< Acts 10 >
1 Now a certain man in Caesarea, named Cornelius, a centurion of the band called the Italian band,
Ahali umuntu umo hunsi ya hu Kaisaria, itawa ali yu Kornelio, ali gosi weshipuga eshe Kiitalia.
2 a devout man, and one that feared God with all his house, giving much alms to the people, and praying to God always,
Ali muntu wa Ngulubhi na afumiaga esadaka zinyinji abhapelaga abhantu, aputaga hwa Ngulubhi ensiku zyonti.
3 saw in a vision plainly, about the ninth hour of the day, an angel of God coming in to him, and saying to him, Cornelius!
Yahali saa tisa ezya pasanya ahalola embonesyo ahalola umalaika ahwenza hwa mwene ula umalaika wabhuula u “Kornelio!
4 And he, looking steadily at him, and becoming affrighted, said, What is it, Lord? And he said to him, Thy prayers and thine alms have come up for a memorial before God.
U Kornelio wamwenya tee ula umalaika, wayeta tee waga huliyenu gosi? Umalaika waga esadaka zyaho ne mpuuto zyaho zifishile hwa Ngulubhi na zilizyahwizushe.”
5 And now send men to Joppa, and call for one Simon, who is surnamed Peter;
Bhatume abhantu hu Yafa bhakwizye uPetro.
6 he lodgeth with one Simon a tanner, whose house is by the seaside.
Akhala hwa Simoni yalinganya ensunga enyumba yakwe eli munsenje ye bahari.”
7 And when the angel that spoke to him had departed, he called two of his household servants, and a devout soldier of those who waited on him,
Ula umalaika nawasogola, u Kornelio wabhakwizya aboyi bhakwe bhabhili nu sikari umo yaputaga nawo nahubhombele embombo.
8 and having told them every thing sent them to Joppa.
U Kornelio wabhabhuula zyonti zyazilolile wabhatuma hu Yafa.
9 On the morrow, as they were on their journey, and were drawing near the city, Peter went up on the housetop to pray, about the sixth hour.
Nabhaapulamila afishe hujini, u Petro wazubha hwigulu apuute.
10 And he became very hungry and wished to eat; but while they were making ready, a trance came upon him,
Nantele enzala yalumile tee nabhali ateleshe walola embonesyo,
11 and he beheld heaven opened, and a sort of vessel descending, as it were a large sheet having cords at the four corners, and let down upon the earth;
walola emwanya eyigushe walola ahantu hali neshumwenda hahwiha pansi ne nshenje zine.
12 wherein were all the four-footed beasts and creeping things of the earth, and birds of the air.
Muhati yakwe vyahali evintu vyonti evyomi vyaviliwa manama gane, ne vyavihwavula nevyaviluha humwanya.
13 And there came a voice to him, Arise, Peter; slay, and eat.
Wumnvwa izu liyanga lyaga Petro sinza ulye”.
14 But Peter said, Not so, Lord; for I have never eaten anything common and unclean.
U Petro waga sigaembwahile alya evintu evichafu.
15 And a voice came to him again, the second time, That which God hath cleansed, call not thou common.
U Petro wumvwa nantele ulwabhili izu liyiga vyazijozizye Ungulubhi uganje ayanje huje vibhibhi.
16 This was done three times; and the vessel was immediately taken up into heaven.
Eli lyabhombisha hatatu hala ahombo hazubha humwanya nantele.
17 Now, while Peter was doubting within himself what the vision which he had seen meant, lo! the men who were sent from Cornelius had made inquiry for Simon's house, and stood before the gate;
U Petro nasibha embonesyo izyo, abhantu bhabhatumwilwe nu Kornelio bhabhabhafishile bhemeleye mundyango bhabhuzilizya enyumba yali uPetro.
18 and they called, and asked whether Simon, surnamed Peter, lodged there.
Bhabhuuzilizya aje uSimoni yahwetwa Petro nkakhala omu.
19 And while Peter was meditating on the vision, the Spirit said to him, Behold, men are seeking thee;
U Petro pali seebhe embonesyo zila Umpepo Ufinjile wabhuula huja abhantu bhatatu bhahuhwanza hwonze.
20 but arise, and go down, and go with them, without scruple; for I have sent them.
Bhuha iha panji ulongozanye nabho embatumile weene leha ahwogope.”
21 And Peter went down to the men and said, Behold, I am he whom ye are seeking; for what cause have ye come?
U Petro wabhaga bhimiliye wabhabhuzya mwenzeye yeenu? Nene nemunanza?”
22 And they said, Cornelius a centurion, a righteous man, and one that feareth God, and of good report among all the nation of the Jews, was warned from God by a holy angel to send for thee to his house, and to hear words from thee.
Atitumile umuntu umo gosi weshipuga muntu puuti, abhuulelwe nu malaika aje ubhale akhaya yakwe ayumvwe zyuli nazyo.”
23 Then he called them in, and lodged them. And on the morrow he arose and went forth with them, and certain of the brethren from Joppa accompanied him.
U Petro wabhakaribisya munyumba, shampwiti yakwe bhasogola bhonti, u Petro wabega abhantu abhahu Yafa bhashe bhalongozanya nawo.
24 And the morrow after, he came into Caesarea. And Cornelius was expecting them, and had called together his kinsmen and near friends.
Shandabho yakwe bhafiha hu Kaisaria. Bhamwaga uKornelio abhaguulila abhunginye ajirani bhakwe na bhaala bhonti bha munyumba yakwe.
25 And as Peter came in, Cornelius met him, and fell down at his feet, and did him reverence.
U Petro nawafiha u Kornelio wabhala huposhe waundamila mmanama gakwe abhonesye huje atinishe.
