามฺ อีศฺวรสฺยาชฺญาคฺรหณํ วา ยุษฺมากมฺ อาชฺญาคฺรหณมฺ เอตโย รฺมเธฺย อีศฺวรสฺย โคจเร กึ วิหิตํ? ยูยํ ตสฺย วิเวจนำ กุรุตฯ
20 For we cannot but speak the things which we saw and heard.
วยํ ยทฺ อปศฺยาม ยทศฺฤณุม จ ตนฺน ปฺรจารยิษฺยาม เอตตฺ กทาปิ ภวิตุํ น ศกฺโนติฯ
21 So, having further threatened them, they let them go, finding no way to punish them, on account of the people; because all were glorifying God for that which had been done.
ยทฆฏต ตทฺ ทฺฤษฺฏา สรฺเวฺว โลกา อีศฺวรสฺย คุณานฺ อนฺววทนฺ ตสฺมาตฺ โลกภยาตฺ เตา ทณฺฑยิตุํ กมปฺยุปายํ น ปฺราปฺย เต ปุนรปิ ตรฺชยิตฺวา ตาวตฺยชนฺฯ
22 For the man was above forty years old, on whom this sign of the healing had been wrought.
ยสฺย มานุษไสฺยตตฺ สฺวาสฺถฺยกรณมฺ อาศฺจรฺยฺยํ กรฺมฺมากฺริยต ตสฺย วยศฺจตฺวารึศทฺวตฺสรา วฺยตีตา: ฯ
23 And being released they went to their own company, and reported all that the chief priests and elders had said to them.
ตต: ปรํ เตา วิสฺฤษฺเฏา สนฺเตา สฺวสงฺคินำ สนฺนิธึ คตฺวา ปฺรธานยาชไก: ปฺราจีนโลไกศฺจ โปฺรกฺตา: สรฺวฺวา: กถา ชฺญาปิตวนฺเตาฯ
24 And on hearing it, they lifted up their voice to God with one accord, and said, Lord, thou art he that made heaven and earth and sea, and all things that are in them;
ตจฺฉฺรุตฺวา สรฺวฺว เอกจิตฺตีภูย อีศฺวรมุทฺทิศฺย โปฺรจฺไจเรตตฺ ปฺรารฺถยนฺต, เห ปฺรโภ คคณปฺฤถิวีปโยธีนำ เตษุ จ ยทฺยทฺ อาเสฺต เตษำ สฺรษฺเฏศฺวรสฺตฺวํฯ
25 who by the mouth of thy servant David said, “Why did the heathen rage, and the peoples meditate vain things?
ตฺวํ นิชเสวเกน ทายูทา วากฺยมิทมฺ อุวจิถ, มนุษฺยา อนฺยเทศียา: กุรฺวฺวนฺติ กลหํ กุต: ฯ โลกา: สรฺเวฺว กิมรฺถํ วา จินฺตำ กุรฺวฺวนฺติ นิษฺผลำฯ
26 The kings of the earth came up, and the rulers assembled together, against the Lord, and against his Anointed.”
ปรเมศสฺย เตไนวาภิษิกฺตสฺย ชนสฺย จฯ วิรุทฺธมภิติษฺฐนฺติ ปฺฤถิวฺยา: ปตย: กุต: ๚
27 For in truth against thy holy servant Jesus, whom thou didst anoint, did both Herod and Pontius Pilate, with the gentiles, and the peoples of Israel, assemble in this city,
ผลตสฺตว หเสฺตน มนฺตฺรณยา จ ปูรฺวฺว ยทฺยตฺ สฺถิรีกฺฤตํ ตทฺ ยถา สิทฺธํ ภวติ ตทรฺถํ ตฺวํ ยมฺ อถิษิกฺตวานฺ ส เอว ปวิโตฺร ยีศุสฺตสฺย ปฺราติกูเลฺยน เหโรทฺ ปนฺตียปีลาโต
28 to do whatever thy hand and thy will before determined to be done.
'นฺยเทศียโลกา อิสฺราเยโลฺลกาศฺจ สรฺวฺว เอเต สภายามฺ อติษฺฐนฺฯ
29 And now, Lord, look upon their threatenings, and grant to thy servants that with all boldness they may speak thy word,
เห ปรเมศฺวร อธุนา เตษำ ตรฺชนํ ครฺชนญฺจ ศฺฤณุ;
30 while thou stretchest forth thy hand to heal, and signs and wonders are wrought through the name of thy holy servant Jesus.
ตถา สฺวาสฺถฺยกรณกรฺมฺมณา ตว พาหุพลปฺรกาศปูรฺวฺวกํ ตว เสวกานฺ นิรฺภเยน ตว วากฺยํ ปฺรจารยิตุํ ตว ปวิตฺรปุตฺรสฺย ยีโศ รฺนามฺนา อาศฺจรฺยฺยาณฺยสมฺภวานิ จ กรฺมฺมาณิ กรฺตฺตุญฺจาชฺญาปยฯ
31 And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness.
อิตฺถํ ปฺรารฺถนยา ยตฺร สฺถาเน เต สภายามฺ อาสนฺ ตตฺ สฺถานํ ปฺรากมฺปต; ตต: สรฺเวฺว ปวิเตฺรณาตฺมนา ปริปูรฺณา: สนฺต อีศฺวรสฺย กถามฺ อกฺโษเภณ ปฺราจารยนฺฯ
32 And the multitude of those who believed were of one heart, and of one soul; and not one of them said that aught of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common.
อปรญฺจ ปฺรตฺยยการิโลกสมูหา เอกมนส เอกจิตฺตีภูย สฺถิตา: ฯ เตษำ เกปิ นิชสมฺปตฺตึ สฺวียำ นาชานนฺ กินฺตุ เตษำ สรฺวฺวา: สมฺปตฺตฺย: สาธารเณฺยน สฺถิตา: ฯ
33 And with great power did the apostles give their testimony to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus; and great grace was upon them all.
อนฺยจฺจ เปฺรริตา มหาศกฺติปฺรกาศปูรฺวฺวกํ ปฺรโภ รฺยีโศรุตฺถาเน สากฺษฺยมฺ อททุ: , เตษุ สรฺเวฺวษุ มหานุคฺรโห'ภวจฺจฯ
34 For there was no one among them that was in want; for as many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the prices of the things that were sold,
เตษำ มเธฺย กสฺยาปิ ทฺรวฺยนฺยูนตา นาภวทฺ ยตเสฺตษำ คฺฤหภูมฺยาทฺยา ยา: สมฺปตฺตย อาสนฺ ตา วิกฺรีย
35 and laid them at the feet of the apostles; and distribution was made to every one, according as he had need.
ตนฺมูลฺยมานีย เปฺรริตานำ จรเณษุ ไต: สฺถาปิตํ; ตต: ปฺรเตฺยกศ: ปฺรโยชนานุสาเรณ ทตฺตมภวตฺฯ
36 And Joseph, who by the apostles was surnamed Barnabas, (which is, when interpreted, Son of consolation, ) a Levite, born in Cyprus,
วิเศษต: กุโปฺรปทฺวีปีโย โยสินามโก เลวิวํศชาต เอโก ชโน ภูมฺยธิการี, ยํ เปฺรริตา พรฺณพฺพา อรฺถาตฺ สานฺตฺวนาทายก อิตฺยุกฺตฺวา สมาหูยนฺ,
37 having land, sold it, and brought the money, and laid it at the feet of the apostles.
ส ชโน นิชภูมึ วิกฺรีย ตนฺมูลฺยมานีย เปฺรริตานำ จรเณษุ สฺถาปิตวานฺฯ
