2 Corinthians 9
1 For concerning the ministering to the saints, it is superfluous for me to write to you.
Jumala rahva abistamisest ei peaks ma teile üldse kirjutama.
2 For I know your readiness of mind, of which I boast in behalf of you to the Macedonians, that Achaia was prepared a year ago; and your zeal stirred up the greater part of them.
Ma ju tean teie innukust abistada ja olen sellega kiidelnud makedoonlaste ees, et Ahhaia on juba mullu olnud valmis annetama. Teie agarus on sütitanud enamiku neist.
3 But I sent the brethren, that our boasting of you should not prove unfounded in this respect; that, as I said, ye may be prepared;
Aga ma saatsin need vennad, et meie kiitlemine teie üle selles küsimuses ei läheks tühja, vaid et te oleksite tõesti valmis, nagu ma olen rääkinud.
4 lest, should the Macedonians come with me, and find you unprepared, we (not to say ye) should be put to shame in respect to this confidence.
Sest kui mõni makedoonlane tuleks minuga kaasa ja leiaks, et te pole selleks valmis, siis jääksime oma usalduse pärast häbisse, rääkimata teist.
5 I thought it necessary therefore to exhort the brethren to go before to you, and make up beforehand your bounty, which was already announced, that the same might be ready, as a matter of bounty, and not of covetousness.
Seega pidasin ma vajalikuks julgustada vendi tulema teie juurde juba varem, et valmistada ette teie ammu lubatud tänuandi, et see oleks antud heldest südamest, mitte sunnitult.
6 But this there is to say: He that soweth sparingly, shall reap also sparingly; and he that soweth bountifully, shall reap also bountifully.
Pidage meeles: kes kasinalt külvab, see ka lõikab kasinalt; ja kes rohkesti külvab, see ka lõikab rohkesti.
7 Each one, as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity; for God loveth a cheerful giver.
Igaüks andku nii, nagu ta oma südames otsustab, mitte kahjutundes või sunnitult. Sest Jumal armastab rõõmsat andjat.
8 And God is able to make every blessing abound toward you, that ye, always having all sufficiency in everything, may abound to every good work;
Jumal on võimeline teid rikkalikult õnnistama, et teil oleks kõike küllaldaselt, mida vajate, ja kõike külluslikult iga hea teo tarvis,
9 as it is written: “He dispersed abroad, he gave to the poor; his righteousness remaineth for ever.” (aiōn g165)
nagu on kirjutatud: „Nad on jaganud oma annid vaestele, tema õigus kestab igavesti.“ (aiōn g165)
10 Now, he that ministereth seed to the sower, and bread for food, will supply and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness;
Ent Jumal, kes annab seemet külvajale ja leiba toiduks, teeb rohkeks teie külvi ja kasvatab suureks teie õiguse vilja.
11 while ye are enriched in everything to all liberality, which worketh out through us thanksgiving to God;
Tema teeb teid rikkaks igal viisil, et võiksite alati olla helded, ja meie läbi valmistab ta tänu Jumalale.
12 for the ministration of this service not only supplieth the wants of the saints, but also overfloweth through many thanksgivings to God;
Sest selle teenistuse vili mitte ainult ei rahulda Jumala rahva vajadusi, vaid toob ka rohkelt õnnistust selle läbi, et paljud tänavad Jumalat.
13 while by the proof afforded by this ministration they glorify God for your obedience to your profession in regard to the gospel of Christ, and for the liberality of your contribution in regard to them and in regard to all;
Selle teenistuse tõttu, mille kaudu olete ennast tõestanud, kiidavad nad Jumalat teie kuulekuse eest, mis kaasneb teie tunnistusega Kristuse evangeeliumist, ja helduse eest, mida jagate neile ja kõigile teistele.
14 while with supplication for you they long after you on account of the exceeding grace of God to you.
Ja teie eest palvetades nad igatsevad teie järele selle mõõtmatu armu pärast, mida Jumal on teile osutanud.
15 Thanks be to God for his unspeakable gift.
Tänu Jumalale tema kirjeldamatu kingituse eest!
