< 1 Timothy 1 >

1 Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus, through the command of God, our Saviour, and Christ Jesus, our hope,
Paul, Pathien mi Sanminringpu Khrista Jisua ei sabeina chongpêka Khrista Jisua tîrton renga han,
2 to Timothy, my true child in the faith: Grace, mercy, peace, from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord.
Taksônna jâra ka nâipasal diktak, Timothy kôm: Pathien ei Pa le ei Pumapa Khrista Jisua han moroina, inriengmuna le inngêina nang pêk rese.
3 As I besought thee, when I set out for Macedonia, to remain still in Ephesus, that thou mightst charge certain persons not to teach other doctrine,
Macedonia rama ke se rang lâia Ephesus taka om ranga nang ke ngên anghan atûn khom nang ke ngên nôk. Mi senkhat chongrin dikloi ngei minchu an oma, male an mong ngêt rangin chongpêk ngei roh.
4 nor to give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which occasion disputes rather than promote God's dispensation which is in faith, [[so I do now.]]
Thurchimuruongei le suizoijât niloi richibulngei thurchi hah mâk rangin ril ngei roh; ma ngei han taksônna min rieta om, Pathien mintuo hih sin minsa nêkin inkhalnangei vai kêng an musuo ngâi.
5 Now the end of the commandment is love, out of a pure heart and a good conscience and faith unfeigned;
Ma chongpêkin a neinunkhîn tak hih chu mulungrîl inthieng, sielesarietna ânthâr le taksônna diktak renga hong suok ngâi lungkhamna hah an dôn theina rangin ani.
6 from which some swerving turned aside to vain babbling,
Mi senkhatngei chu mangei lampui renga hah an pêta, amo ngei injêknangei tieng lam an invâi zoi ani.
7 desiring to be teachers of the Law, understanding neither what they say, nor whereof they affirm.
An chongngei aninônchu ngamtaka an thurchi misîr nanâk luo hah riettheina dôn loiin Pathien balam minchupungei ni rang an nuom ngâi.
8 But we know that the Law is good, if a man use it lawfully,
Balam hih mîn ani rang anghan a mangin chu asa ngâi ti ei riet.
9 knowing this, that the Law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and unruly, for the ungodly and sinful, for the unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for man-slayers,
Mahi riettit rang ani, balamngei chu misa ngei ranga sin nimaka, hannirese, balampalpungei le mipuoloingei rang, pathien dônloingei le mi nunsiengei rang, sakhuotienga mi niloi ngei aninônchu rathatienga mi niloi ngei rang, pangei mo nûngei mo athatngei rang, mithatngei rang,
10 for whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for men-stealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to the sound teaching,
nunchan saloingei rang, pinkuohurngei rang, mimurukpungei rang, milak thoa an thurchi dikloi taka misîr ngei rang, chongrin dik minchuna aletienga ti le sintho murdi ngei ranga sin ani.
11 according to the glorious gospel of the blessed God which was committed to my trust.
Pathien roiinpuitak le satvura ompu renga Thurchi Sa phuong ranga, mi minkolpu renga ha minchuna hah man ani.
12 And I thank him who gave me strength, Christ Jesus our Lord, that he accounted me faithful, putting me into the ministry, t
Ki sinthona râtna ni pêkpu, Khrista Jisua ei Pumapa kôm han râisânchong ki misîr. Achuk angin mi bêa, male a sinthopu'n mi phun sikin a kôm râisânchong ki misîr sa ani,
13 though formerly I was a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and a doer of outrage; but I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly, in unbelief;
tiena han chu a rokôk minnapu le a nunuomlopu le a êropu lei ni khom ronga. Aniatachu taksônna ka la dôn mâna riet loia ko tho ani sikin Pathien'n inrieng mi la mu ani.
14 and the grace of our Lord was exceedingly abundant with faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.
Male ei Pumapa'n a moroina tamtak hah taksônna le lungkhamna Khrista Jisua leh inzoma eita hah ku chunga a bun zoi.
15 True is the saying, and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am chief.
Khrista'n mi nunsiengei sanminring rangin rammuola hin a juong ti hih iem a omin pomthei tatak ania: mangei lâia nunsie tak chu keima ki ni,
16 But for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me especially Christ Jesus might show forth all his long-suffering, as an example to those who should hereafter believe in him to life everlasting. (aiōnios g166)
hannirese hi sika hin ani, inrieng mi mua, Jisua Khrista'n mi nunsie tak keima hin a diertie murdi minlang a nuom ani, atûn renga kumtuong ringna man ranga ama la hong iem rang ngei minenna rangin. (aiōnios g166)
17 Now to the King eternal, the imperishable, invisible, only God, be honor and glory for ever and ever. Amen. (aiōn g165)
Kumtuong Rêngpa, thitheiloi le mutheiloi, Pathien kôm vai — han miritna le roiinpuina tuonsôt tuonsôtin om rese! Amen. (aiōn g165)
18 This charge I commit to thee, my child Timothy, in accordance with the directions of the prophets before given to thee, that thou mayst in them war the good warfare,
Ka nâi, Timothy, tiena nu chungroia chongphuong lei ti sai chongbâingei dungjûia hi chongpêk hi nang ki minkol ani. Indoina no doi minsa theina rangin hi chongbâingei hi râlrovongeiin mang inla,
19 having faith, and a good conscience, which some thrusting away made shipwreck concerning the faith;
male na taksônna le sielesarietna ânthâr hah dôn tit roh. Mi senkhat ngeiin an sielesarietna rangâi loiin an oma, an taksônna an siet ngâi.
20 of whom is Hymenaeus and Alexander, whom I delivered to Satan, that they might be taught not to blaspheme.
Ma ngei lâia han Hymenaeus le Alexander ngei hah an nia, Pathien rilsiet an bângna rangin; Soitan sinthotheina kuta pêkin dûk ko tho ngei ani.
