< Acts 4 >

1 And while they were speaking to the people, the priests and the captain of the temple and the Sadducees came upon them,
Pamene Petro ndi Yohane amayankhula ndi anthu, kunabwera ansembe, mkulu woyangʼanira Nyumba ya Mulungu ndiponso Asaduki.
2 being indignant that they taught the people, and proclaimed in Jesus the resurrection from the dead.
Iwo anakhumudwa kwambiri chifukwa atumwiwo amaphunzitsa anthu ndi kumalalikira za kuuka kwa akufa mwa Yesu.
3 And they laid hands upon them, and put them in prison until the next day; for it was now evening.
Iwo anagwira Petro ndi Yohane, popeza kunali kutada, anawayika mʼndende mpaka mmawa mwake.
4 Many however of those who heard the word believed; and the number of the men became five thousand.
Koma anthu ambiri amene anamva uthenga anakhulupirira, ndipo chiwerengero cha anthu chinakwana 5,000.
5 And it came to pass on the next day, that their rulers and elders and scribes,
Mmawa mwake olamulira, akulu ndi aphunzitsi a malamulo anasonkhana mu Yerusalemu.
6 and Annas the high-priest, and Caiaphas, and John, and Alexander, and as many as were of the kindred of the high-priest, were gathered together at Jerusalem.
Panali Anasi, Mkulu wa ansembe, Kayafa, Yohane ndi Alekisandro ndi ana a banja la mkulu wa ansembe.
7 And when they had set them in the midst, they asked, By what power, or by what name, did ye do this?
Iwo anayimiritsa Petro ndi Yohane patsogolo pawo nayamba kuwafunsa kuti, “Kodi munachita zimenezi ndi mphamvu yanji kapena mʼdzina la yani?”
8 Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them, Rulers of the people, and elders of Israel!
Petro wodzazidwa ndi Mzimu Woyera, anawawuza kuti, “Inu olamulira ndi akulu!
9 If we are this day examined in respect to a good deed done to a cripple, by what means he hath been restored,
Ngati ife tikufunsidwa lero chifukwa cha ntchito yabwino imene yachitika pa munthu wolumala miyendo ndi mmene iye anachiritsidwira,
10 be it known to you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, —by him doth this man stand here before you sound.
tsono dziwani izi inu ndi aliyense mu Israeli: munthuyu akuyima pamaso panu, wochiritsidwa kwathunthu, ndi chifukwa cha dzina la Yesu Khristu wa ku Nazareti amene munamupachika koma Mulungu anamuukitsa kwa akufa.
11 This is the stone which was set at nought by you the builders, which is become a cornerstone.
Iye ndi “‘Mwala umene amisiri omanga nyumba anawukana, umenewo wasanduka mwala wa pa ngodya!’
12 And there is salvation in no other; for there is not another name under heaven, that hath been given among men, by which we must be saved.
Chipulumutso sichipezeka mwa wina aliyense; pakuti palibe dzina lina pansi pa thambo limene lapatsidwa kwa anthu limene tiyenera kupulumutsidwa nalo.”
13 And when they beheld the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and common men, they wondered; and they recognized them as having been with Jesus.
Ataona kulimba mtima kwa Petro ndi Yohane ndi kuzindikira kuti anali osaphunzira, anthu wamba, anadabwa kwambiri ndipo anazindikira kuti anthuwa anakhala pamodzi ndi Yesu.
14 And seeing the man that had been cured standing with them, they could say nothing in reply.
Koma popeza iwo amamuona munthu amene anachiritsidwa atayima pamodzi ndi iwo, palibe chimene akananena.
15 But when they had commanded them to go aside out of the council, they conferred among themselves,
Chifukwa chake anawalamula kuti atuluke mʼbwalo la milandu ndipo akulu abwalowo anayamba kukambirana.
16 saying, What shall we do to these men? for that indeed a remarkable sign hath been wrought by them is manifest to all that dwell in Jerusalem; and we cannot deny it.
Iwo anafunsana kuti, “Kodi anthuwa tichite nawo chiyani? Pakuti aliyense okhala mu Yerusalemu akudziwa kuti achita chodabwitsachi, ndipo ife sitingathe kukana.
17 But that it spread no further among the people, let us strictly forbid them with threats to speak any longer in this name to any one.
Koma kuti mbiriyi isapitirire kuwanda pakati pa anthu, ife tiwachenjeze anthu amenewa kuti asayankhulenso kwa wina aliyense mʼdzina la Yesu.”
18 And they called them, and commanded them not to speak at all, nor teach, in the name of Jesus.
Pamenepo anawayitananso ndipo anawalamula kuti asayankhule kapena kuphunzitsa konse mʼdzina la Yesu.
19 But Peter and John answered and said to them, Whether it is right in the sight of God to hearken to you rather than to God, judge ye.
