Acts 12
1 Now about that time, Herod the king laid his hands upon certain of the church, to oppress them.
O vaxtlar padşah Hirod cəmiyyətin bəzi üzvlərinə zülm etməyə əl atdı.
2 And he slew James, the brother of John, with the sword.
Yəhyanın qardaşı Yaqubu qılıncdan keçirib edam etdirdi.
3 And seeing that it pleased the Jews, he proceeded to apprehend Peter also; (then were the days of unleavened bread; )
Bundan Yəhudilərin razı qaldığını görüb üstəlik Peteri də tutdurdu. Bunu Mayasız Çörək bayramı vaxtında etdi.
4 and he seized him and put him in prison, and delivered him to four quaternions of soldiers to keep him; intending after the passover to bring him forth to the people.
O, Peteri yaxalatdırıb zindana saldırdı; onu hər birində dörd nəfər olmaqla dörd əsgəri dəstəyə nəzarət altında saxlanmaq üçün təslim etdi. Niyyətində tutmuşdu ki, Pasxa bayramından sonra xalq qarşısında onun məhkəməsini keçirsin.
5 Peter therefore was kept guarded in prison; but earnest prayer was made by the church to God in his behalf.
Peter buna görə zindanda saxlanılırdı. Lakin imanlılar cəmiyyəti ciddi-cəhdlə onun üçün Allaha dua edirdi.
6 And when Herod was about to bring him forth, on that night Peter was sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains, and keepers before the door were guarding the prison.
Peter Hirodun ona məhkəmə quracağı günün əvvəlki gecəsi iki əsgər arasında bir cüt zəncirə bağlanmış halda yatırdı. Qarovulçular da qapıda dayanıb zindanın təhlükəsizliyini qoruyurdu.
7 And lo! an angel of the Lord came to him, and a light shone in the room; and he smote Peter on the side, and roused him, saying, Rise up quickly. And his chains fell from his hands.
Qəflətən Rəbbin bir mələyi göründü. Zindanın otağı işıqlandı. Mələk Peterin böyrünə vurub onu oyatdı və dedi: «Tez ol, qalx». O andaca Peterin biləklərindəki zəncirlər düşdü.
8 And the angel said to him, Gird thyself, and bind on thy sandals; and he did so. And he saith to him, Throw thy garment round thee, and follow me.
Mələk ona dedi: «Qurşağını bağla, çarığını geyin». Peter belə də etdi. Mələk yenə dedi: «Üst paltarını geyin, ardımca gəl».
9 And he went out, and followed; and he knew not that what was done by the angel was real, but thought he saw a vision.
Peter onun ardınca düşərək bayıra çıxdı. Amma mələyin etdiyinin həqiqi olduğunu başa düşmürdü, elə bilirdi ki, bir görüntü görür.
10 And when they had passed the first, and the second guard, they came to the iron gate that leadeth to the city, which opened to them of itself; and they went out and passed on through one street, and the angel immediately departed from him.
Birinci, ikinci qarovulçunun yanından keçərək şəhərə açılan dəmir darvazaya çatdılar. Onların qarşısında darvaza öz-özünə açıldı. Onlar çıxıb küçə uzunu getdilər. Birdən mələk Peterdən ayrıldı.
11 And when Peter had come to himself, he said, Now I know certainly, that the Lord hath sent forth his angel, and hath delivered me out of the hand of Herod, and from all the expectation of the people of the Jews.
O andaca özünə gələn Peter dedi: «İndi əminliklə başa düşdüm ki, Rəbb Öz mələyini göndərib məni Hirodun əlindən və Yəhudi xalqının gözlədiyi bütün bəlalardan qurtardı».
12 And when he understood the matter, he came to the house of Mary the mother of John, surnamed Mark, where many were gathered together, and praying.
Peter bunları dərk edəndə Mark adlanan Yəhyanın anası Məryəmin evinə getdi. Orada xeyli adam yığılıb dua edirdi.
13 And as he knocked at the door of the gate, a maid-servant came to listen, named Rhoda;
Peter həyət qapısını döyməyə başladı və Roda adlı bir qarabaş eşidib qapıya getdi.
14 and recognizing Peter's voice, she opened not the gate for gladness; but ran in, and told them that Peter was standing before the gate.
Qız Peteri səsindən tanıdı və sevincindən qapını belə, açmadan yenə evə qaçdı. Oradakılara xəbər verdi ki, Peter qapıda dayanıb.
15 And they said to her, Thou art mad. But she positively affirmed that it was even so. Then they said, It is his angel.
Onlar isə belə dedilər: «Dəli olmusan?» Amma qız dediyinin üstündə durdu. Belə olanda dedilər: «Yəqin onu qoruyan mələkdir».
16 But Peter continued knocking; and opening the door, they saw him, and were amazed.
Peter isə dayanmadan qapını döyürdü. Qapını açıb onu görəndə mat qaldılar.
17 But beckoning to them with his hand to be silent, he related how the Lord had brought him out of the prison. And he said, Go and tell these things to James, and to the brethren. And he departed, and went to another place.
Peter əli ilə susmaq işarəsi verərək Rəbbin onu necə zindandan çıxardığını nəql etdi. Sonra «bu xəbəri Yaquba və o biri qardaşlara da çatdırın» deyərək onlardan ayrılıb başqa yerə getdi.
18 And when it was day, there was no small commotion among the soldiers, as to what had become of Peter.
Səhər açılanda əsgərləri böyük bir vahimə bürüdü. Bir-birlərindən soruşdular: «Bəs Peter necə oldu?»
19 And Herod, when he had sought for him and found him not, examined the keepers, and commanded that they should be led away [[to execution]]. And he went down from Judea to Caesarea, and there abode.
Hirod onu axtartdı. Tapa bilməyəndə isə qarovulçuları sorğu-suala çəkdirəndən sonra edam edilmələrinə əmr verdi. Bundan sonra Hirod Yəhudeyadan Qeysəriyyəyə yollandı və orada qaldı.
20 And he was highly displeased with the Tyrians and Sidonians; but they came to him with one accord, and having made Blastus the king's chamberlain their friend, sued for peace; because their country drew its nourishment from that of the king.
Hirod Sur və Sidon əhalisinə qarşı hiddətindən alışıb-yanırdı. Onlar birlikdə onun yanına gəlib sarayın məişət işləri üzrə müdiri Blastı öz tərəflərinə çəkərək sülh istədiklərini bildirdilər. Çünki onların ölkəsi padşahın ölkəsindən gələn ərzaqdan asılı idi.
21 And on a day appointed, Herod, having arrayed himself in royal apparel, and taken his seat on the throne, made a speech to them.
Təyin olunan gündə şahlıq libasını geyən Hirod hökm kürsüsünə oturaraq Sur və Sidonlulara müraciət etdi.
22 And thereupon the people shouted, The voice of a god, and not of a man!
Camaat qışqırmağa başladı: «Bu bir insanın səsi deyil, bir allahın səsidir!»
23 But immediately an angel of the Lord smote him, because he gave not God the glory, and he was eaten by worms, and expired.
O anda Rəbbin bir mələyi Hirodu vurdu. Çünki izzəti Allaha vermədi. Onu daxildən qurdlar yedi və canı çıxdı.
24 But the word of God grew and was extended.
Allahın kəlamı isə yayılırdı və təsiri artırdı.
25 And Barnabas and Saul returned from Jerusalem, having performed their service, taking with them also John, surnamed Mark.
Barnaba və Şaul Yerusəlimdəki xidmətlərini yerinə yetirəndən sonra Mark adlanan Yəhyanı özləri ilə götürüb geri qayıtdılar.
