Acts 2
1 And on the day of Pentecost they were all together in one place.
౧పెంతెకొస్తు అనే పండగరోజు వచ్చినప్పుడు వారందరూ ఒక చోట సమావేశమయ్యారు.
2 And suddenly there came out of heaven a sound, as of a rushing mighty wind; and it filled the whole house where they were sitting;
౨అప్పుడు వేగంగా వీచే బలమైన గాలి వంటి శబ్దం ఆకాశం నుండి అకస్మాత్తుగా వారు కూర్చున్న ఇల్లంతా నిండిపోయింది.
3 and there appeared to them tongues as of fire, distributing themselves; and one sat upon each of them.
౩అగ్నిజ్వాలలు నాలుకలుగా చీలినట్టుగా వారికి కనబడి, వారిలో ప్రతి ఒక్కరి మీదా వాలాయి.
4 And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and began to speak with other tongues, even as the Spirit gave them utterance.
౪అందరూ పరిశుద్ధాత్మతో నిండి ఆ ఆత్మ వారికి శక్తి అనుగ్రహించిన కొద్దీ వేరు వేరు భాషల్లో మాట్లాడసాగారు.
5 Now there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, from every nation under heaven.
౫ఆ రోజుల్లో ఆకాశం కింద ఉన్న ప్రతి ప్రాంతపు జనంలో నుండి వచ్చిన భక్తిగల యూదులు యెరూషలేములో నివసిస్తున్నారు.
6 And when this sound took place, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because every one heard them speaking in his own language.
౬ఈ శబ్దం విన్న జన సందోహం కూడి వచ్చి, ప్రతి వాడూ తన సొంత భాషలో మాట్లాడడం విని కలవరపడ్డారు.
7 And they were amazed, and marveled, saying, Behold, are not all these who speak Galilaeans?
౭వారు ఆశ్చర్యంతో తలమునకలైపోతూ, “మాట్లాడే వీరంతా గలిలయ వారే గదా.
8 and how is it that we every one hear them in our own language, wherein we were born?
౮మనలో ప్రతివాడి మాతృభాషలో వీరు మాట్లాడడం మనం వింటున్నామేంటి?
9 Parthians and Medes and Elamites, and those who inhabit Mesopotamia, Judaea and Cappadocia, Pontus and Asia,
౯పార్తీయులూ మాదీయులూ ఏలామీయులూ, మెసపటేమియా యూదయ కప్పదొకియ పొంతు ఆసియ
10 Phrygia and Pamphylia, Egypt and the parts of Libya about Cyrene, and Romans who sojourn here, both Jews and Proselytes,
౧౦ఫ్రుగియ పంఫూలియ ఐగుప్తు అనే దేశాల వారూ, కురేనేలో భాగంగా ఉన్న లిబియ ప్రాంతాలవారూ, రోమ్ నుండి సందర్శకులుగా వచ్చిన
11 Cretans and Arabians—how is it that we hear them speaking in our tongues the wonderful works of God?
౧౧యూదులూ, యూదామతంలోకి మారినవారూ, క్రేతీయులూ అరబీయులూ మొదలైన మనమంతా వీరు మన భాషల్లో దేవుని గొప్ప కార్యాలను చెబుతుంటే వింటున్నాము” అనుకున్నారు.
12 And they were all amazed and were in doubt, saying one to another, What can this mean?
౧౨అందరూ ఆశ్చర్యచకితులై ఎటూ తోచక, “ఇదేమిటో” అని ఒకడితో ఒకడు చెప్పుకున్నారు.
13 Others making sport of it, said, They are full of new wine.
౧౩కొందరైతే వీరు కొత్త సారా తాగి ఉన్నారని ఎగతాళి చేశారు.
14 But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said to them, Men of Judea, and all that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known to you, and hearken to my words.
౧౪అయితే పేతురు ఆ పదకొండు మందితో లేచి నిలబడి బిగ్గరగా వారితో ఇలా అన్నాడు, “యూదయ ప్రజలారా, యెరూషలేములో నివసిస్తున్న సమస్త జనులారా, ఇది మీకు తెలియాలి. నా మాటలు జాగ్రత్తగా వినండి.
15 For these are not drunken, as ye suppose; for it is the third hour of the day;
౧౫“మీరనుకున్నట్టు వీరు మద్యపానం చేయలేదు. ఇప్పుడు ఉదయం తొమ్మిదయినా కాలేదు.
16 but this is what was spoken through the prophet Joel,
౧౬యోవేలు ప్రవక్త చెప్పిన సంగతి ఇదే,
17 “It shall be in the last days, saith God, that I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters will prophesy, and your young men will see visions, and your old men will dream dreams;
౧౭‘అంత్యదినాల్లో నేను మనుషులందరి మీదా నా ఆత్మను కుమ్మరిస్తాను. మీ కుమారులూ కుమార్తెలూ ప్రవచిస్తారు. మీ యువకులు దర్శనాలు చూస్తారు. మీ వృద్ధులు కలలు కంటారు,
18 and even on my servants, and on my handmaids, I will pour out of my Spirit in those days, and they will prophesy.
