Acts 10
1 Now a certain man in Caesarea, named Cornelius, a centurion of the band called the Italian band,
කෛසරියානගර ඉතාලියාඛ්‍යසෛන්‍යාන්තර්ගතඃ කර්ණීලියනාමා සේනාපතිරාසීත්
2 a devout man, and one that feared God with all his house, giving much alms to the people, and praying to God always,
ස සපරිවාරෝ භක්ත ඊශ්වරපරායණශ්චාසීත්; ලෝකේභ්‍යෝ බහූනි දානාදීනි දත්වා නිරන්තරම් ඊශ්වරේ ප්‍රාර්ථයාඤ්චක්‍රේ|
3 saw in a vision plainly, about the ninth hour of the day, an angel of God coming in to him, and saying to him, Cornelius!
ඒකදා තෘතීයප්‍රහරවේලායාං ස දෘෂ්ටවාන් ඊශ්වරස්‍යෛකෝ දූතඃ සප්‍රකාශං තත්සමීපම් ආගත්‍ය කථිතවාන්, හේ කර්ණීලිය|
4 And he, looking steadily at him, and becoming affrighted, said, What is it, Lord? And he said to him, Thy prayers and thine alms have come up for a memorial before God.
කින්තු ස තං දෘෂ්ට්වා භීතෝ(අ)කථයත්, හේ ප්‍රභෝ කිං? තදා තමවදත් තව ප්‍රාර්ථනා දානාදි ච සාක්‍ෂිස්වරූපං භූත්වේශ්වරස්‍ය ගෝචරමභවත්|
5 And now send men to Joppa, and call for one Simon, who is surnamed Peter;
ඉදානීං යාඵෝනගරං ප්‍රති ලෝකාන් ප්‍රේෂ්‍ය සමුද්‍රතීරේ ශිමෝන්නාම්නශ්චර්ම්මකාරස්‍ය ගෘහේ ප්‍රවාසකාරී පිතරනාම්නා විඛ්‍යාතෝ යඃ ශිමෝන් තම් ආහ්වායය;
6 he lodgeth with one Simon a tanner, whose house is by the seaside.
තස්මාත් ත්වයා යද්‍යත් කර්ත්තව්‍යං තත්තත් ස වදිෂ්‍යති|
7 And when the angel that spoke to him had departed, he called two of his household servants, and a devout soldier of those who waited on him,
ඉත්‍යුපදිශ්‍ය දූතේ ප්‍රස්ථිතේ සති කර්ණීලියඃ ස්වගෘහස්ථානාං දාසානාං ද්වෞ ජනෞ නිත්‍යං ස්වසඞ්ගිනාං සෛන්‍යානාම් ඒකාං භක්තසේනාඤ්චාහූය
8 and having told them every thing sent them to Joppa.
සකලමේතං වෘත්තාන්තං විඥාප්‍ය යාඵෝනගරං තාන් ප්‍රාහිණෝත්|
9 On the morrow, as they were on their journey, and were drawing near the city, Peter went up on the housetop to pray, about the sixth hour.
පරස්මින් දිනේ තේ යාත්‍රාං කෘත්වා යදා නගරස්‍ය සමීප උපාතිෂ්ඨන්, තදා පිතරෝ ද්විතීයප්‍රහරවේලායාං ප්‍රාර්ථයිතුං ගෘහපෘෂ්ඨම් ආරෝහත්|
10 And he became very hungry and wished to eat; but while they were making ready, a trance came upon him,
ඒතස්මින් සමයේ ක්‍ෂුධාර්ත්තඃ සන් කිඤ්චිද් භෝක්තුම් ඓච්ඡත් කින්තු තේෂාම් අන්නාසාදනසමයේ ස මූර්ච්ඡිතඃ සන්නපතත්|
11 and he beheld heaven opened, and a sort of vessel descending, as it were a large sheet having cords at the four corners, and let down upon the earth;
තතෝ මේඝද්වාරං මුක්තං චතුර්භිඃ කෝණෛ ර්ලම්බිතං බෘහද්වස්ත්‍රමිව කිඤ්චන භාජනම් ආකාශාත් පෘථිවීම් අවාරෝහතීති දෘෂ්ටවාන්|
12 wherein were all the four-footed beasts and creeping things of the earth, and birds of the air.
