Acts 11
1 And the apostles and the brethren throughout Judaea heard that the gentiles also had received the word of God.
Həvarilərlə bütün Yəhudeyadakı imanlı bacı-qardaşlar eşitdilər ki, başqa millətlər də Allahın kəlamını qəbul ediblər.
2 And when Peter went up to Jerusalem, they that were of the circumcision contended with him,
Peter Yerusəlimə gələndə sünnət tərəfdarları onu tənqid edərək
3 saying, Thou didst go in to men uncircumcised, and didst eat with them.
dedilər: «Sən sünnətsizlərin evinə gedib onlarla birgə yemək yemisən».
4 But Peter rehearsed the matter to them in order from the beginning, saying,
Peter sözə başlayıb onlara hər şeyi bir-bir izah etdi:
5 I was in the city of Joppa praying, and in a trance I saw a vision, a sort of vessel descending, as it were a great sheet, let down from heaven by four corners, and it came even to me;
«Mən Yafo şəhərində dua edirdim. Birdən fikrimi görüntü apardı. Gördüm ki, böyük mələfəyə bənzər bir şey dörd küncündən asılaraq göydən enib mənim yanıma çatır.
6 on which fixing my eyes, I observed, and saw the four-footed beasts of the earth, and the wild beasts, and the creeping things, and the birds of the air.
Bu şeyə gözlərimi dikib diqqətlə baxdım. Gördüm ki, onun üstündə yer üzərində yaşayan dördayaqlılar, çöl heyvanları, sürünənlər və göydə uçan quşlar var.
7 And I also heard a voice saying to me, Arise, Peter; slay and eat.
Sonra eşitdim ki, bir səda mənə deyir: “Qalx, Peter, kəs və ye!”
8 But I said, Not so, Lord; for nothing common or unclean ever entered my mouth.
Mən dedim: “Əsla, ya Rəbb! Heç vaxt mənim ağzıma nə haram, nə də murdar bir şey dəyməyib”.
9 But a voice answered the second time out of heaven, That which God hath cleansed, call not thou common.
Yenə göydən səda gəldi: “Allahın halal dediyi şeylərə sən haram demə”.
10 And this was done three times; and all were again drawn up into heaven.
Bu, üç dəfə təkrarlanandan sonra hər şey yenə göyə çəkildi.
11 And lo! immediately there stood three men at the house where I was, having been sent to me from Caesarea.
Elə bu zaman Qeysəriyyədən mənim yanıma göndərilən üç kişi qaldığımız evin qapısında dayandı.
12 And the Spirit bade me go with them. And these six brethren also came with me, and we entered the man's house.
Ruh mənə dedi ki, tərəddüd etmədən onlarla gedim. İmanlı qardaşlarımız olan bu altı nəfər də mənə qoşulub həmin kişinin evinə girdik.
13 And he told us how he had seen the angel in his house, standing and saying to him, Send to Joppa, and call for Simon, surnamed Peter;
Bu adam bizə nəql etdi ki, öz evində dayanan mələk görüb. Mələk ona demişdi: “Yafoya adamlar göndər, Peter adlanan Şimonu çağırtdır.
14 who will speak to thee words by which thou shalt be saved, and all thy house.
Onun sənə deyəcəyi sözlərlə həm sən, həm də bütün külfətin xilas olacaq”.
15 And as I began to speak, the Holy Spirit fell on them, as on us at the beginning.
Mən sözə başlayanda Müqəddəs Ruh başlanğıcda bizim üstümüzə endiyi kimi onların da üstünə endi.
16 And I remembered the word of the Lord, that he said, John indeed baptized with water, but ye shall be baptized in the Holy Spirit.
Onda Rəbbin dediyi bu sözlər yadıma düşdü: “Yəhya su ilə vəftiz etdi, amma siz Müqəddəs Ruhla vəftiz olacaqsınız”.
17 Since then God gave the like gift to them as to us, on believing in the Lord Jesus Christ, who was I, that I could withstand God?