26 But Peter raised him up, saying, Stand up; I myself also am a man.
U Petro wabhusya waga ane nanee endi muntu neshiawe.”
27 And while talking with him, he went in, and found many who had come together.
U Petro naliyanje nawe ayinjila anyumba wega abhantu bhabhungine bhabhinji.
28 And he said to them, Ye know that it is an unlawful thing for a Jew to keep company with one of another nation, or to come near him; but God showed me that I should not call any man common or unclean.
Wabhabhuula huje amwe mwemwe mulolile huje ate namwe setisangana. Lelo Ungulubhi andamiye aje usahabhakwizye abhantu bhembozizye ane aje bhachafu.
29 Wherefore I came without objection, when sent for. I ask therefore, for what reason did ye send for me?
Ndiyo maana ewenzele eshi muyanje zyamunkwizizizye.”
30 And Cornelius said, Four days ago, I was fasting till this hour; and at the ninth hour was praying in my house; and lo! a man stood before me in bright clothing,
U Kornelio wagamula waga ensiku zine zyashilile esala neshi ezi nalipuute munyumba yane, umuntu winza akwite amenda amazelu,
31 and said, Cornelius, thy prayer hath been heard, and thine alms have been remembered before God.
Wambula waga “Kornelio empuuto zyaho ne sadaka zyaho zifishile humwanya hwa Ngulubhi nazili zyahwizushe hwa mwene.
32 Send therefore to Joppa, and call for Simon, who is surnamed Peter; he lodgeth in the house of Simon a tanner, by the sea-side; and he, when he cometh, will speak to thee.
Eshi tuma umuntu hu Yafa ukwizya uSimoni yahwitwa Petro akhala hwa muntu yahwitwa Simoni yalinganya ensunga enyumba yakwe eli munshenje ye bahari.
33 I therefore sent to thee immediately; and thou hast done well in coming here. Now therefore we are all present before God, to hear all things that have been commanded thee from the Lord.
Nabhahwinze umwene abhayanje namwe.
34 And Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is not a respecter of persons,
U Petro wayanga waga lyoli neteha huje Ungulubhi siga ali no upendeleo.
35 but in every nation he that feareth him and worketh righteousness is acceptable to him—
Umuntu yayonto yahumwitiha umwene wope Ungulubhi ahumweteha umuntu uyo.
36 the word which he sent to the sons of Israel, publishing glad tidings of peace through Jesus Christ; he is Lord of all men.
Enongwa zyayangaga na bha Israeli zyali zya bhantu abhe mataifa gonti ashilile hwa Yesu Kilisti-
37 Ye yourselves know what was spoken of through the whole of Judaea, beginning from Galilee after the baptism which John preached,

38 relating to Jesus of Nazareth, that God anointed him with the Holy Spirit and with power; who went about doing good, and healing all that were overpowered by the Devil; for God was with him.
Lila lyalyabhombehaga nu Yesu Ungulubhi apishe amafuta aga Umpepo Ufinjile ni khone abhalaga aponile abhantu bhabhayembaga nu shetani Ungulubhi ali pandwemo nawo.
39 And we are witnesses of all things which he did both in the country of the Jews and in Jerusalem; whom they also slew by hanging him on a cross.
Ate tilibhaketi bha mambo gonti gagabhombishe hunsi zya Uyahudi na hu Yerusalemu-unu uYesu yabhabudile na hulembezye mwikwi.
40 Him God raised up on the third day, and caused him to be manifested,
Unu umuntu Ungulubhi azyusizye isiku elyatatu na manyihane,
41 not to all the people, but to witnesses before appointed by God, to ourselves, who ate and drank with him after he rose from the dead;
siga hwa bhantu bhonti umwene abhonishe hwa abhantu bhakwe bhabhasaluye, ate tetalyanga nawo na mwele nawo nawazyuha afume hwa bhafwe.
42 and he commanded us to preach to the people, and to testify that it is he who hath been appointed by God to be judge of the living and the dead.
Atilajizizye alumbilile hwa bhantu bhonti aje unu yabhehwelwe nu Ngulubhi aja abhe gamulanyi wa bhafwe na bhomi.
43 To him all the prophets bear witness, that through his name every one that believeth in him shall receive forgiveness of sins.
Na akuwe bhakuwilwe, huje shila muntu yaihumwitiha aisajilwa embibhi zyakwe ashilile hwitawa lyakwe.”
44 While Peter was yet speaking these words, the Holy Spirit fell on all that heard the word.
U Petro nahendelelaga ayanje Umpepo Ufinjile wabhinjila abhonti bhabhali munyumba mula bhabhatejelezyaga.
45 And those of the circumcision who believed, as many as came with Peter, were astonished that on the gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Spirit;
Bhaala bhahenzele nu Petro bhabhatahiriwe- bhaswijile tee huje bhope amataifa(apagani) Ungulubhi abhapeela Umpepo Ufinjile.
46 for they heard them speaking with tongues, and magnifying God. Then answered Peter,
Bhabhahumvwizye bhayanga injango ezyenje na hulumbilile Ungulubhi. U Petro waga,
47 Can any one forbid water, that these should not be baptized, who have received the Holy Spirit even as we have?
“Ahweli umuntu yayonti yabhajiye akhane aje abhantu bhasahoziwe bhabhaposhiye Umpepo Ufinjile neshi ate?”
48 And he commanded that they should be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then they entreated him to remain some days.
U Petro wabhabhuula huje bhoziwe hwitawa lya Yesu Kilisti. Pamande bhalaabha uPetro huje akhale na bhene hunsiku kazaa.