තන්මධ්‍යේ නානප්‍රකාරා ග්‍රාම්‍යවන්‍යපශවඃ ඛේචරෝරෝගාමිප්‍රභෘතයෝ ජන්තවශ්චාසන්|
13 And there came a voice to him, Arise, Peter; slay, and eat.
අනන්තරං හේ පිතර උත්ථාය හත්වා භුංක්‍ෂ්ව තම්ප්‍රතීයං ගගණීයා වාණී ජාතා|
14 But Peter said, Not so, Lord; for I have never eaten anything common and unclean.
තදා පිතරඃ ප්‍රත්‍යවදත්, හේ ප්‍රභෝ ඊදෘශං මා භවතු, අහම් ඒතත් කාලං යාවත් නිෂිද්ධම් අශුචි වා ද්‍රව්‍යං කිඤ්චිදපි න භුක්තවාන්|
15 And a voice came to him again, the second time, That which God hath cleansed, call not thou common.
තතඃ පුනරපි තාදෘශී විහයසීයා වාණී ජාතා යද් ඊශ්වරඃ ශුචි කෘතවාන් තත් ත්වං නිෂිද්ධං න ජානීහි|
16 This was done three times; and the vessel was immediately taken up into heaven.
ඉත්ථං ත්‍රිඃ සති තත් පාත්‍රං පුනරාකෘෂ්ටං ආකාශම් අගච්ඡත්|
17 Now, while Peter was doubting within himself what the vision which he had seen meant, lo! the men who were sent from Cornelius had made inquiry for Simon's house, and stood before the gate;
තතඃ පරං යද් දර්ශනං ප්‍රාප්තවාන් තස්‍ය කෝ භාව ඉත්‍යත්‍ර පිතරෝ මනසා සන්දේග්ධි, ඒතස්මින් සමයේ කර්ණීලියස්‍ය තේ ප්‍රේෂිතා මනුෂ්‍යා ද්වාරස්‍ය සන්නිධාවුපස්ථාය,
18 and they called, and asked whether Simon, surnamed Peter, lodged there.
ශිමෝනෝ ගෘහමන්විච්ඡන්තඃ සම්පෘඡ්‍යාහූය කථිතවන්තඃ පිතරනාම්නා විඛ්‍යාතෝ යඃ ශිමෝන් ස කිමත්‍ර ප්‍රවසති?
19 And while Peter was meditating on the vision, the Spirit said to him, Behold, men are seeking thee;
යදා පිතරස්තද්දර්ශනස්‍ය භාවං මනසාන්දෝලයති තදාත්මා තමවදත්, පශ්‍ය ත්‍රයෝ ජනාස්ත්වාං මෘගයන්තේ|
20 but arise, and go down, and go with them, without scruple; for I have sent them.
ත්වම් උත්ථායාවරුහ්‍ය නිඃසන්දේහං තෛඃ සහ ගච්ඡ මයෛව තේ ප්‍රේෂිතාඃ|
21 And Peter went down to the men and said, Behold, I am he whom ye are seeking; for what cause have ye come?
තස්මාත් පිතරෝ(අ)වරුහ්‍ය කර්ණීලියප්‍රේරිතලෝකානාං නිකටමාගත්‍ය කථිතවාන් පශ්‍යත යූයං යං මෘගයධ්වේ ස ජනෝහං, යූයං කින්නිමිත්තම් ආගතාඃ?
22 And they said, Cornelius a centurion, a righteous man, and one that feareth God, and of good report among all the nation of the Jews, was warned from God by a holy angel to send for thee to his house, and to hear words from thee.
