< Acts 4 >

1 And while they were speaking to the people, the priests and the captain of the temple and the Sadducees came upon them,
2 being indignant that they taught the people, and proclaimed in Jesus the resurrection from the dead.
Bhaliga bhabhiiliwe muno ku njuno Petro na Yohana bhaliga mbeigisha abhanu kurubhara lwa Yesu no kwaika inguru yo kusuluka kwaye okusoka ku bhafuye.
3 And they laid hands upon them, and put them in prison until the next day; for it was now evening.
Bhabhagwatile no kubhatura mwibhoyelo mpaka katondo eyo yarubhiye, kwo kubha yaga yakingile kegoro.
4 Many however of those who heard the word believed; and the number of the men became five thousand.
Nawe abhanu bhanfu abho bhaga bhonguwe omusango bhekilisishe; na bharume abho bhaga bhekilisishe yaga bhali kuti bhiumbi bhitanu.
5 And it came to pass on the next day, that their rulers and elders and scribes,
Yejire yakinga katondo olusiku olwo rwalubhire, ati abhakuru bhebhwe abhakaruka na bhandiki kwa amwi bhekofyanyisishe Yerusalemu.
6 and Annas the high-priest, and Caiaphas, and John, and Alexander, and as many as were of the kindred of the high-priest, were gathered together at Jerusalem.
Anasi omugabhisi omukuru aliga alio, na Kayafa, na Yohana, na Iskanda, na bhona abho bhaliga bhali bhabho no mugabhisi omukuru.
7 And when they had set them in the midst, they asked, By what power, or by what name, did ye do this?
8 Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them, Rulers of the people, and elders of Israel!
Niwo, Petro, ejuye Omwoyo Omweru, nabhabhwira, “Emwe abhakuru bha bhanu, na bhakaruka,
9 If we are this day examined in respect to a good deed done to a cripple, by what means he hath been restored,
labha eswe olusiku lwa lelo echibhusibhwa kurubhara lwe chikorwa che kisi echo chakorwa ku munu unu omurwaye - ni kutiki omunu unu akorerwe muanga?
10 be it known to you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, —by him doth this man stand here before you sound.
11 This is the stone which was set at nought by you the builders, which is become a cornerstone.
Yesu Kristo ni bhwiyi eryo emwe abhombaki mwaligaile, nawe eryo likorerwe okubha libhwiyi enene lya kumbari.
12 And there is salvation in no other; for there is not another name under heaven, that hath been given among men, by which we must be saved.
Gutalio omweruro ku munu undi wona uliya. Kwo kubha litalio lisina lindi emwaro yo rwire eryo bhayanile abhanu, kweryo echitura okwirurwa.”
13 And when they beheld the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and common men, they wondered; and they recognized them as having been with Jesus.
14 And seeing the man that had been cured standing with them, they could say nothing in reply.
Kwo kubha bhamurorere omunu oyo eulisibhwe emereguyu amwi nabho, bhatabheye ne chinu cho kwaika inguru ya linu.
15 But when they had commanded them to go aside out of the council, they conferred among themselves,
Mbe nawe bhejile bhamara okubhabhwira jintumwa bhasoke imbele yo mukutano gwa libharaja, mbaroma abhene kwa bhene.
16 saying, What shall we do to these men? for that indeed a remarkable sign hath been wrought by them is manifest to all that dwell in Jerusalem; and we cannot deny it.
Mbaika, echibhakora kutiki abhanu bhanu? Ni chimali ati ebhikumisho bhyo kukuya bhikorerwe okutura kubhene eimenyekana ku bhuli umwi oyo ekaye Yerusalemu; chitakutura kulirema eryo.
17 But that it spread no further among the people, let us strictly forbid them with threats to speak any longer in this name to any one.
Mbe nawe, omusango gunu gutasugana mu bhanu, hebu chibhaganye bhataroma ku munu wona wona kwa lisina linu.
18 And they called them, and commanded them not to speak at all, nor teach, in the name of Jesus.
Mbabhabhirikila Petro na Yohana munyumba no kubhaganya bhataroma chimwi norwo okwiigisha kwa lisina lya Yesu.
19 But Peter and John answered and said to them, Whether it is right in the sight of God to hearken to you rather than to God, judge ye.
Mbe nawe Petro na Yohana bhabhasubhishe no kubhabhwira ati, “Labha ni kisi mumeso ga Nyamuanga okubhongwa emwe kuliko Nyamuanga, muramure abhene.
20 For we cannot but speak the things which we saw and heard.
Kwo kubha eswe chitakutura kusiga kuroma emisango ejo cholorere no kujungwa.”
21 So, having further threatened them, they let them go, finding no way to punish them, on account of the people; because all were glorifying God for that which had been done.