Beləliklə, Rəbb İsa Məsihə iman edən bizlərə verdiyi eyni bəxşişi Allah onlara da veribsə, mən kiməm ki, Allaha qarşı çıxam?»
18 And when they heard these things, they held their peace, and glorified God, saying, So then to the gentiles also God hath granted repentance unto life.
Bu sözləri eşidib hamı sakitləşdi və Allahı izzətləndirib dedi: «Deməli, Allah başqa millətlərə də imkan yaratdı ki, tövbə edib həyat tapsın».
19 Now they who were scattered abroad by the persecution that arose on account of Stephen traveled as far as Phenicia, and Cyprus, and Antioch, speaking the word to none but Jews.
Stefanın öldürülməsi ilə başlanan təqib nəticəsində pərən-pərən düşən imanlılar Finikiya, Kipr və Antakyaya qədər getdilər. Allahın kəlamını yalnız Yəhudilərə dedilər.
20 But some of them were men of Cyprus and Cyrene, who, when they had come to Antioch, spoke to the Greeks, publishing the glad tidings of the Lord Jesus.
Amma onların arasından bəzi Kiprli və Kirenalılar Antakyaya gedib yunanca danışanlarla da söhbətə başladılar. Onlara Rəbb İsa ilə bağlı Müjdəni yayırdılar.
21 And the hand of the Lord was with them; and a great number believed, and turned to the Lord.
Rəbbin əli onların üzərində idi və bunun nəticəsində xeyli insan iman gətirib Rəbbə tərəf döndü.
22 But the talk concerning them came to the ears of the church which was in Jerusalem; and they sent forth Barnabas, to go as far as Antioch;
Bunların xəbəri Yerusəlimdəki cəmiyyətə çatdı və Barnabanı Antakyaya göndərdilər.
23 who, when he came, and saw the grace of God, rejoiced, and exhorted all to cleave to the Lord with purpose of heart;
O oraya çatanda Allahın lütfünün bəhrəsini görüb sevindi. O hamını həvəsləndirirdi ki, can-dildən Rəbbə bağlı qalsınlar.
24 for he was a good man, and full of the Holy Spirit and of faith. And a great multitude was added to the Lord.
Çünki özü Müqəddəs Ruhla və imanla dolu, xeyirxah bir kişi idi. Bunun nəticəsində də böyük bir kütlə Rəbbə iman gətirdi.
25 And he went to Tarsus, to seek for Saul;
Sonra Barnaba Tarsusa gedib Şaulu axtardı.
26 and when he had found him, he brought him to Antioch. And it came to pass, that for a whole year they came together in the church, and taught a great multitude; and the disciples were first called Christians in Antioch.
Onu tapan kimi Antakyaya gətirdi. Bir il ərzində oradakı imanlılar cəmiyyətinə qoşulub bir yerdə yığılaraq böyük bir kütləyə təlim öyrədirdi. Şagirdlər ilk dəfə olaraq Antakyada məsihçi adlandırıldı.
27 And in those days prophets came down from Jerusalem to Antioch.
Elə həmin günlərdə Yerusəlimdən Antakyaya bəzi peyğəmbərlər gəldi.
28 And one of them named Agabus stood up, and signified by the Spirit, that there was about to be a great famine over the whole world; which came to pass in the days of Claudius.
Bunlardan Aqab adlı biri qalxıb Ruhun təsiri ilə bütün dünyada böyük bir aclıq olacağını bildirdi. Bu aclıq Klavdinin hakimiyyəti dövrünə təsadüf olundu.
29 And according as any one of the disciples was prospered, they determined every one of them to send relief to the brethren who dwelt in Judaea;
Şagirdlər qərara aldılar ki, hər biri gücü çatan qədər Yəhudeyada yaşayan imanlı bacı-qardaşlarına yardım göndərsin.
30 which also they did, sending it to the elders by the hands of Barnabas and Saul.
Bu qərara əməl edərək yardımları Barnaba və Şaulun əli ilə cəmiyyət ağsaqqallarına göndərdilər.