තතස්තේ ප්‍රත්‍යවදන් කර්ණීලියනාමා ශුද්ධසත්ත්ව ඊශ්වරපරායණෝ යිහූදීයදේශස්ථානාං සර්ව්වේෂාං සන්නිධෞ සුඛ්‍යාත්‍යාපන්න ඒකඃ සේනාපති ර්නිජගෘහං ත්වාමාහූය නේතුං ත්වත්තඃ කථා ශ්‍රෝතුඤ්ච පවිත්‍රදූතේන සමාදිෂ්ටඃ|
23 Then he called them in, and lodged them. And on the morrow he arose and went forth with them, and certain of the brethren from Joppa accompanied him.
තදා පිතරස්තානභ්‍යන්තරං නීත්වා තේෂාමාතිථ්‍යං කෘතවාන්, පරේ(අ)හනි තෛඃ සාර්ද්ධං යාත්‍රාමකරෝත්, යාඵෝනිවාසිනාං භ්‍රාතෘණාං කියන්තෝ ජනාශ්ච තේන සහ ගතාඃ|
24 And the morrow after, he came into Caesarea. And Cornelius was expecting them, and had called together his kinsmen and near friends.
පරස්මින් දිවසේ කෛසරියානගරමධ්‍යප්‍රවේශසමයේ කර්ණීලියෝ ඥාතිබන්ධූන් ආහූයානීය තාන් අපේක්‍ෂ්‍ය ස්ථිතඃ|
25 And as Peter came in, Cornelius met him, and fell down at his feet, and did him reverence.
පිතරේ ගෘහ උපස්ථිතේ කර්ණීලියස්තං සාක්‍ෂාත්කෘත්‍ය චරණයෝඃ පතිත්වා ප්‍රාණමත්|
26 But Peter raised him up, saying, Stand up; I myself also am a man.
පිතරස්තමුත්ථාප්‍ය කථිතවාන්, උත්තිෂ්ඨාහමපි මානුෂඃ|
27 And while talking with him, he went in, and found many who had come together.
තදා කර්ණීලියේන සාකම් ආලපන් ගෘහං ප්‍රාවිශත් තන්මධ්‍යේ ච බහුලෝකානාං සමාගමං දෘෂ්ට්වා තාන් අවදත්,
28 And he said to them, Ye know that it is an unlawful thing for a Jew to keep company with one of another nation, or to come near him; but God showed me that I should not call any man common or unclean.
අන්‍යජාතීයලෝකෛඃ මහාලපනං වා තේෂාං ගෘහමධ්‍යේ ප්‍රවේශනං යිහූදීයානාං නිෂිද්ධම් අස්තීති යූයම් අවගච්ඡථ; කින්තු කමපි මානුෂම් අව්‍යවහාර‍්‍ය්‍යම් අශුචිං වා ඥාතුං මම නෝචිතම් ඉති පරමේශ්වරෝ මාං ඥාපිතවාන්|
29 Wherefore I came without objection, when sent for. I ask therefore, for what reason did ye send for me?
ඉති හේතෝරාහ්වානශ්‍රවණමාත්‍රාත් කාඤ්චනාපත්තිම් අකෘත්වා යුෂ්මාකං සමීපම් ආගතෝස්මි; පෘච්ඡාමි යූයං කින්නිමිත්තං මාම් ආහූයත?
30 And Cornelius said, Four days ago, I was fasting till this hour; and at the ninth hour was praying in my house; and lo! a man stood before me in bright clothing,
තදා කර්ණීලියඃ කථිතවාන්, අද්‍ය චත්වාරි දිනානි ජාතානි ඒතාවද්වේලාං යාවද් අහම් අනාහාර ආසන් තතස්තෘතීයප්‍රහරේ සති ගෘහේ ප්‍රාර්ථනසමයේ තේජෝමයවස්ත්‍රභෘද් ඒකෝ ජනෝ මම සමක්‍ෂං තිෂ්ඨන් ඒතාං කථාම් අකථයත්,
31 and said, Cornelius, thy prayer hath been heard, and thine alms have been remembered before God.
