< 1 Timothy 2 >
1 I exhort then, first of all, that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men;
Acunakyase, akcüka, täsamnak, ktaiyünak, nghuinak ja jenak cun khyang avana phäha Pamhnama vei nami pawh vaia ning jah mtheh veng.
2 for kings, and all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and tranquil life in all godliness and propriety.
Sangpuxang He ja ana takie cun dim’ye lü akdima Pamhnam leisawng lü akdawa ami ngneisaknak vaia phäha ni.
3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour,
Ahin hin daw lü mi küikyan Bawi Pamhnam jesaki ni,
4 whose will is that all men should be saved, and come to the knowledge of the truth.
ani naw khyang naküt küikyannak yah lü ngthungtak ami ksing vai hlüei ve.
5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus,
Pamhnam mat ve lü Pamhnam ja nghngicim atänga jah lawpüiki khyang ta Khritaw Jesuh ni,
6 who gave himself a ransom for all; to which the testimony was to be borne in its own due times,
ani cun nghngicim avan jah thawngkhyah vaia lawki. Pamhnam naw khyang naküt akcün kdaw üng küikyannak a yah vaia ahin cun saksi ni,
7 whereunto I was appointed a herald and an apostle, (I speak the truth, I lie not, ) a teacher of the gentiles in faith and truth.
Acunakyase, kei cun khyangmjükcee jah mthei lü ngsäa kba ngthungtak ja jumeinaka mawng cun ka sang khaia a na tüih ni. Ka hlei am pyen ngü akcang ni ka pyen!
8 I desire, then, that the men pray in every place, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.
Sangcima hjawkhahnak üng kpamie, Pamhnam ümnakie naw ngcuhngkaihnak ja mlungsonak käh ta lü ami kut khana jah säng u lü ami ktaiyü vai hlüei veng.
9 In like manner also, that women, in seemly attire, adorn themselves with modesty and sobriety, not with braided hair, and gold, or pearls, or costly apparel;
Nghnumie pi aphu küi suisake, lusam pitpyangnak, xüi bilawhnak, suisak akdawa suiawi lü mlung mhnem lü käh nami nukhyap vai ka hlüeiki ni,
10 but, as becometh women professing godliness, with good works.
lüpi Pamhnam ka jumki tikia nghnumi cun naw akdaw bilo yah khai.
11 Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection.
Nghnumie naw käh khikheh lü mlung mhnemnak am ngthei u se.
12 But I suffer not the woman to teach, nor to have authority over the man, but to be in silence.
Nghnumie cun kpamiea khana ana ta lü jah mtheimkhawng khaia am täng veng, lüpi amimi cun hniphnawi yah khaie ni.
13 For Adam was first formed, then Eve.
Adam cun mhnün ma lü acun käna Evah a mhnün ni.
14 And Adam was not deceived; but the woman being deceived fell into transgression.
Adam cun hlawhlepnak am kham lü Nghnumi va hlawhlepnak kham lü Pamhnama thum pi lümkanki.
15 But she will be saved through child-bearing, if they continue in faith, and love, and holiness, with sobriety.
Nghnumi cun a caa phäh küikyannak yah khai, jummeinak, mhläkphyanak ja ngcimcaihnak cun mlung mhnemnak am a mtunei üng ni.
