Zechariah 8

1 The word of YHWH of hosts came to me.

Y fue palabra de Jehová de los ejércitos, diciendo:

2 Thus says YHWH of hosts: "I am jealous for Zion with great jealousy, and I am jealous for her with great wrath."

Así dijo Jehová de los ejércitos: Yo zelé a Sión de gran zelo, y con grande ira la zelé.

3 Thus says YHWH: "I have returned to Zion, and will dwell in the midst of Jerusalem. Jerusalem shall be called 'The City of Truth;' and the mountain of YHWH of hosts, 'The Holy Mountain.'"

Así dijo Jehová: Yo torné a Sión, y moraré en medio de Jerusalem; y Jerusalem se llamará ciudad de verdad, y el monte de Jehová de los ejércitos, monte de santidad.

4 Thus says YHWH of hosts: "Old men and old women will again dwell in the streets of Jerusalem, every man with his staff in his hand for very age.

Así dijo Jehová de los ejércitos: Aun han de morar viejos y viejas en las plazas de Jerusalem; y cada cual tendrá bordón en su mano por la multitud de los días.

5 The streets of the city will be full of boys and girls playing in its streets."

Y las calles de la ciudad serán llenas de muchachos y muchachas, que jugarán en sus calles.

6 Thus says YHWH of hosts: "If it is marvelous in the eyes of the remnant of this people in those days, should it also be marvelous in my eyes?" says YHWH of hosts.

Así dice Jehová de los ejércitos: Si esto parecerá dificultoso delante de los ojos del resto de este pueblo en aquellos días, también será dificultoso delante de mis ojos, dijo Jehová de los ejércitos.

7 Thus says YHWH of hosts: "Look, I will save my people from the east country, and from the west country;

Así dijo Jehová de los ejércitos: He aquí que yo salvo mi pueblo de la tierra del oriente, y de la tierra donde se pone el sol.

8 and I will bring them, and they will dwell in the midst of Jerusalem; and they will be my people, and I will be their God, in truth and in righteousness."

Y traerlos he, y habitarán en medio de Jerusalem, y serme han por pueblo, y yo seré a ellos por Dios con verdad y con justicia.

9 Thus says YHWH of hosts: "Let your hands be strong, you who hear in these days these words from the mouth of the prophets who were in the day that the foundation of the house of YHWH of hosts was laid, even the temple, that it might be built.

Así dijo Jehová de los ejércitos: Esfuércense vuestras manos de vosotros, los que oís en estos días estas palabras de la boca de los profetas, desde el día que se echó el cimiento a la casa de Jehová de los ejércitos, para edificar el templo.

10 For before those days there was no wages for man, nor any wages for an animal; neither was there any peace to him who went out or came in, because of the adversary. For I set all men everyone against his neighbor.

Porque antes de estos días no ha habido paga de hombre, ni paga de bestia, ni hubo paz alguna para entrante ni para saliente, a causa de la angustia; porque yo incité todos los hombres, cada cual contra su compañero.

11 But now I will not be to the remnant of this people as in the former days," says YHWH of hosts.

Mas ahora no haré con el resto de este pueblo como en aquellos días pasados, dijo Jehová de los ejércitos.

12 "For the seed of peace and the vine will yield its fruit, and the ground will give its increase, and the heavens will give their dew; and I will cause the remnant of this people to inherit all these things.

Porque la simiente de la paz quedará: la vid dará su fruto, y la tierra dará su fruto, y los cielos darán su rocío; y haré que el resto de este pueblo posea todo esto.

13 It shall come to pass that, as you were a curse among the nations, house of Judah and house of Israel, so will I save you, and you shall be a blessing. Do not be afraid. Let your hands be strong."

Y será que como fuisteis maldición entre las gentes, o! casa de Judá, y casa de Israel, así os salvaré, para que seáis bendición. No temáis, mas esfuércense vuestras manos.

14 For thus says YHWH of hosts: "As I thought to do evil to you, when your fathers provoked me to wrath," says YHWH of hosts, "and I did not repent;

Porque así dijo Jehová de los ejércitos: Como pensé haceros mal, cuando vuestros padres me provocaron a ira, dijo Jehová de los ejércitos, y no me arrepentí;

15 so again have I thought in these days to do good to Jerusalem and to the house of Judah. Do not be afraid.

Así tornando he pensado de hacer bien a Jerusalem, y a la casa de Judá en estos días: no temáis.

16 These are the things that you shall do: speak every man the truth with his neighbor. Execute the judgment of truth and peace in your gates,

Estas son las cosas que haréis: Hablád verdad cada cual con su prójimo; juzgád en vuestras puertas verdad y juicio de paz:

17 and let none of you devise evil in your hearts against his neighbor, and love no false oath: for all these are things that I hate," says YHWH.

Y ninguno de vosotros piense mal en su corazón contra su prójimo; ni améis juramento falso; porque todas estas cosas son las que yo aborrezco, dijo Jehová,

18 The word of YHWH of hosts came to me.

Y fue palabra de Jehová de los ejércitos a mí, diciendo:

19 Thus says YHWH of hosts: "The fasts of the fourth fifth, seventh, and tenth months shall be for the house of Judah joy and gladness, and cheerful feasts. Therefore love truth and peace."

Así dijo Jehová de los ejércitos: El ayuno del cuarto mes, y el ayuno del quinto, y el ayuno del séptimo, y el ayuno del décimo se tornará a la casa de Judá en gozo, y en alegría, y en solemnidades festivas. Amád pues verdad, y paz.

20 Thus says YHWH of hosts: "Many peoples and the inhabitants of many cities will yet come;

Así dijo Jehová de los ejércitos: Aun vendrán pueblos, y moradores de muchas ciudades.

21 and the inhabitants of one shall go to another, saying, 'Let us go speedily to entreat the favor of YHWH, and to seek YHWH of hosts. I will go also.'

Y vendrán los moradores de la una a la otra, y dirán: Vamos para orar a la faz de Jehová, y busquemos a Jehová de los ejércitos. Yo también iré.

22 Yes, many peoples and strong nations will come to seek YHWH of hosts in Jerusalem, and to entreat the favor of YHWH."

Y vendrán muchos pueblos, y fuertes naciones a buscar a Jehová de los ejércitos en Jerusalem, y a orar a la faz de Jehová.

23 Thus says YHWH of hosts: "In those days, ten men will take hold, out of all the languages of the nations, they will take hold of the skirt of him who is a Jew, saying, 'We will go with you, for we have heard that God is with you.'"

Así dijo Jehová de los ejércitos: En aquellos días acontecerá que diez varones de todas las lenguas de las naciones trabarán de la halda del varón Judío, diciendo: Vamos con vosotros, porque hemos oído, que Dios es con vosotros.