౧౮ఆ రోజుల్లో నా దాసుల మీదా దాసీల మీదా నా ఆత్మను కుమ్మరిస్తాను కాబట్టి వారు ప్రవచిస్తారు.
19 And I will show wonders in heaven above, and signs on the earth beneath, blood, and fire, and vapor of smoke;
౧౯పైన ఆకాశంలో మహత్కార్యాలనూ కింద భూమ్మీద సూచకక్రియలనూ రక్తం, అగ్ని, పొగ, ఆవిరినీ చూపిస్తాను.
20 the sun will be turned into darkness and the moon into blood, before the day of the Lord cometh, the great and notable day.
౨౦ప్రభువు ప్రత్యక్షమయ్యే మహిమాయుక్తమైన ఆ మహాదినం రాక ముందు సూర్యుడు చీకటిగా, చంద్రుడు రక్తంగా మారతారు.
21 And it shall be that every one that calleth on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
౨౧ప్రభువు నామంలో ప్రార్థన చేసే వారంతా పాప విమోచన పొందుతారు’ అని దేవుడు చెబుతున్నాడు.
22 Men of Israel, hear these words! Jesus the Nazarene, a man approved of God to you by miracles, and wonders, and signs, which God wrought by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves know, —
౨౨“ఇశ్రాయేలు ప్రజలారా, ఈ మాటలు వినండి, దేవుడు నజరేయుడైన యేసు చేత అద్భుతాలూ మహత్కార్యాలూ సూచకక్రియలూ మీ మధ్య చేయించి, ఆయనను తన దృష్టికి యోగ్యుడుగా కనపరిచాడు. ఇది మీకే తెలుసు.
23 this man, being delivered up by the settled purpose and foreknowledge of God, ye, by the hand of godless men, crucified and slew.
౨౩దేవుని స్థిరమైన ప్రణాళికనూ ఆయనకున్న భవిష్య జ్ఞానాన్నీ అనుసరించి ఆయనను అప్పగించడం జరిగింది. ఈయనను మీరు దుష్టుల చేత సిలువ వేయించి చంపారు.
24 But God raised him up, having loosed the pains of death, because it was not possible that he should be held by it.
౨౪మరణం ఆయనను బంధించి ఉంచడం అసాధ్యం కాబట్టి దేవుడు మరణ వేదనలు తొలగించి ఆయనను లేపాడు.
25 For David saith concerning him, “I saw the Lord always before me; because he is on my right hand, that I should not be moved.
౨౫“ఆయన గూర్చి దావీదు ఇలా అన్నాడు, ‘నేనెప్పుడూ నా ఎదుట ప్రభువును చూస్తున్నాను, ఆయన నా కుడి పక్కనే ఉన్నాడు కాబట్టి ఏదీ నన్ను కదల్చదు.
26 Therefore my heart rejoiced, and my tongue exulted; moreover also, my flesh shall dwell in hope;
౨౬నా హృదయం ఉల్లాసంగా ఉంది. నా నాలుక ఆనందించింది. నా శరీరం కూడా ఆశాభావంతో నిశ్చింతగా ఉంటుంది.
27 because thou wilt not abandon my soul to the underworld, nor wilt thou suffer thy holy one to see corruption. (Hadēs g86)
౨౭ఎందుకంటే నీవు నా ఆత్మను పాతాళంలో విడిచిపెట్టవు, నీ పరిశుద్ధుణ్ణి కుళ్ళు పట్టనియ్యవు. (Hadēs g86)
28 Thou didst make known to me the ways of life; thou wilt make me full of joy with thy countenance.”
౨౮నాకు జీవమార్గాలు తెలిపావు. నీ ముఖదర్శనంతో నన్ను ఉల్లాసంతో నింపుతావు.’
29 Brethren, I may speak to you with freedom of the patriarch David, that he both died and was buried, and his tomb is among us to this day.
౨౯“సోదరులారా, పూర్వికుడైన దావీదును గురించి మీతో నేను ధైర్యంగా మాట్లాడగలను. అతడు చనిపోయి సమాధి అయ్యాడు.
30 Being then a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn to him with an oath that he would set one sprung from his loins upon his throne,
౩౦అతని సమాధి ఇప్పటికీ మన మధ్య ఉంది. అతడు ప్రవక్త కాబట్టి ‘అతని గర్భఫలం నుంచి ఒకడిని అతని సింహాసనం మీద కూర్చోబెడతాను’ అని “దేవుడు తనతో ప్రమాణపూర్వకంగా శపథం చేసిన సంగతి అతనికి తెలుసు.
31 he foresaw and spoke of the resurrection of Christ, that neither was he abandoned to the underworld, nor did his flesh see corruption. (Hadēs g86)
౩౧క్రీస్తు పాతాళంలో నిలిచి ఉండి పోలేదనీ, ఆయన శరీరం కుళ్ళి పోలేదనీ దావీదు ముందే తెలుసుకుని ఆయన పునరుత్థానాన్ని గూర్చి చెప్పాడు. (Hadēs g86)
32 This Jesus God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses.
౩౨“ఈ యేసును దేవుడు లేపాడు. దీనికి మేమంతా సాక్షులం.
