1 Corinthians 1
1 Paul, a called apostle of Christ Jesus, through the will of God, and Sosthenes the brother,
ದೇವರ ಚಿತ್ತಾನುಸಾರವಾಗಿ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತ ಯೇಸುವಿನಿಂದ ಅಪೊಸ್ತಲನಾಗಲು ಕರೆಯಲಾದ ಪೌಲನೆಂಬ ನಾನು ಮತ್ತು ನಮ್ಮ ಸಹೋದರ ಸೊಸ್ಥೆನನು,
2 to the church of God which is at Corinth, the sanctified in Christ Jesus, called, holy, with all that in every place call upon the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, their Lord and ours;
ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತ ಯೇಸುವಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರತ್ಯೇಕವಾಗಿ, ಪವಿತ್ರರಾಗುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಕರೆಹೊಂದಿದ ಕೊರಿಂಥದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ದೇವರ ಸಭೆಗೆ ನಮಗೆ ಕರ್ತ ಆಗಿರುವ ಯೇಸುಕ್ರಿಸ್ತರ ನಾಮದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಶ್ವಾಸವಿಟ್ಟ ಸಕಲ ಜನರಿಗೂ ಬರೆಯುವ ಪತ್ರ:
3 grace be to you, and peace, from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.
ನಮ್ಮ ತಂದೆಯಾದ ದೇವರಿಂದಲೂ ನಮಗೆ ಕರ್ತ ಆಗಿರುವ ಯೇಸು ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತರಿಂದಲೂ ನಿಮಗೆ ಕೃಪೆಯೂ ಸಮಾಧಾನವೂ ಉಂಟಾಗಲಿ.
4 I ever thank my God for you, on account of the grace of God bestowed upon you in Christ Jesus;
ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತ ಯೇಸುವಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಮಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿರುವ ದೇವರ ಕೃಪೆಯ ಕಾರಣಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ನಾನು ಯಾವಾಗಲೂ ನಿಮಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಕೃತಜ್ಞತೆ ಹೇಳುವವನಾಗಿದ್ದೇನೆ.
5 that in him ye were enriched in everything, in all utterance, and all knowledge,
ನೀವು ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತ ಯೇಸುವಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಜ್ಞಾನದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಮಾತುಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಸಮೃದ್ಧಿಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದ್ದೀರಿ.
6 as the testimony of Christ was established among you;
ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ದೇವರು ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತ ಯೇಸುವಿನ ವಿಷಯವಾದ ನಮ್ಮ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಯು ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ದೃಢವಾಯಿತು.
7 so that ye come behind in no gift, while waiting for the manifestation of our Lord Jesus Christ;
ಹೀಗಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ನಮ್ಮ ಪ್ರಭುವಾದ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತ ಯೇಸುವಿನ ಪುನರಾಗಮನವನ್ನು ಆತುರದಿಂದ ಎದುರು ನೋಡುವವರಾದ ನಿಮಗೆ, ಯಾವುದೇ ಆತ್ಮಿಕ ವರಗಳ ಕೊರತೆಯು ಇರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
8 who will also make you steadfast to the end, so that ye may be without blame in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.
ನಮಗೆ ಕರ್ತ ಆಗಿರುವ ಯೇಸುಕ್ರಿಸ್ತರ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ನೀವು ನಿರ್ದೋಷಿಗಳಾಗಿರುವಂತೆ ಅವರು ಕೊನೆಯತನಕವೂ ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಬಲಪಡಿಸಿ ಕಾಯುವರು.
9 God is faithful, by whom ye were called into the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.
ತಮ್ಮ ಪುತ್ರರೂ ನಮ್ಮ ಕರ್ತ ದೇವರೂ ಆಗಿರುವ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತ ಯೇಸುವಿನ ಅನ್ಯೋನ್ಯತೆಗೆ ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಕರೆದ ದೇವರು ಪ್ರಾಮಾಣಿಕರು.
10 But I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you, but that ye be perfectly united in the same mind and in the same judgment.
ಪ್ರಿಯರೇ, ನೀವೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಒಂದೇ ಅಭಿಪ್ರಾಯವುಳ್ಳವರಾಗಿದ್ದು, ನಿಮ್ಮೊಳಗೆ ಗುಂಪುಗಾರಿಕೆ, ಪಕ್ಷಬೇಧಗಳಿರದೆ, ಒಂದೇ ಮನಸ್ಸು ಮತ್ತು ಒಂದೇ ಆಲೋಚನೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪರಿಪೂರ್ಣವಾದ ಅನ್ಯೋನ್ಯತೆಯಲ್ಲಿರಬೇಕೆಂದು ನಾನು ಕರ್ತ ಆಗಿರುವ ಯೇಸುಕ್ರಿಸ್ತರ ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಬೇಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತೇನೆ.
11 For I have been informed concerning you, my brethren, by those of the family of Chloe, that there are dissensions among you.
ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರಿಯರೇ, ಖ್ಲೋಯೆಯ ಮನೆಯ ಕೆಲವರು, ನಿಮ್ಮೊಳಗೆ ಜಗಳಗಳುಂಟೆಂದು ನನಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.
12 What I mean is this, that each of you saith, I am of Paul; and I of Apollos; and I of Cephas; and I of Christ.
ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನು, “ನಾನು ಪೌಲನವನು,” ಇನ್ನೊಬ್ಬನು, “ನಾನು ಅಪೊಲ್ಲೋಸನವನು,” ಬೇರೊಬ್ಬನು, “ನಾನು ಕೇಫನವನು,” ಇನ್ನೊಬ್ಬನು, “ನಾನು ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನವನು,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುತ್ತೀರಂತೆ.
13 Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Or were ye baptized the name of Paul?
ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತ ಯೇಸು ವಿಭಾಗವಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೋ? ಪೌಲನು ನಿಮಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಶಿಲುಬೆಗೆ ಹಾಕಿಸಿಕೊಂಡನೋ? ಪೌಲನ ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನೀವು ದೀಕ್ಷಾಸ್ನಾನ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡಿರುವಿರೋ?
14 I thank God that I baptized none of you, but Crispus and Gaius;
ಕ್ರಿಸ್ಪನನ್ನು ಮತ್ತು ಗಾಯನನ್ನು ಹೊರತು ಬೇರೆ ಯಾರಿಗೂ ನಾನು ದೀಕ್ಷಾಸ್ನಾನ ಕೊಡಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಅದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ನಾನು ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಸ್ತೋತ್ರ ಹೇಳುತ್ತೇನೆ.
15 that no one may say that ye were baptized into my name.
ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ನನ್ನ ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ದೀಕ್ಷಾಸ್ನಾನ ಹೊಂದಿದ್ದಾರೆಂದು ಯಾರೂ ಹೇಳಬಾರದು.
16 And I baptized also the household of Stephanas; I am not aware that I baptized any one besides.
ಹೌದು, ಸ್ತೆಫನನ ಮನೆಯವರಿಗೂ ನಾನು ದೀಕ್ಷಾಸ್ನಾನ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ಇದನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಯಾರಿಗೂ ನಾನು ದೀಕ್ಷಾಸ್ನಾನ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದು ನನ್ನ ಜ್ಞಾಪಕದಲ್ಲಿಲ್ಲ.
17 For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel; not with wisdom of speech, lest the cross of Christ should be made of no effect.
ದೀಕ್ಷಾಸ್ನಾನ ಕೊಡುವುದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತ ಯೇಸು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸದೆ ಸುವಾರ್ತೆಯನ್ನು ಸಾರುವುದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಸುವಾರ್ತೆ ಸಾರುವಂಥದ್ದು ವಾಕ್ಚಾತುರ್ಯದಿಂದಲ್ಲ. ಹಾಗೆ ಸಾರುತ್ತಿದ್ದರೆ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತ ಯೇಸುವಿನ ಶಿಲುಬೆಯ ಶಕ್ತಿಯು ಬರಿದಾಗಿಬಿಡುತಿತ್ತು.
18 For the preaching of the cross is to those who are perishing, foolishness, but to us who are being saved, it is the power of God.
ಶಿಲುಬೆಯ ಸಂದೇಶವು ವಿನಾಶದ ಮಾರ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿರುವವರಿಗೆ ಬುದ್ದಿಹೀನವಾಗಿದೆ. ರಕ್ಷಣೆ ಹೊಂದುತ್ತಿರುವ ನಮಗಾದರೋ, ಅದು ದೇವರ ಶಕ್ತಿಯಾಗಿದೆ.
19 For it is written: “I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nought the discernment of the discerning.”
ಏಕೆಂದರೆ, ಪವಿತ್ರ ವೇದದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೀಗೆ ಬರೆದಿದೆ: “ಜ್ಞಾನಿಗಳ ಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು ನಾನು ನಾಶಮಾಡುವೆನು; ವಿವೇಕಿಗಳ ವಿವೇಕವನ್ನು ನಾನು ನಿರರ್ಥಕ ಮಾಡುವೆನು.”
20 Where is the wise man? Where the scribe? Where the disputer of this world? Hath not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? (aiōn g165)
ಜ್ಞಾನಿಯಾದ ಮನುಷ್ಯನೆಲ್ಲಿ? ಪಂಡಿತನು ಎಲ್ಲಿ? ಈ ಕಾಲದ ತತ್ವಜ್ಞಾನಿ ಎಲ್ಲಿ? ಈ ಲೋಕದ ಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು ದೇವರು ಬುದ್ದಿಹೀನತೆಯನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರಲ್ಲವೇ? (aiōn g165)
21 For since, in the wisdom of God, the world by its wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save those who believe;
ಈ ಪ್ರಪಂಚವು ತನ್ನ ಜ್ಞಾನದ ಮೂಲಕ ದೇವರನ್ನು ಅರಿತುಕೊಳ್ಳಲಿಲ್ಲ; ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ದೇವರ ಜ್ಞಾನದಿಂದ, ನಂಬಿದವರನ್ನು ಪ್ರಸಂಗದ ಬುದ್ದಿಹೀನತೆಯಿಂದ ರಕ್ಷಿಸುವುದು ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಮೆಚ್ಚುಗೆಯಾಯಿತು.
