< Ruth 1 >

1 It happened in the days when the judges judged, that there was a famine in the land. A certain man of Bethlehem Judah went to sojourn in the country of Moab, he, and his wife, and his two sons.
Korapa'ma keaga refakohu vahe'mo'za (jasi) mopa kva hu'naza knafi, tusi'a zamagate'za Juda mopare fore higeno, mago nera Betlehemu, Juda mopareti ne'mo, osi'agna Moapu umaniku nenarone, tare ne'ane zamavareno vu'ne.
2 The name of the man was Elimelech, and the name of his wife Naomi, and the name of his two sons Mahlon and Kilion, Ephrathites of Bethlehem Judah. They came into the country of Moab, and continued there.
Ana ne'mofo agi'a, Elimeleki'e, nenaro agi'a Naomi'e, hagi tare ne'amokizni znagi'a, Maloni'ene, Kilionike. Efrata naga nofipintira Betlehemu Juda mopafinti Moab mopare e'za emani'naze.
3 Elimelech, Naomi's husband, died; and she was left, and her two sons.
Ana mopare mani'nageno, Naomi neve, Elimeleki'a frigeno, Naomi'a tare ne'mofavre'ane zamagraku mani'naze.
4 And they took for themselves wives from the women of Moab; the name of the one was Orpah, and the name of the other Ruth: and they lived there about ten years.
Mago'mofo agi'a, Opa'e, hanki mago'mofo agi'a Ruti'e. Ana nehu'za 10i'a Zagegafu naza anantega mani'naze.
5 Mahlon and Kilion both died, and the woman was bereaved of her two children and of her husband.
Anante mani'nageno Naomina, tare mofavre'a Maloni'ene, Kilionikea anazanke hu'ne fri'na'e. Ana hzageno, Naomina, tare mofavre'ane, neve'ene, fri'zageno, zavi neteno agraku mani'ne!
6 Then she arose with her daughters-in-law, that she might return from the country of Moab: for she had heard in the country of Moab how that YHWH had visited his people in giving them bread.
Moapuma mani'neno antahiama Ramo'a asomu huntegeno, agri'a vahepina ne'zamo'a avitema higeno'a, Naomi'a mopa'are vunaku retro nehigeno, nenoferokea, agrane vunaku tro hu'na'e.
7 She went forth out of the place where she was, and her two daughters-in-law with her; and they went on the way to return to the land of Judah.
Nenofero a'trene, agrane (Naomi) nemaniza mopa atre'za vu'za Judama nevaza kante uhanati'naze.
8 Naomi said to her two daughters-in-law, "Go, return each of you to her mother's house. May YHWH deal kindly with you, as you have dealt with the dead, and with me.
Anante Naomi'a tarega nenoferokiznigu anage hu'ne, Taregamotna'a kama antahi'o, antatani'amofo nontega vi'o. Fri'naza nagate'ene, nagrite'enema tanagrama ha'a avu'ava zantera, Anumzamo'a tanagrira ana huno knare avu'ava huranantesie.
9 YHWH grant you that you may find rest, each of you in the house of her husband." Then she kissed them, and they lifted up their voice, and wept.

10 They said to her, "No, but we will return with you to your people."

11 Naomi said, "Go back, my daughters. Why do you want to go with me? Do I still have sons in my womb, that they may be your husbands?
Hu'neanagi, Naomi'a kenonazni'a anage hu'ne, Kuma tani'arega etetna vi'o, mofa'nimotna'a, Judama nagranema vana'a zamofona knare kegafa omane'ne. Nagra knare osu'noanki'na, mofavrea kasentesnugeno, ana mofavremo'a nernave zana osugahie.
12 Go back, my daughters, go your way; for I am too old to have a husband. If I should say, 'I have hope,' if I should even have a husband tonight, and should also bear sons;

13 would you then wait until they were grown? Would you then refrain from having husbands? No, my daughters, for it grieves me much for your sakes, for the hand of YHWH has gone out against me."
tanagra knare zanavega ante'nesanke'ne, arave huga kantera ra hate'sino? Tanagra knare vea e'oritna ana kna'afina amnea mani'tesino? O'e, mofa'trenimotna'e, nagranena ovu tfaza hugaha'e.
14 They lifted up their voice, and wept again: and Orpah kissed her mother-in-law and returned to her people, but Ruth clung to her.
15 She said, "Look, your sister-in-law has gone back to her people, and to her god. Follow your sister-in-law.
Naomi'a anage hu'ne, Ko, neganunkna'a, vahe'ane, anumzama'a nehirega eteno nevie. Neganunkna amage antenka kumaka'arega vuo, huno asmi'ne.
16 Ruth said, "Do not urge me to leave you, and to return from following after you, for where you go, I will go; and where you stay, I will stay; your people shall be my people, and your God my God;
Hianagi Ruti'a ke'arera amanage hu'ne, Natrenka vuo hunka kagra tutura huonanto. Na'ankure, kagrama inantega vusanana, anantega nagra vugahue. Inante manisanana, nagra anante umanigahu'e. Kagri vahe'mo'za, nagri vahe manigahaze. Kagri Anumzamo'a, nagri Anumza segahie.

18 When she saw that she was steadfastly minded to go with her, she left off speaking to her.
Naomi'ma kegeno Ruti'ma hampo'natino agrane vugahue'ma higeno'a, tutu'ma huno'ma huma nenteretira anante atre'ne.
19 So they two went until they came to Bethlehem. It happened, when they had come to Bethlehem, that all the city was moved about them, and they asked, "Is this Naomi?"
20 She said to them, "Do not call me Naomi. Call me Marah; for Shaddai has dealt very bitterly with me.
Hianagi, Naomi'a ke nonazmi huno, Naomi'e (knaremo'e) hutma nagia ohetma, Mara'e (aka he'ne) huta nagia aheho, na'ankure Miko'zante Kva Hu'nea Hanave Anumzamo (Sovren) knare'zana huonante'ne.
21 I went out full, and YHWH has brought me home again empty. Why do you call me Naomi, since YHWH has testified against me, and Shaddai has afflicted me?"

22 So Naomi returned, and Ruth the Moabitess, her daughter-in-law, with her, who returned out of the country of Moab: and they came to Bethlehem at the beginning of barley harvest.
E'ina higeno, Naomi'a nenofero Moabuti a' Ruti'e.
