2 John 1
1 The elder to the elect Cyria, and to her children, whom I love in truth, and not I only, but also all that know the truth, —
Mina omdala, Ngilobela inkosikazi ekhethiweyo labantwana bayo, engibathandayo eqinisweni, kungayisimi kuphela, kodwa labo bonke abalaziyo iqiniso,
ngenxa yeqiniso elikhona kithi njalo elizakuba lathi kuze kube nininini: (aiōn g165)
3 Grace, mercy, peace shall be with you from God the Father, and from Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love.
Umusa, lesihawu kanye lokuthula okuvela kuNkulunkulu uBaba lakuJesu Khristu, iNdodana kaBaba, kuzakuba lathi ngeqiniso langothando.
4 I rejoiced greatly, that I found some of thy children walking in truth, as we received commandment from the Father.
Kungithokozise kakhulu ukufumana abanye babantwana benu bephila ngeqiniso njengokulaywa kwethu nguBaba.
5 And now I beseech thee, Cyria, not as writing to thee a new commandment, but that which we have had from the beginning, that we love one another.
Khathesi-ke, nkosikazi ethandekayo, ngikulobela umlayo omutsha, kodwa esasilawo kusukela ekuqaleni. Ngicela ukuba sithandane.
6 And this is love, that we walk according to his commandments. This is the commandment, as ye have heard from the beginning, that ye should walk in it.
Uthando yilolu: ukuba siphile ngokulalela imilayo yakhe. Njengoba uzwile kusukela ekuqaleni, umlayo wakhe yikuthi uphile impilo yothando.
7 For many deceivers went out into the world, who do not acknowledge Jesus Christ coming in the flesh; this is the deceiver and the antichrist.
Ngitsho lokhu ngoba abakhohlisi abanengi abangavumiyo ukuthi uJesu Khristu weza engumuntu sebekhona emhlabeni. Lowomuntu onjalo ungumkhohlisi lomphikuKhristu.
8 Look to yourselves, that ye lose not the things which ye wrought, but receive a full reward.
Qaphelani ukuba lingalahlekelwa yilokho elakusebenzelayo, kodwa ukuba liphiwe umvuzo ngokupheleleyo.
9 Whoever goeth beyond, and abideth not in the teaching of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the teaching, he hath both the Son and the Father.
Lowo odlulela phambili angabe esaqhubeka ngemfundiso kaKhristu kalaye uNkulunkulu; lowo oqhubekayo ngemfundiso uloBaba leNdodana.
10 If any one cometh to you, and bringeth not this teaching, receive him not into your house, and do not bid him good speed.
Nxa umuntu esiza kini engalethi imfundiso le, lingamngenisi ezindlini zenu njalo lingamamukeli.
11 For he that biddeth him good speed taketh part in his evil deeds.
Lowo omamukelayo uyahlanganyela emisebenzini yakhe emibi.
12 Having many things to write to you, I would not write with paper and ink; but I hope to come to you, and to speak face to face, that our joy may be full.
Ngilokunengi engingalilobela khona, kodwa angifuni ukusebenzisa iphepha le-inki. Kodwa ngithemba ukuthi ngizalethekelela ngikhulume lani sikhangelene ukuze intokozo yethu iphelele.
13 The children of thy elect sister salute thee.
Abantwana bakadadewenu okhethiweyo bayakubingelela.
