2 John 1
1 The elder to the elect Cyria, and to her children, whom I love in truth, and not I only, but also all that know the truth, —
O ancião, à senhora eleita, e a seus filhos, aos quais eu amo em verdade; e não somente eu, mas também todos os que têm conhecido a verdade;
Por causa da verdade que está em nós, e estará para sempre conosco. (aiōn g165)
3 Grace, mercy, peace shall be with you from God the Father, and from Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love.
Graça, misericórdia, [e] paz de Deus Pai, e do Senhor Jesus Cristo, o Filho do Pai, seja convosco em verdade e amor.
4 I rejoiced greatly, that I found some of thy children walking in truth, as we received commandment from the Father.
Muito me alegrei por eu ter encontrado [alguns] de teus filhos andando na verdade, assim como recebemos o mandamento do Pai.
5 And now I beseech thee, Cyria, not as writing to thee a new commandment, but that which we have had from the beginning, that we love one another.
E agora, senhora, eu te rogo, não como te escrevendo um novo mandamento, mas o que tivemos desde o princípio: que nos amemos uns aos outros.
6 And this is love, that we walk according to his commandments. This is the commandment, as ye have heard from the beginning, that ye should walk in it.
E este é o amor: que andemos segundo seus mandamentos. E este é o mandamento, como [já] ouvistes desde o princípio: que nele andeis.
7 For many deceivers went out into the world, who do not acknowledge Jesus Christ coming in the flesh; this is the deceiver and the antichrist.
Porque muitos enganadores têm surgido no mundo que não declaram que Jesus Cristo veio em carne. Este é o enganador e o anticristo.
8 Look to yourselves, that ye lose not the things which ye wrought, but receive a full reward.
Vigiai por vós mesmos, para que não percamos o que trabalhamos; mas sim que recebamos uma recompensa completa.
9 Whoever goeth beyond, and abideth not in the teaching of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the teaching, he hath both the Son and the Father.
Todo aquele que vai além e não continua na doutrina de Cristo não tem a Deus; quem continua na doutrina de Cristo tem tanto ao Pai quanto ao Filho.
10 If any one cometh to you, and bringeth not this teaching, receive him not into your house, and do not bid him good speed.
Se alguém vem a vós, e não traz esta doutrina, não recebais em [vossa] casa, nem o saudeis.
11 For he that biddeth him good speed taketh part in his evil deeds.
Porque quem o saúda compartilha com suas más obras.
12 Having many things to write to you, I would not write with paper and ink; but I hope to come to you, and to speak face to face, that our joy may be full.
Eu tenho muitas coisas para vos escrever, porém não quis [fazê-lo] com papel e tinta; mas espero vir até vós, e falar [convosco] face a face, para que a nossa alegria seja completa.
13 The children of thy elect sister salute thee.
Os filhos de tua irmã, a eleita, te saúdam. Amém.
