Acts 2
1 And on the day of Pentecost they were all together in one place.
੧ਜਦੋਂ ਪੰਤੇਕੁਸਤ ਦਾ ਦਿਨ ਆਇਆ, ਤਦ ਉਹ ਸਭ ਇੱਕ ਥਾਂ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਸਨ।
2 And suddenly there came out of heaven a sound, as of a rushing mighty wind; and it filled the whole house where they were sitting;
੨ਅਤੇ ਅਚਾਨਕ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਤੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਗੂੰਜ ਆਈ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਵੱਡੀ ਭਾਰੀ ਅਨ੍ਹੇਰੀ ਦੇ ਵਗਣ ਦੀ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਰਾ ਘਰ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਉਹ ਬੈਠੇ ਸਨ, ਭਰ ਗਿਆ।
3 and there appeared to them tongues as of fire, distributing themselves; and one sat upon each of them.
੩ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅੱਗ ਜਿਹੀਆਂ ਜੀਭਾਂ ਵੱਖਰੀਆਂ ਹੁੰਦੀਆਂ ਵਿਖਾਈ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਹਰੇਕ ਉੱਤੇ ਠਹਿਰ ਗਈਆਂ।
4 And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and began to speak with other tongues, even as the Spirit gave them utterance.
੪ਤਦ ਉਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਆਤਮਾ ਨਾਲ ਭਰ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਅਲੱਗ-ਅਲੱਗ ਭਾਸ਼ਾ ਬੋਲਣ ਲੱਗ ਪਏ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਆਤਮਾ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬੋਲਣ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ।
5 Now there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, from every nation under heaven.
੫ਯਹੂਦੀ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਸਨ, ਹਰੇਕ ਕੌਮ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਭਗਤ ਲੋਕ, ਜੋ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਦੇ ਹੇਠ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਜਗ੍ਹਾ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ।
6 And when this sound took place, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because every one heard them speaking in his own language.
੬ਸੋ ਜਦੋਂ ਇਹ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਆਈ ਤਾਂ ਭੀੜ ਇਕੱਠੀ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਅਤੇ ਲੋਕ ਹੈਰਾਨ ਰਹਿ ਗਏ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਹਰੇਕ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਸੁਣਾਈ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਮੇਰੀ ਹੀ ਭਾਸ਼ਾ ਬੋਲ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ।
7 And they were amazed, and marveled, saying, Behold, are not all these who speak Galilaeans?
੭ਉਹ ਅਚਰਜ਼ ਰਹਿ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਹੈਰਾਨ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਕਹਿਣ ਲੱਗੇ, ਵੇਖੋ ਇਹ ਸਭ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਬੋਲਦੇ ਹਨ, ਕੀ ਗਲੀਲੀ ਨਹੀਂ?
8 and how is it that we every one hear them in our own language, wherein we were born?
੮ਫੇਰ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਹਰੇਕ ਸਾਡੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਆਪੋ-ਆਪਣੀ ਜਨਮ ਭੂਮੀ ਦੀ ਭਾਸ਼ਾ ਸੁਣਦਾ ਹੈ?
9 Parthians and Medes and Elamites, and those who inhabit Mesopotamia, Judaea and Cappadocia, Pontus and Asia,
੯ਅਸੀਂ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਪਾਰਥੀ, ਮੇਦੀ, ਇਲਾਮੀ ਹਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਸੋਪਟਾਮਿਆ, ਯਹੂਦਿਯਾ, ਕੱਪਦੁਕਿਯਾ, ਪੁੰਤੁਸ, ਏਸ਼ੀਆ
10 Phrygia and Pamphylia, Egypt and the parts of Libya about Cyrene, and Romans who sojourn here, both Jews and Proselytes,
੧੦ਫ਼ਰੂਗਿਯਾ, ਪਮਫ਼ੁਲਿਯਾ, ਮਿਸਰ, ਲਿਬੀਆ ਦੇ ਉਸ ਹਿੱਸੇ ਦੇ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਹਾਂ ਜੋ ਕੁਰੇਨੇ ਦੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਰੋਮੀ ਮੁਸਾਫ਼ਰ ਕੀ ਯਹੂਦੀ, ਯਹੂਦੀ ਮਤ ਨੂੰ ਮੰਨਣ ਵਾਲੇ,
11 Cretans and Arabians—how is it that we hear them speaking in our tongues the wonderful works of God?
੧੧ਕਰੇਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਅਰਬੀ ਹਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ-ਆਪਣੀ ਭਾਸ਼ਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਵੱਡੇ-ਵੱਡੇ ਕੰਮਾਂ ਦਾ ਚਰਚਾ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਸੁਣਦੇ ਹਾਂ!
