< 2 Peter 1 >

1 Symeon Peter, a servant and apostle of Jesus Christ, to those who have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of our God, and the Saviour Jesus Christ:
Jesu Kri ih tamna, patoeh ih kami maeto ah kaom, Simon Piter mah, aicae Sithaw hoi pahlongkung Jesu Kri toenghaih rang hoiah aicae baktiah atho kana tanghaih tawn kaminawk khaeah tarik ih capat:
2 Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord.
Sithaw hoi aicae Angraeng Jesu panoekhaih rang hoiah tahmenhaih hoi monghaih nangcae khaeah pung nasoe,
3 Seeing that his Divine power hath given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness;
Anih to a panoek o naah, a lensawkhaih hoi hoihaih rang hoiah aicae kawkkung, Sithaw panoekhaih hoiah a hing o moe, kho a sak o thai hanah, a thacakhaih hoiah hmuennawk boih to ang paek.
4 through which he hath given us exceedingly great and precious promises, that by these ye may become partakers of the Divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in the world through lust;
To baktih a lensawkhaih hoi hoihaih rang hoiah kalen parai, atho kana lokkamhaihnawk to aicae hanah paek boeh: to lokkamhaihnawk baktih toengah, kamhnong taksa koehhaih thung hoiah na loih o ueloe, Sithaw ih tuinuen katawn kami ah na om o tih.
5 even for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, and to virtue knowledge,
Tanghaih mah kahoih hmuen, kahoih hmuen mah panoekthaihaih,
6 and to knowledge self-control, and to self-control endurance, and to endurance godliness,
panoekthaihaih mah angsumthaihaih, angsumthaihaih mah palungsawkhaih, palungsawkhaih mah Sithaw panoekhaih;
7 and to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love.
Sithaw panoekhaih mah nawkamya baktiah tahmenhaih, nawkamya baktiah tahmenhaih mah nawkamya baktiah amlunghaih na tawnh o thai hanah tha pathok oh.
8 For if these things are in you and abound, they make you neither inactive nor unfruitful in gaining the full knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Hae hmuennawk boih kapop ah na tawnh o nahaeloe, aicae Angraeng Jesu Kri panoekhaih bangah, athaih kaom ai ah maw, to tih ai boeh loe athaih athai ai ah maw na omsak mak ai.
9 But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was cleansed from his old sins.
Toe hae hmuennawk tawn ai kami loe, hnukhaih tamcaek, mikmaeng ah oh, canghnii ih a zaehaihnawk loe pasaeh boih boeh, tiah kaom lok to pahnet ving kami ah ni oh.
10 Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure; for if ye do these things, ye will never fall.
To pongah nawkamyanawk, nangcae kawkhaih hoi qoihhaih to caksak hanah tha pathok oh: hae hmuennawk na sak o nahaeloe, natuek naah doeh nam timh o mak ai:
11 For in this way the entrance will be richly furnished you into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. (aiōnios g166)
aicae Angraeng hoi pahlongkung Jesu Kri ih dungzan kacak siangpahrang ah uk ih prae thungah akun thaihaih to kapop ah na hnu o tih. (aiōnios g166)
12 Wherefore I shall be careful always to remind you of these things, though ye know them, and are established in the truth that is with you.
To pongah vaihi thuih ih tamthanglok to na panoek o moe, loktang pongah kacakah nang doet o cadoeh, nangcae khaeah hae hmuennawk apet ai ah thuih han ka pahnet mak ai.
13 Yea, I think it right, as long as I am in this tabernacle, to stir you up by reminding you;
Ue, hae kahni im ah ka oh nathung, na panoek o thai hanah acoe paek han hoih, tiah poekhaih ka tawnh;
14 knowing that I must soon put off my tabernacle, even as our Lord Jesus Christ declared to me.
aicae Jesu Kri mah paek ih lok baktih toengah, hae kahni im hae akra ai ah ka suek sut han boeh, tito ka panoek.
15 Moreover I shall endeavor that at all times ye may be able, after my departure, to call these things to mind.
Ka duek pacoengah hae hmuennawk na panoek o thai poe hanah tha ka pathok han.
16 For we did not follow cunningly devised fables, when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but had been made eye-witnesses of his majesty.
Aicae Angraeng Jesu Kri anghumhaih hoi thacakhaih kawng kang thuih o naah, kaicae loe ruici baktiah thuih rumram ih loknawk to ka pazui o ai, a lensawkhaih hnu kami ah ni ka oh o.
17 For he received from God the Father honor and glory, when such a voice as this was borne to him from the excellent glory: “This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased.”
Anih loe lensawkhaih hoi pakoehhaih to Ampa Sithaw khae hoiah hnuk moe, Hae loe ka palung duek ih ka Capa ni, a nuiah kang hoe parai, tiah lensawk koek khae hoi ih lok to anih khaeah angzoh.
18 And this voice we heard borne from heaven when we were with him in the holy mount.
Van hoi kangzo to lok loe anih hoi nawnto kaciim mae nuiah ka oh o naah ka thaih o.
19 And we have more sure the prophetic word, to which ye do well in taking heed, as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day-star arise in your hearts;
To khue ai tahmaanawk mah taphong o ih lok pongah, kacak aep oephaih to a tawnh o; nihcae ih lok loe na palung khodai moe, akhawnbang ah kamdueng cakaeh tacawt karoek to khoving aanghaih paek thaih hmaiim baktiah oh, nihcae mah taphong o ih loknawk to kahoihah poek oh;
20 knowing this first, that no prophecy of the Scripture cometh from private interpretation.
hae hae panoek o hmaloe ah, Cabu thungah kaom tahmaanawk ih lok loe kawbaktih kami mah doeh thuih koehhaih to angmah koehah panoek thai ai.
21 For prophecy never came by the will of man; but moved by the Holy Spirit, men spoke from God.
Tipongah tih nahaeloe canghnii ah taphong o ih loknawk loe kami koehhaih baktiah thuih ih lok na ai ni: Kacai Muithla toksakhaih rang hoiah ni Sithaw ih kaciim kaminawk mah lok to taphong o.