33 Being therefore exalted by the right hand of God, and having received from the Father the promised Holy Spirit, he hath poured forth this, which ye both see and hear.
౩౩కాబట్టి ఆయనను దేవుడు తన కుడి స్థానానికి హెచ్చించాడు. ఆయన తన తండ్రి వాగ్దానం చేసిన పరిశుద్ధాత్మను ఆయన వలన పొంది, మీరు చూస్తున్న, వింటున్న ఈ కుమ్మరింపును జరిగించాడు.
34 For David did not ascend into the heavens; but he himself saith, The Lord said to my lord, “Sit thou on my right hand,
౩౪దావీదు పరలోకానికి ఆరోహణం కాలేదు. అయితే అతడిలా అన్నాడు,
35 until I make thine enemies thy footstool.”
౩౫‘నేను నీ శత్రువులను నీ పాదాల కింద పాదపీఠంగా ఉంచే వరకూ నీవు నా కుడి పక్కన కూర్చోమని ప్రభువు నా ప్రభువుతో చెప్పాడు.’
36 Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly that God hath made him both Lord and Christ, this Jesus whom ye crucified.
౩౬“మీరు సిలువ వేసిన ఈ యేసునే దేవుడు ప్రభువుగా క్రీస్తుగా నియమించాడు. ఇది ఇశ్రాయేలు జాతి అంతా కచ్చితంగా తెలుసుకోవాలి.”
37 And when they heard this, they were pierced to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, Brethren, what must we do?
౩౭వారీ మాట విన్నప్పుడు తమ హృదయంలో గుచ్చినట్టయి, “సోదరులారా, మేమేం చేయాలి” అని పేతురునూ మిగతా అపొస్తలులనూ అడిగారు.
38 But Peter said to them, Repent, and let every one of you be baptized to the name of Jesus Christ for forgiveness of sins, and ye will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
౩౮దానికి పేతురు, “మీలో ప్రతివాడూ పశ్చాత్తాపపడి, పాపక్షమాపణ కోసం యేసుక్రీస్తు నామంలో బాప్తిసం పొందండి. అప్పుడు మీరు పరిశుద్ధాత్మ అనే వరాన్ని పొందుతారు.
39 For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all that are afar off, as many as the Lord our God shall call.
౩౯ఈ వాగ్దానం మీకూ మీ పిల్లలకూ, దూరంగా ఉన్న వారందరికీ, అంటే ప్రభువైన మన దేవుడు తన దగ్గరికి పిలుచుకొనే వారందరికీ చెందుతుంది” అని వారితో చెప్పాడు.
40 And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this perverse generation.
౪౦ఇంకా అతడు అనేక రకాలైన మాటలతో సాక్షమిచ్చి, “మీరు ఈ దుష్ట తరం నుండి వేరుపడి రక్షణ పొందండి” అని వారిని హెచ్చరించాడు.
41 They therefore received his word, and were baptized; and there were added on that day about three thousand souls.
౪౧అతని సందేశం నమ్మిన వారు బాప్తిసం పొందారు. ఆ రోజు దాదాపు మూడువేల మంది విశ్వాసుల గుంపులో చేరారు.
42 And they were constantly attending on the teaching of the apostles, and the imparting [[of their substance]], the breaking of bread, and the prayers.
౪౨వీరు అపొస్తలుల బోధలో, సహవాసంలో, రొట్టె విరవడంలో, ప్రార్థనలో కొనసాగారు.
43 And fear came upon every soul; and many wonders and signs were wrought through the apostles.
౪౩అప్పుడు ప్రతివాడికి దేవుని భయం కలిగింది. అపొస్తలులు చాలా అద్భుతాలూ సూచకక్రియలూ చేశారు.
44 And all that believed were together, and had all things common;
౪౪నమ్మినవారంతా కలిసి ఉండి తమకు ఉన్నదంతా ఉమ్మడిగా ఉంచుకున్నారు.
45 and they sold their possessions and goods, and divided them among all, as any one had need.
౪౫అంతేగాక వారు తమ ఆస్తిపాస్తులను అమ్మేసి, అందరికీ వారి వారి అవసరాలకు తగ్గట్టుగా పంచిపెట్టారు.
46 And attending daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread in a private house, they partook of their food with gladness and singleness of heart,
౪౬ప్రతిరోజూ ఏక మనసుతో దేవాలయంలో సమావేశమౌతూ ఇళ్ళలో రొట్టె విరుస్తూ,
47 praising God, and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily those who were in the way of salvation.
౪౭ఆనందంతో, కపటం లేని హృదయంతో, వినయంతో కలిసి భోజనాలు చేశారు. వారు దేవుణ్ణి స్తుతిస్తూ ప్రజలందరి మన్నన పొందారు. రక్షణ పొందుతూ ఉన్నవారిని ప్రభువు ప్రతిరోజూ సంఘంలో చేరుస్తున్నాడు.