12 And they were all amazed and were in doubt, saying one to another, What can this mean?
੧੨ਅਤੇ ਸਭ ਹੈਰਾਨ ਰਹਿ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਦੁਬਧਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੈ ਕੇ ਇੱਕ ਦੂਜੇ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਣ ਲੱਗੇ ਜੋ ਇਹ ਕੀ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ?
13 Others making sport of it, said, They are full of new wine.
੧੩ਦੂਜਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਮਖ਼ੌਲ ਨਾਲ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਨਵੀਂ ਸ਼ਰਾਬ ਦੇ ਨਸ਼ੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਨ!
14 But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said to them, Men of Judea, and all that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known to you, and hearken to my words.
੧੪ਤਦ ਪਤਰਸ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਗਿਆਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਕੇ ਖੜ੍ਹੇ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਉੱਚੀ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਨਾਲ ਆਖਣ ਲੱਗਾ ਕਿ ਹੇ ਯਹੂਦੀਓ ਅਤੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਦੇ ਸਭ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਿਓ ਇਹ ਜਾਣੋ ਅਤੇ ਕੰਨ ਲਾ ਮੇਰੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਸੁਣੋ!
15 For these are not drunken, as ye suppose; for it is the third hour of the day;
੧੫ਕਿ ਇਹ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸਮਝਦੇ ਹੋ ਨਸ਼ੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਨ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਅਜੇ ਤਾਂ ਦਿਨ ਹੀ ਚੜਿਆ ਹੈ।
16 but this is what was spoken through the prophet Joel,
੧੬ਪਰ ਇਹ ਉਹ ਗੱਲ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਯੋਏਲ ਨਬੀ ਦੀ ਜੁਬਾਨੀ ਆਖੀ ਗਈ ਸੀ।
17 “It shall be in the last days, saith God, that I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters will prophesy, and your young men will see visions, and your old men will dream dreams;
੧੭ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਅੰਤ ਦੇ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਐਉਂ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ, ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣਾ ਆਤਮਾ ਸਾਰੇ ਸਰੀਰਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਵਹਾ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ, ਅਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੀਆਂ ਧੀਆਂ ਭਵਿੱਖਬਾਣੀ ਕਰਨਗੇ, ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਜੁਆਨ ਦਰਸ਼ਣ ਵੇਖਣਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗ ਸੁਫ਼ਨੇ ਵੇਖਣਗੇ।
18 and even on my servants, and on my handmaids, I will pour out of my Spirit in those days, and they will prophesy.
੧੮ਹਾਂ, ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਦਾਸਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਦਾਸੀਆਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣਾ ਆਤਮਾ ਵਹਾ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ, ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਭਵਿੱਖਬਾਣੀਆਂ ਕਰਨਗੇ।
19 And I will show wonders in heaven above, and signs on the earth beneath, blood, and fire, and vapor of smoke;
੧੯ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਚੰਭੇ, ਅਤੇ ਹੇਠਾਂ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨ ਅਰਥਾਤ ਲਹੂ ਅਤੇ ਅੱਗ ਅਤੇ ਧੁੰਏਂ ਦੇ ਬੱਦਲ ਵਿਖਾਵਾਂਗਾ।
20 the sun will be turned into darkness and the moon into blood, before the day of the Lord cometh, the great and notable day.
੨੦ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਸਿੱਧ ਦਿਨ ਦੇ ਆਉਣ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਸੂਰਜ ਹਨ੍ਹੇਰਾ ਅਤੇ ਚੰਨ ਲਹੂ ਵਰਗਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ,
21 And it shall be that every one that calleth on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
੨੧ਅਤੇ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ਕਿ ਹਰੇਕ ਜੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਪੁਕਾਰੇਗਾ ਉਹ ਬਚਾਇਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।
22 Men of Israel, hear these words! Jesus the Nazarene, a man approved of God to you by miracles, and wonders, and signs, which God wrought by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves know, —
੨੨ਹੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀਓ ਇਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਸੁਣੋ ਕਿ ਯਿਸੂ ਨਾਸਰੀ ਇੱਕ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸੀ, ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਸੱਚ ਹੋਣ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਮਾਣ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਚਮਤਕਾਰਾਂ, ਅਚੰਭਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ, ਜੋ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਹੱਥੀਂ ਵਿਖਾਈਆਂ, ਜਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਪ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਹੋ।
23 this man, being delivered up by the settled purpose and foreknowledge of God, ye, by the hand of godless men, crucified and slew.