Bhejire kubhafunda muno Petro na Yohana, mbabhasiga bhagende. Bhataturire okubhona injuno yona yona yo kubhayana, kwo kubha abhanu bhona bhaliga mbamusima Nyamuanga ku chinu echo yaga chikorekene.
22 For the man was above forty years old, on whom this sign of the healing had been wrought.
Omunu oyo yaga alamiye ebhikumusho bhyo kwiulisibhwa aliga ali ne myaka kuti makumi gana.
23 And being released they went to their own company, and reported all that the chief priests and elders had said to them.
Bhejile bhamara okubhatatira, Petro na Yohana mbaja kubhanu bhebhwe no kubhabhwira gona ago abhagabhisi abhakuru na bhakaruka bhabhabhwiliye.
24 And on hearing it, they lifted up their voice to God with one accord, and said, Lord, thou art he that made heaven and earth and sea, and all things that are in them;
Bhejire bhongwa, mbasabhwa kwo bhuraka bhunene kwa amwi ku Nyamuanga mbaika a ti, “Omukama, we oyo ukonjere orwire ne chalo na inyanja na bhuli chinu echo chilimo,
25 who by the mouth of thy servant David said, “Why did the heathen rage, and the peoples meditate vain things?
awe oyo, kwo Mwoyo Omweru, kwo munwa gwa lata weswe Daudi, omukosi wao, waikile ati, “Kulwaki abhanu bha maanga abhakora obhusambe, na abhanu abheganirisha emisango ejo jiteire?
26 The kings of the earth came up, and the rulers assembled together, against the Lord, and against his Anointed.”
27 For in truth against thy holy servant Jesus, whom thou didst anoint, did both Herod and Pontius Pilate, with the gentiles, and the peoples of Israel, assemble in this city,
Okubha ni chimali, bhona Herode na Pontio Pilato, amwi na abhanu bha maanga na abhanu bha Israeli, bhekofyanyishe amwi ku musi gunu inguru yo mukosi wao omweru Yesu, oyo wamubhabhagile amafuta.
28 to do whatever thy hand and thy will before determined to be done.
Bhekofyanishe amwi okukora gona ago okubhoko kwao no kwenda kwao kwaramuye okusoka kubhwambiro gachali okusokerera.
29 And now, Lord, look upon their threatenings, and grant to thy servants that with all boldness they may speak thy word,
Oli, Omukama, nugalore okukanga kwebhwe, na ubhayane amanaga abhakosi bhao okwaika omusango gwao kwo bhuigi bhwona,
30 while thou stretchest forth thy hand to heal, and signs and wonders are wrought through the name of thy holy servant Jesus.
ugorore okubhoko kwao okwiulisha, ebhibharikisho ne bhiruguro bhiture okusokerera okulabha kwi sina lyo mukosi wao omweru Yesu.
31 And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness.
Bhejile bhamara okusabha, orubhara orwo bhekofyanyishe amwi nurusingishwa, na bhona mbejura Omwoyo Omweru, na mbaika omusango gwa Nyamuanga kwo bhuigi.
32 And the multitude of those who believed were of one heart, and of one soul; and not one of them said that aught of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common.
Obhukumi bhwanfu bhwa bho bhekirisishe bhaliga bhali no mutima gumwi no mwoyo gumwi: na ataliwo norwo umwi webhwe oyo aikile ati chona chona ali nacho chaliga chili chaye omwene; atali bhaliga bhali ne bhinu bhyona bhasagiye.
33 And with great power did the apostles give their testimony to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus; and great grace was upon them all.
Kwa managa manfu jintumwa bhaliga mbarasha obhubhambasi bhwebhwe kurubhara rwo bhusuruko bhwo Mukama Yesu, ne chigongo chinene chaliga chili inguru yebhwe bhona.
34 For there was no one among them that was in want; for as many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the prices of the things that were sold,
Aliga ataliwo omunu wona wona amwi yebhwe oyo aliga alebherwe obhukene, ku njuno abhanu bhona abho bhaliga bhali na jinsambu amwi jinyumba, bhagusishe mbaleta jiyela je bhinu ebhyo bhagusishe
35 and laid them at the feet of the apostles; and distribution was made to every one, according as he had need.
no kubhitura emwaro ya maguru ga jintumwa. No mugabho gwakorekene ku bhuli mwikirisha, okwingana na bhuli umwi kutyo aliga ali no bhukene.
36 And Joseph, who by the apostles was surnamed Barnabas, (which is, when interpreted, Son of consolation, ) a Levite, born in Cyprus,
Yusufu, omulawi, omunu okusoka Kipro, ayanilwe lisina lya Barnabasi na jintumwa (eyo nigajurwa ati, ni mwana wo kusilisha).
37 having land, sold it, and brought the money, and laid it at the feet of the apostles.