Koma Petro ndi Yohane anayankha kuti, “Weruzani nokha ngati nʼkwabwino pamaso pa Mulungu kumvera inu koposa Mulungu.
20 For we cannot but speak the things which we saw and heard.
Ife sitingaleke kuyankhula za zimene tinaziona ndi kuzimva.”
21 So, having further threatened them, they let them go, finding no way to punish them, on account of the people; because all were glorifying God for that which had been done.
Atawonjeza kuwaopseza anawamasula. Sanathe kugwirizana njira yowalangira, chifukwa anthu onse amayamika Mulungu chifukwa cha zimene zinachitika.
22 For the man was above forty years old, on whom this sign of the healing had been wrought.
Ndipo munthu amene anachiritsidwayo anali ndi zaka makumi anayi.
23 And being released they went to their own company, and reported all that the chief priests and elders had said to them.
Atamasulidwa Petro ndi Yohane anapita kwa anzawo ndipo anawafotokozera zonse zimene akulu a ansembe ndi akulu anawawuza.
24 And on hearing it, they lifted up their voice to God with one accord, and said, Lord, thou art he that made heaven and earth and sea, and all things that are in them;
Anthu atamva zimenezi anafuwula ndi mtima umodzi napemphera kwa Mulungu. Iwo anati, “Ambuye wolamulira zonse, Inu munalenga kumwamba ndi dziko lapansi ndi nyanja ndiponso zonse zili mʼmenemo.
25 who by the mouth of thy servant David said, “Why did the heathen rage, and the peoples meditate vain things?
Inu munayankhula mwa Mzimu Woyera kudzera pakamwa pa Davide kholo lathu, mtumiki wanu kuti, “‘Nʼchifukwa chiyani anthu a mitundu ina akufuna kuchita chiwembu, ndipo akonzekera kuchita zopandapake?
26 The kings of the earth came up, and the rulers assembled together, against the Lord, and against his Anointed.”
Mafumu a dziko lapansi akugwirizana nazo; ndipo olamulira asonkhana pamodzi kulimbana ndi Ambuye ndi wodzozedwa wakeyo.’
27 For in truth against thy holy servant Jesus, whom thou didst anoint, did both Herod and Pontius Pilate, with the gentiles, and the peoples of Israel, assemble in this city,
Zoonadi, Herode ndi Pontiyo Pilato anasonkhana pamodzi ndi amitundu ndiponso Aisraeli, mu mzinda muno, kupanga zolimbana ndi mtumiki wanu woyera Yesu, amene Inu munamudzoza.
28 to do whatever thy hand and thy will before determined to be done.
Iwo anachita zimene munakonzeratu mwachifuniro chanu ndi mphamvu yanu kuti zichitike.
29 And now, Lord, look upon their threatenings, and grant to thy servants that with all boldness they may speak thy word,
Tsopano, Ambuye taonani kuti atiopseza, tithandizeni ife atumiki anu, kuti tiyankhule mawu anu molimba mtima.
30 while thou stretchest forth thy hand to heal, and signs and wonders are wrought through the name of thy holy servant Jesus.
Tambasulani dzanja lanu kuchiritsa anthu ndipo kuti, zizindikiro zodabwitsa zichitike mʼdzina la mtumiki wanu woyera Yesu.”
31 And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness.
Iwo atatha kupemphera, malo amene anasonkhanapo anagwedezeka. Ndipo iwo onse anadzazidwa ndi Mzimu Woyera ndipo anayankhula Mawu a Mulungu molimba mtima.
32 And the multitude of those who believed were of one heart, and of one soul; and not one of them said that aught of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common.
Okhulupirira onse anali a mtima umodzi, ndi maganizo amodzi. Palibe munthu amene amati zomwe anali nazo zinali zake zokha, koma amagawana chilichonse chimene anali nacho.
33 And with great power did the apostles give their testimony to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus; and great grace was upon them all.
Atumwi anapitirira kuchitira umboni mwa mphamvu zakuuka kwa Ambuye Yesu, ndipo pa iwo panali chisomo chochuluka.
34 For there was no one among them that was in want; for as many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the prices of the things that were sold,
Panalibe anthu osowa kanthu pakati pawo. Pakuti amene anali ndi malo, kapena nyumba amagulitsa ndi kubweretsa ndalamazo
35 and laid them at the feet of the apostles; and distribution was made to every one, according as he had need.
ndi kuzipereka kwa atumwi, ndipo zimagawidwa kwa aliyense amene anali ndi chosowa.
36 And Joseph, who by the apostles was surnamed Barnabas, (which is, when interpreted, Son of consolation, ) a Levite, born in Cyprus,
Yosefe, wa fuko la Levi, wochokera ku Kupro amene atumwi anamutcha Barnaba, kutanthauza kuti mwana wachilimbikitso,
37 having land, sold it, and brought the money, and laid it at the feet of the apostles.
anagulitsa munda wake ndipo anadzapereka ndalamazo kwa atumwi.