22 since even Jews ask for signs, and the Greeks seek for wisdom;
ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರು ಆಶ್ಚರ್ಯಕರವಾದ ಗುರುತುಗಳನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಗ್ರೀಕರು ಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕುತ್ತಾರೆ.
23 but we preach Christ crucified, to Jews a stumbling-block, and to gentiles foolishness,
ನಾವಾದರೋ ಶಿಲುಬೆಗೆ ಹಾಕಲಾದ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತ ಯೇಸುವನ್ನೇ ಪ್ರಸಂಗಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇವೆ. ಇದು ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರಿಗೆ ವಿಘ್ನವೂ ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರಲ್ಲದವರಿಗೆ ಬುದ್ದಿಹೀನತೆಯಾಗಿದೆ.
24 but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.
ಆದರೆ ದೇವರಿಂದ ರಕ್ಷಣೆಗೆ ಕರೆಹೊಂದಿದ ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರಿಗಾಗಲಿ, ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರಲ್ಲದವರಿಗಾಗಲಿ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತ ಯೇಸು ದೇವರ ಶಕ್ತಿಯೂ ದೇವರ ಜ್ಞಾನವೂ ಆಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
25 Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.
ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ದೇವರ ಬುದ್ಧಿಹೀನತೆ ಮನುಷ್ಯರ ಜ್ಞಾನಕ್ಕಿಂತಲೂ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠವಾಗಿದೆ. ದೇವರ ಬಲಹೀನತೆ ಮನುಷ್ಯರ ಬಲಕ್ಕಿಂತಲೂ ಬಲವುಳ್ಳದ್ದಾಗಿದೆ.
26 For consider, brethren, who ye are that have been called; not many wise men after the fashion of the world, not many mighty, not many noble;
ಪ್ರಿಯರೇ, ನೀವು ದೇವರ ಕರೆಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದಾಗ ಏನಾಗಿದ್ದಿರೆಂಬುದನ್ನು ಆಲೋಚಿಸಿರಿ. ನಿಮ್ಮೊಳಗೆ ಲೋಕಾನುಸಾರವಾಗಿ ಜ್ಞಾನಿಗಳೂ ಅನೇಕರಿಲ್ಲ, ಪ್ರಭಾವಿಗಳೂ ಅನೇಕರಿಲ್ಲ, ಕುಲೀನರೂ ಅನೇಕರಿಲ್ಲ.
27 but the foolish things of the world did God choose, to put to shame the wise; and the weak things of the world did God choose, to put to shame the things which are strong;
ದೇವರು ಜ್ಞಾನಿಗಳನ್ನು ನಾಚಿಕೆಪಡಿಸುವಂತೆ, ಈ ಲೋಕದ ಬುದ್ಧಿಹೀನರನ್ನು ಆರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ದೇವರು ಬಲಿಷ್ಠರನ್ನು ನಾಚಿಕೆಪಡಿಸುವಂತೆ ಈ ಲೋಕದ ಬಲಹೀನರನ್ನು ಆರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
28 and the mean things of the world, and the things which are despised, did God choose, the things which are not, to bring to nought things that are;
ದೇವರು ಈ ಲೋಕದ ಗಣ್ಯರನ್ನು ಏನೂ ಇಲ್ಲದವರನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡುವುದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಗಣನೆಗೆ ಬಾರದವರನ್ನೂ, ಹೀನೈಸಲಾದವರನ್ನೂ ಕೀಳಾದವರನ್ನೂ, ಆರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
29 that no flesh might glory before God.
ಹೀಗಿರಲು ದೇವರ ಮುಂದೆ ಹೊಗಳಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಯಾರಿಗೂ ಆಸ್ಪದವಿರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
30 But from him it is that ye are in Christ Jesus, who from God was made to us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption;
ನೀವು ದೇವರಿಂದಲೇ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತ ಯೇಸುವಿನಲ್ಲಿದ್ದೀರಿ. ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತ ಯೇಸು ನಮಗೆ ದೇವರ ಕಡೆಯಿಂದ ಜ್ಞಾನವೂ ನೀತಿಯೂ ಶುದ್ಧೀಕರಣವೂ ವಿಮೋಚನೆಯೂ ಆಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
31 that, according as it is written, “He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.”
ಪವಿತ್ರ ವೇದದಲ್ಲಿ ಬರೆದಿರುವಂತೆ, “ಹೆಚ್ಚಳ ಪಡುವವನು ಕರ್ತ ದೇವರಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಹೆಚ್ಚಳ ಪಡಲಿ.”
