1 Corinthians 13
1 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not love, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.
मानौँ, म मानिसहरू र स्वर्गदूतहरूको भाषामा बोल्छु, तर मसँग प्रेम छैन भने म हल्ला मच्चाउने घण्टा र झ्याइँ-झ्याइँ गर्ने झ्याली मात्र हुन्छु ।
2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, and have not love, I am nothing.
मानौँ, मसँग अगमवाणी गर्ने वरदान छ र म लुकेका रहस्यहरू बुझ्न सक्छु र मसँग पहाडहरू हटाउन सक्ने सम्मको विश्वास छ, तर मसँग प्रेम छैन भने म केही पनि होइनँ ।
3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give up my body that I may be burned, and have not love, it profiteth me nothing.
र मानौँ, मसँग भएका सबै थोकहरू गरिबहरूलाई खुवाउनको लागि दिन्छु अनि मेरो शरीरलाई जलाउन दिन्छु, तर मसँग प्रेम छैन भने मलाई केही पनि फाइदा हुँदैन ।
4 Love suffereth long, is kind; love envieth not; love vaunteth not herself, is not puffed up,
प्रेम सहनशील र दयालु हुन्छ । प्रेमले डाह वा घमण्ड गर्दैन । यो अहङ्कारी हुँदैन ।
5 doth not behave herself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, maketh no account of an injury,
वा प्रेम रुखो हुँदैन । यसले आफ्नै स्वार्थ खोज्दैन । यो सजिलै रिसाउँदैन न त यसले खराबीको हिसाब राख्छ ।
6 rejoiceth not at iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth,
प्रेम अधार्मिकतामा खुसी हुँदैन । बरु, यो सत्यतामा रमाउँछ ।
7 beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.
प्रेमले सबै कुरा सहन्छ; सबै कुरामा विश्वास गर्छ; सबै कुरामा आत्मविश्वासी हुन्छ अनि सबै कुरामा स्थिर रहन्छ ।
8 Love never faileth; but whether there are prophesyings, they will come to an end; whether tongues, they will cease; whether knowledge, it will be done away.
प्रेमको कहिलै अन्त्य हुँदैन । अगमवाणीहरू बितेर जानेछन् । भाषाहरू बन्द हुनेछन् । अनि ज्ञान बितेर जानेछ ।
9 For we know in part, and we prophesy in part;
किनकि हामी थोरै जान्दछौँ र थोरै अगमवाणी बोल्छौँ ।
10 but when that which is perfect is come, that which is in part will be done away.
तर जब सिद्ध आउँछ अनि अपूर्ण कुरा बितेर जानेछ ।
11 When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I had the feelings of a child, I thought as a child; since I have become a man, I have put away the things of the child.
जब म बालक थिएँ बालकले जस्तै बोलेँ र बालकले जस्तै सोचेँ अनि बालकले जस्तै तर्कहरू गरेँ । जब वयस्क भएँ बालकका चालहरू छोडी दिएँ ।
12 For now we see in a mirror, obscurely; but then face to face; now I know in part, but then I shall fully know even as I also am fully known.
किनकि अहिले हामी ऐनामा अप्रत्यक्ष देख्छौँ, तर त्यस बेला आमने-सामने देख्नेछौँ । अहिले म थोरै जान्दछु, तर त्यस बेला म पूर्ण रूपमा जान्नेछु, जसरी म पूर्ण रूपमा जानिएको छु ।
13 And now there abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.
तर अब यी तिनवटा कुरा रहन्छन्: विश्वास, भविष्यको निश्चयता र प्रेम । तर यी सबैमा सर्वोत्तमचाहिँ प्रेम नै हो ।
