< 2 Peter 1 >
1 Symeon Peter, a servant and apostle of Jesus Christ, to those who have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of our God, and the Saviour Jesus Christ:
Jisu Kristo laksuh nyia kaamwah Simoon Pitar jiin nawa— Arah le ah Rangte nyia Jisu Kristo kateng jun ih seng likhiik thaangchaan nyia tuumaangte loong suh:
2 Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord.
Rangte nyia Jisu Kristo mongtham jun ih minchan nyia semroongroong ah thoontang sen raangtaan ih toom ang ah.
3 Seeing that his Divine power hath given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness;
Thooroom ih songtong suh Rangte chaan aphaan nawa ih jirep ah koh hali, erah langla heh teewah rangka doh roongroop suh o ih poon hali erah seng mongtham jun ih kohali.
4 through which he hath given us exceedingly great and precious promises, that by these ye may become partakers of the Divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in the world through lust;
Erah raangtaan ih, heh ih kakhamta jun ih elongthoon nyia thaangchaan ranglakkot ah emah ju kohali, tiimnge liidi arah mongrep dowa mithet haatte hansi ramka dowa arah lakkot jun ih pui an, eno Rangte banlam adoh jen roongroop an.
5 even for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, and to virtue knowledge,
Erah raangtaan ih sen loong tuumaang khotok doh ese ang theng; ese khotok doh mongtham eje ang theng;
6 and to knowledge self-control, and to self-control endurance, and to endurance godliness,
mongtham damdoh maama teewah jen sokboi theng; maama teewah jen sokboi damdoh jen naan etheng; jen naan ih han damdoh hebanlam ih Rangte angla likhiik ang theng;
7 and to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love.
Rangte banlam likhiik damdoh Kristaan minchan eje ang theng; Kristaan minchan damdoh mongnook eje ang theng.
8 For if these things are in you and abound, they make you neither inactive nor unfruitful in gaining the full knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Sen taangnah erah loong ah eje angjih, erah loong ah je taano juuba seng Teesu Jisu Kristo mongtham adoh kamkam ang an.
9 But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was cleansed from his old sins.
Enoothong erah loong ah lajeeka bah, sen ih tah luitup kan ang ah eno sen rangdah ehak nawa saasiit tahan ah beehaat ehan.
10 Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure; for if ye do these things, ye will never fall.
Joon awaan loong, erah raangtaan ih, Rangte ih poon tahan nyia danje tahan ah jat suh saarookwet ehan samthun an; emah re anbah, sen tuumaang mabah uh tathiinhaat kan.
11 For in this way the entrance will be richly furnished you into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. (aiōnios )
Emamah ang anno juuba, sen Teesu nyia sen Pangte Jisu Kristo Hasong roitang raangtaan jeela adoh jen nopwang suh kamkam ih epun elan. (aiōnios )
12 Wherefore I shall be careful always to remind you of these things, though ye know them, and are established in the truth that is with you.
Erah raangtaan ih, amiisak lampo sen ih chochaat tan ah naririh ih jen jat ih tanbah uh, arah tiit ah dopbaat dopbaat ih rumha.
13 Yea, I think it right, as long as I am in this tabernacle, to stir you up by reminding you;
Nga mikthingthing doh, arah tiit loong ah sen suh baat suh ngah epun ih ang ngeh ih thun hang.
14 knowing that I must soon put off my tabernacle, even as our Lord Jesus Christ declared to me.
Ngah ih jat ehang nga sakpuh etekjaat ah seek ih matsoon ah, erah tiit ah seng Teesu Jisu Kristo ih saasa ih baat tahang.
15 Moreover I shall endeavor that at all times ye may be able, after my departure, to call these things to mind.
Erah raangtaan ih, ngah tek lidoh erah tiit ah saarookwet dokthun thuksuh lam baatkot eseethoon ang ah.
16 For we did not follow cunningly devised fables, when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but had been made eye-witnesses of his majesty.
Seng Teesu Jisu Kristo ruurangrang kaat tiit baatti ah, seng mina ih dongsiit erah lekhiikkhiik tah angka. Heh rakkak ah seng mikmik ih tupti.
17 For he received from God the Father honor and glory, when such a voice as this was borne to him from the excellent glory: “This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased.”
Hewah Rangte ih heh choomjota nyia heh rangka raksiitta adoh seng eje angti, eno erah tokdi Rangka Elongthoon jiin nawa mih jeng heh jiinni emah ra taha adi emah liita, “Arah nga mongnook Sah miimi, heh suh ngah eroon elang!”
18 And this voice we heard borne from heaven when we were with him in the holy mount.
Arah jengta root ah rangmong nawa jeng raaha ra sengseng ih japchaat wanti, erah pootdi heh damdi esa kong ni angti.
19 And we have more sure the prophetic word, to which ye do well in taking heed, as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day-star arise in your hearts;
Erah thoidi khowah loong ih baatta tiitkhaap asuh ehanhan laalomli. Erah tiit ah boichaat anbah ese ang ah, tiimnge liidoh erah tiit ah Rangkhano rang maang phaakwu di weetook phaak took koh ah likhik nyia sen ten nah rangkhah di woliit phaak arah likhiik ih phaak ah.
20 knowing this first, that no prophecy of the Scripture cometh from private interpretation.
Enoothong, jaakhothoon sen ih arah jat jaatjaat etheng Rangteele ni banbaatta ah Khowah loong ih nengneng ih tadong baatta.
21 For prophecy never came by the will of man; but moved by the Holy Spirit, men spoke from God.
Tiimnge liidoh erah banbaat rumta tiitkhaap ah mabah uh mina tenthun nawa tah angka, erabah Rangte jiinawa ra taha eno erah baat tokdi mina loong ah Esa chiiala ih maak rumta.