੨੩ਯਿਸੂ ਨੂੰ, ਜੋ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਠਹਿਰਾਈ ਹੋਈ ਯੋਜਨਾ ਅਤੇ ਅਗੰਮ ਗਿਆਨ ਦੇ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਹਵਾਲੇ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਬੁਰਿਆਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਹੱਥੀਂ ਸਲੀਬ ਤੇ ਮਰਵਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
24 But God raised him up, having loosed the pains of death, because it was not possible that he should be held by it.
੨੪ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਮੌਤ ਦੀ ਪੀੜ੍ਹ ਦੇ ਬੰਧਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਖੋਲ੍ਹ ਕੇ, ਮੁਰਦਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਜਿਉਂਦਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਇਹ ਅਣਹੋਣਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਮੌਤ ਦੇ ਵੱਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹੇ।
25 For David saith concerning him, “I saw the Lord always before me; because he is on my right hand, that I should not be moved.
੨੫ਇਸ ਲਈ ਦਾਊਦ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਵਿਖੇ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ, ਮੈਂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਸਦਾ ਵੇਖਿਆ, ਉਹ ਮੇਰੇ ਸੱਜੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਹੈ, ਇਸ ਲਈ ਮੈਂ ਨਾ ਡੋਲਾਂਗਾ।
26 Therefore my heart rejoiced, and my tongue exulted; moreover also, my flesh shall dwell in hope;
੨੬ਇਸ ਕਾਰਨ ਮੇਰਾ ਦਿਲ ਅਨੰਦ ਹੋਇਆ, ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਜੀਭ ਖੁਸ਼ ਹੋਈ, ਹਾਂ, ਮੇਰਾ ਸਰੀਰ ਵੀ ਆਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਸੇਗਾ,
27 because thou wilt not abandon my soul to the underworld, nor wilt thou suffer thy holy one to see corruption. (Hadēs g86)
੨੭ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੀ ਜਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਪਤਾਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਾ ਛੱਡੇਂਗਾ, ਨਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਪੁਰਖ ਨੂੰ ਸੜਨ ਦੇਵੇਂਗਾ। (Hadēs g86)
28 Thou didst make known to me the ways of life; thou wilt make me full of joy with thy countenance.”
੨੮ਤੂੰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਜੀਵਨ ਦਾ ਰਾਹ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਹੈ, ਤੂੰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਦਰਸ਼ਣ ਤੋਂ ਅਨੰਦ ਨਾਲ ਭਰ ਦੇਵੇਂਗਾ।
29 Brethren, I may speak to you with freedom of the patriarch David, that he both died and was buried, and his tomb is among us to this day.
੨੯ਹੇ ਭਰਾਵੋ, ਮੈਂ ਘਰਾਣੇ ਦੇ ਸਰਦਾਰ ਦਾਊਦ ਦੇ ਵਿਖੇ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਨਾਲ ਕਹਿ ਸਕਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਮਰਿਆ ਤੇ ਦੱਬਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਦੀ ਕਬਰ ਅੱਜ ਤੱਕ ਸਾਡੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈ।
30 Being then a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn to him with an oath that he would set one sprung from his loins upon his throne,
੩੦ਇਸ ਕਰਕੇ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਨਬੀ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਇਹ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਸੀ ਜੋ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਸਹੁੰ ਖਾਧੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਤੇਰੇ ਵੰਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਨੂੰ ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੀ ਰਾਜ ਗੱਦੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਬਿਠਾਵਾਂਗਾ।
31 he foresaw and spoke of the resurrection of Christ, that neither was he abandoned to the underworld, nor did his flesh see corruption. (Hadēs g86)
੩੧ਉਹ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹੀ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਮਸੀਹ ਦੇ ਜੀ ਉੱਠਣ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਕਿ ਨਾ ਉਹ ਪਤਾਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਛੱਡਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਨਾ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਸਰੀਰ ਗਲਿਆ। (Hadēs g86)
32 This Jesus God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses.
੩੨ਉਸ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਜਿਉਂਦਾ ਉੱਠਾਇਆ, ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਅਸੀਂ ਸਭ ਗਵਾਹ ਹਾਂ।
33 Being therefore exalted by the right hand of God, and having received from the Father the promised Holy Spirit, he hath poured forth this, which ye both see and hear.
੩੩ਉਹ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਸੱਜੇ ਹੱਥ ਅੱਤ ਉੱਚਾ ਹੋ ਕੇ, ਪਿਤਾ ਤੋਂ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਆਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਵਾਇਦਾ ਪਾ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਜੋ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਵੇਖਦੇ ਅਤੇ ਸੁਣਦੇ ਹੋ, ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਉੱਤੇ, ਵਹਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
34 For David did not ascend into the heavens; but he himself saith, The Lord said to my lord, “Sit thou on my right hand,
੩੪ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਦਾਊਦ ਸਵਰਗ ਉੱਤੇ ਨਾ ਗਿਆ, ਪਰ ਉਹ ਕਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, “ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਸੱਜੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਬੈਠ,
35 until I make thine enemies thy footstool.”