හේ කර්ණීලිය ත්වදීයා ප්‍රාර්ථනා ඊශ්වරස්‍ය කර්ණගෝචරීභූතා තව දානාදි ච සාක්‍ෂිස්වරූපං භූත්වා තස්‍ය දෘෂ්ටිගෝචරමභවත්|
32 Send therefore to Joppa, and call for Simon, who is surnamed Peter; he lodgeth in the house of Simon a tanner, by the sea-side; and he, when he cometh, will speak to thee.
අතෝ යාඵෝනගරං ප්‍රති ලෝකාන් ප්‍රහිත්‍ය තත්‍ර සමුද්‍රතීරේ ශිමෝන්නාම්නඃ කස්‍යචිච්චර්ම්මකාරස්‍ය ගෘහේ ප්‍රවාසකාරී පිතරනාම්නා විඛ්‍යාතෝ යඃ ශිමෝන් තමාහූයය; තතඃ ස ආගත්‍ය ත්වාම් උපදේක්‍ෂ්‍යති|
33 I therefore sent to thee immediately; and thou hast done well in coming here. Now therefore we are all present before God, to hear all things that have been commanded thee from the Lord.
ඉති කාරණාත් තත්ක්‍ෂණාත් තව නිකටේ ලෝකාන් ප්‍රේෂිතවාන්, ත්වමාගතවාන් ඉති භද්‍රං කෘතවාන්| ඊශ්වරෝ යාන්‍යාඛ්‍යානානි කථයිතුම් ආදිශත් තානි ශ්‍රෝතුං වයං සර්ව්වේ සාම්ප්‍රතම් ඊශ්වරස්‍ය සාක්‍ෂාද් උපස්ථිතාඃ ස්මඃ|
34 And Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is not a respecter of persons,
තදා පිතර ඉමාං කථාං කථයිතුම් ආරබ්ධවාන්, ඊශ්වරෝ මනුෂ්‍යාණාම් අපක්‍ෂපාතී සන්
35 but in every nation he that feareth him and worketh righteousness is acceptable to him—
යස්‍ය කස්‍යචිද් දේශස්‍ය යෝ ලෝකාස්තස්මාද්භීත්වා සත්කර්ම්ම කරෝති ස තස්‍ය ග්‍රාහ්‍යෝ භවති, ඒතස්‍ය නිශ්චයම් උපලබ්ධවානහම්|
36 the word which he sent to the sons of Israel, publishing glad tidings of peace through Jesus Christ; he is Lord of all men.
සර්ව්වේෂාං ප්‍රභු ර‍්‍යෝ යීශුඛ්‍රීෂ්ටස්තේන ඊශ්වර ඉස්‍රායේල්වංශානාං නිකටේ සුසංවාදං ප්‍රේෂ්‍ය සම්මේලනස්‍ය යං සංවාදං ප්‍රාචාරයත් තං සංවාදං යූයං ශ්‍රුතවන්තඃ|
37 Ye yourselves know what was spoken of through the whole of Judaea, beginning from Galilee after the baptism which John preached,
යතෝ යෝහනා මජ්ජනේ ප්‍රචාරිතේ සති ස ගාලීලදේශමාරභ්‍ය සමස්තයිහූදීයදේශං ව්‍යාප්නෝත්;
38 relating to Jesus of Nazareth, that God anointed him with the Holy Spirit and with power; who went about doing good, and healing all that were overpowered by the Devil; for God was with him.
ඵලත ඊශ්වරේණ පවිත්‍රේණාත්මනා ශක්ත්‍යා චාභිෂික්තෝ නාසරතීයයීශුඃ ස්ථානේ ස්ථානේ භ්‍රමන් සුක්‍රියාං කුර්ව්වන් ශෛතානා ක්ලිෂ්ටාන් සර්ව්වලෝකාන් ස්වස්ථාන් අකරෝත්, යත ඊශ්වරස්තස්‍ය සහාය ආසීත්;
39 And we are witnesses of all things which he did both in the country of the Jews and in Jerusalem; whom they also slew by hanging him on a cross.
