1 Timothy 4
1 Now the Spirit saith expressly, that in the latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits and teachings of demons,
ปวิตฺร อาตฺมา สฺปษฺฏมฺ อิทํ วากฺยํ วทติ จรมกาเล กติปยโลกา วหฺนินางฺกิตตฺวาตฺ
2 through the hypocrisy of speakers of lies, who bear a brand on their own conscience,
กโฐรมนสำ กาปฏฺยาทฺ อนฺฤตวาทินำ วิวาหนิเษธกานำ ภกฺษฺยวิเศษนิเษธกานาญฺจ
3 forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from food which God created to be received with thanksgiving, for those who believe and know the truth.
ภูตสฺวรูปาณำ ศิกฺษายำ ภฺรมกาตฺมนำ วาเกฺยษุ จ มนำสิ นิเวศฺย ธรฺมฺมาทฺ ภฺรํศิษฺยนฺเตฯ ตานิ ตุ ภกฺษฺยาณิ วิศฺวาสินำ สฺวีกฺฤตสตฺยธรฺมฺมาณาญฺจ ธนฺยวาทสหิตาย โภคาเยศฺวเรณ สสฺฤชิเรฯ
4 For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving;
ยต อีศฺวเรณ ยทฺยตฺ สฺฤษฺฏํ ตตฺ สรฺวฺวมฺ อุตฺตมํ ยทิ จ ธนฺยวาเทน ภุชฺยเต ตรฺหิ ตสฺย กิมปิ นาคฺราหฺยํ ภวติ,
5 for it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.
ยต อีศฺวรสฺย วาเกฺยน ปฺรารฺถนยา จ ตตฺ ปวิตฺรีภวติฯ
6 If thou lay these things before the brethren, thou wilt be a good minister of Christ Jesus, nourished in the words of the faith, and of the good teaching, with which thou art well acquainted.
เอตานิ วากฺยานิ ยทิ ตฺวํ ภฺราตฺฤนฺ ชฺญาปเยสฺตรฺหิ ยีศุขฺรีษฺฏโสฺยตฺตมฺ: ปริจารโก ภวิษฺยสิ โย วิศฺวาโส หิโตปเทศศฺจ ตฺวยา คฺฤหีตสฺตทียวาไกฺยราปฺยายิษฺยเส จฯ
7 But avoid the profane and old wives' fables; and exercise thyself unto godliness.
ยานฺยุปาขฺยานานิ ทุรฺภาวานิ วฺฤทฺธโยษิตาเมว โยคฺยานิ จ ตานิ ตฺวยา วิสฺฤชฺยนฺตามฺ อีศฺวรภกฺตเย ยตฺน: กฺริยตาญฺจฯ
8 For bodily exercise is profitable for little; but godliness is profitable for all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.
ยต: ศารีริโก ยตฺน: สฺวลฺปผลโท ภวติ กินฺตฺวีศฺวรภกฺติไรหิกปารตฺริกชีวนโย: ปฺรติชฺญายุกฺตา สตี สรฺวฺวตฺร ผลทา ภวติฯ
9 True is the saying, and worthy of all acceptance.
วากฺยเมตทฺ วิศฺวสนียํ สรฺไวฺว รฺคฺรหณียญฺจ วยญฺจ ตทรฺถเมว ศฺรามฺยาโม นินฺทำ ภุํชฺมเห จฯ
10 For to this end we both labor and suffer reproach, because we have placed our hope in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, especially of believers.
ยโต เหโต: สรฺวฺวมานวานำ วิเศษโต วิศฺวาสินำ ตฺราตา โย'มร อีศฺวรสฺตสฺมินฺ วยํ วิศฺวสาม: ฯ
11 These things command and teach.
ตฺวมฺ เอตานิ วากฺยานิ ปฺรจารย สมุปทิศ จฯ
12 Let no one despise thy youth, but become an example to the believers, in word, in behavior, in love, in faith, in purity.
อลฺปวยษฺกตฺวาตฺ เกนาปฺยวชฺเญโย น ภว กินฺตฺวาลาเปนาจรเณน เปฺรมฺนา สทาตฺมเตฺวน วิศฺวาเสน ศุจิเตฺวน จ วิศฺวาสินามฺ อาทรฺโศ ภวฯ
13 Till I come, give attention to reading, to exhortation, to teaching.
ยาวนฺนาหมฺ อาคมิษฺยามิ ตาวตฺ ตฺว ปาเฐ เจตยเน อุปเทเศ จ มโน นิธตฺสฺวฯ
14 Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery.
ปฺราจีนคณหสฺตารฺปณสหิเตน ภวิษฺยทฺวาเกฺยน ยทฺทานํ ตุภฺยํ วิศฺราณิตํ ตวานฺต: เสฺถ ตสฺมินฺ ทาเน ศิถิลมนา มา ภวฯ
15 Meditate on these things, give thyself wholly to them; that thy progress may be manifest to all.
เอเตษุ มโน นิเวศย, เอเตษุ วรฺตฺตสฺว, อิตฺถญฺจ สรฺวฺววิษเย ตว คุณวฺฤทฺธิ: ปฺรกาศตำฯ
16 Give heed to thyself, and to thy teaching; continue in them; for in doing this thou wilt save both thyself and them that hear thee.
สฺวสฺมินฺ อุปเทเศ จ สาวธาโน ภูตฺวาวติษฺฐสฺว ตตฺ กฺฤตฺวา ตฺวยาตฺมปริตฺราณํ โศฺรตฺฤณาญฺจ ปริตฺราณํ สาธยิษฺยเตฯ