੩੫ਜਦੋਂ ਤੱਕ ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਵੈਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੇਰੇ ਪੈਰ ਰੱਖਣ ਦੀ ਚੌਂਕੀ ਨਾ ਕਰ ਦੇਵਾਂ।”
36 Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly that God hath made him both Lord and Christ, this Jesus whom ye crucified.
੩੬ਇਸ ਲਈ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦਾ ਸਾਰਾ ਘਰਾਣਾ ਇਹ ਗੱਲ ਪੱਕੀ ਜਾਣ ਲਵੇ ਕਿ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਅਤੇ ਮਸੀਹ ਦੋਨੋ ਹੀ ਠਹਿਰਾਇਆ, ਜਿਸ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੂੰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸਲੀਬ ਉੱਤੇ ਚੜਾਇਆ ਸੀ।
37 And when they heard this, they were pierced to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, Brethren, what must we do?
੩੭ਜਦੋਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਸੁਣਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਦਿਲ ਵਿੰਨੇ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਪਤਰਸ ਅਤੇ ਬਾਕੀ ਦੇ ਰਸੂਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, ਹੇ ਭਰਾਵੋ ਅਸੀਂ ਕੀ ਕਰੀਏ?
38 But Peter said to them, Repent, and let every one of you be baptized to the name of Jesus Christ for forgiveness of sins, and ye will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
੩੮ਤਦ ਪਤਰਸ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, ਤੋਬਾ ਕਰੋ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਹਰੇਕ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਾਪਾਂ ਦੀ ਮਾਫ਼ੀ ਦੇ ਲਈ, ਯਿਸੂ ਮਸੀਹ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਉੱਤੇ ਬਪਤਿਸਮਾ ਲਵੇ ਤਦ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਆਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਵਰਦਾਨ ਪਾਂਓਗੇ।
39 For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all that are afar off, as many as the Lord our God shall call.
੩੯ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਇਹ ਵਾਇਦਾ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਬਾਲਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਸਭਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਦੂਰ ਹਨ, ਜਿੰਨਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਸਾਡਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਆਪਣੇ ਕੋਲ ਬੁਲਾਵੇਗਾ।
40 And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this perverse generation.
੪੦ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਵੀ ਬਹੁਤੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਉਹ ਨੇ ਗਵਾਹੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤਾ ਕਿ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਕੱਬੀ ਪੀੜੀ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਾਓ।
41 They therefore received his word, and were baptized; and there were added on that day about three thousand souls.
੪੧ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਦਾ ਬਚਨ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਨਾਲ ਮੰਨ ਲਿਆ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਬਪਤਿਸਮਾ ਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸੇ ਦਿਨ ਲੱਗਭਗ ਤਿੰਨ ਹਜ਼ਾਰ ਲੋਕ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਿਲ ਗਏ।
42 And they were constantly attending on the teaching of the apostles, and the imparting [[of their substance]], the breaking of bread, and the prayers.
੪੨ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਲਗਾਤਾਰ ਰਸੂਲਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਲੈਣ ਵਿੱਚ, ਸੰਗਤੀ ਰੱਖਣ ਵਿੱਚ, ਰੋਟੀ ਤੋੜਨ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੱਗੇ ਰਹੇ।
43 And fear came upon every soul; and many wonders and signs were wrought through the apostles.
੪੩ਸਭਨਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਡਰ ਛਾ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਅਚੰਭੇ ਤੇ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨ ਰਸੂਲਾਂ ਦੇ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਹੋਏ।
44 And all that believed were together, and had all things common;
੪੪ਅਤੇ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ ਉਹ ਸਭ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਵਸਤਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਾਂਝੇ ਭਾਈਵਾਲ ਸਨ।
45 and they sold their possessions and goods, and divided them among all, as any one had need.
੪੫ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਜਾਇਦਾਦ ਅਤੇ ਸਮਾਨ ਵੇਚ ਕੇ, ਜਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਲੋੜ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਸੀ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੰਡ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਸਨ।
46 And attending daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread in a private house, they partook of their food with gladness and singleness of heart,
੪੬ਅਤੇ ਹਰੇਕ ਦਿਨ ਇੱਕ ਮਨ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਹੈਕਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਗਾਤਾਰ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਅਤੇ ਘਰ-ਘਰ ਰੋਟੀ ਤੋੜਦੇ, ਉਹ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਅਤੇ ਸਿੱਧੇ ਮਨ ਨਾਲ ਭੋਜਨ ਛਕਦੇ ਸਨ।
47 praising God, and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily those who were in the way of salvation.
੪੭ਅਤੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਉਸਤਤ ਕਰਦੇ, ਅਤੇ ਸਭਨਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਹਰੇਕ ਦਿਨ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਬਚਾਏ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਸਨ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਿਲਾ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਸੀ।