වයඤ්ච යිහූදීයදේශේ යිරූශාලම්නගරේ ච තේන කෘතානාං සර්ව්වේෂාං කර්ම්මණාං සාක්‍ෂිණෝ භවාමඃ| ලෝකාස්තං ක්‍රුශේ විද්ධ්වා හතවන්තඃ,
40 Him God raised up on the third day, and caused him to be manifested,
කින්තු තෘතීයදිවසේ ඊශ්වරස්තමුත්ථාප්‍ය සප්‍රකාශම් අදර්ශයත්|
41 not to all the people, but to witnesses before appointed by God, to ourselves, who ate and drank with him after he rose from the dead;
සර්ව්වලෝකානාං නිකට ඉති න හි, කින්තු තස්මින් ශ්මශානාදුත්ථිතේ සති තේන සාර්ද්ධං භෝජනං පානඤ්ච කෘතවන්ත ඒතාදෘශා ඊශ්වරස්‍ය මනෝනීතාඃ සාක්‍ෂිණෝ යේ වයම් අස්මාකං නිකටේ තමදර්ශයත්|
42 and he commanded us to preach to the people, and to testify that it is he who hath been appointed by God to be judge of the living and the dead.
ජීවිතමෘතෝභයලෝකානාං විචාරං කර්ත්තුම් ඊශ්වරෝ යං නියුක්තවාන් ස ඒව ස ජනඃ, ඉමාං කථාං ප්‍රචාරයිතුං තස්මින් ප්‍රමාණං දාතුඤ්ච සෝ(අ)ස්මාන් ආඥාපයත්|
43 To him all the prophets bear witness, that through his name every one that believeth in him shall receive forgiveness of sins.
යස්තස්මින් විශ්වසිති ස තස්‍ය නාම්නා පාපාන්මුක්තෝ භවිෂ්‍යති තස්මින් සර්ව්වේ භවිෂ්‍යද්වාදිනෝපි ඒතාදෘශං සාක්‍ෂ්‍යං දදති|
44 While Peter was yet speaking these words, the Holy Spirit fell on all that heard the word.
පිතරස්‍යෛතත්කථාකථනකාලේ සර්ව්වේෂාං ශ්‍රෝතෘණාමුපරි පවිත්‍ර ආත්මාවාරෝහත්|
45 And those of the circumcision who believed, as many as came with Peter, were astonished that on the gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Spirit;
තතඃ පිතරේණ සාර්ද්ධම් ආගතාස්ත්වක්ඡේදිනෝ විශ්වාසිනෝ ලෝකා අන්‍යදේශීයේභ්‍යඃ පවිත්‍ර ආත්මනි දත්තේ සති
46 for they heard them speaking with tongues, and magnifying God. Then answered Peter,
තේ නානාජාතීයභාෂාභිඃ කථාං කථයන්ත ඊශ්වරං ප්‍රශංසන්ති, ඉති දෘෂ්ට්වා ශ්‍රුත්වා ච විස්මයම් ආපද්‍යන්ත|
47 Can any one forbid water, that these should not be baptized, who have received the Holy Spirit even as we have?
තදා පිතරඃ කථිතවාන්, වයමිව යේ පවිත්‍රම් ආත්මානං ප්‍රාප්තාස්තේෂාං ජලමජ්ජනං කිං කෝපි නිෂේද්ධුං ශක්නෝති?
48 And he commanded that they should be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then they entreated him to remain some days.
තතඃ ප්‍රභෝ ර්නාම්නා මජ්ජිතා භවතේති තානාඥාපයත්| අනන්තරං තේ ස්වෛඃ සාර්ද්ධං කතිපයදිනානි ස්ථාතුං ප්‍රාර්ථයන්ත|
