< Romans 15 >
1 Now we who are strong ought to bear the weaknesses of the weak, and not to please ourselves.
ⲁ̅ϣϣⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲣⲟⲛ ⲁⲛⲟⲛ ⲛⲉⲧⲉ ⲟⲩⲛϭⲟⲙ ⲙⲙⲟⲟⲩ ⲉⲧⲣⲉⲛϥⲓ ϩⲁⲙⲙⲛⲧϭⲱⲃ ⲛⲛⲉⲧⲉ ⲙⲛϭⲟⲙ ⲙⲙⲟⲟⲩ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲧⲛⲧⲙⲁⲣⲉⲥⲕⲉ ⲛⲁⲛ ⲟⲩⲁⲁⲛ
2 Let each one of us please his neighbor for that which is good, to be building him up.
ⲃ̅ⲡⲟⲩⲁ ⲡⲟⲩⲁ ⲙⲙⲟⲛ ⲙⲁⲣⲉϥⲁⲣⲉⲥⲕⲉ ⲙⲡⲉⲑⲓⲧⲟⲩⲱϥ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲡⲁⲅⲁⲑⲟⲛ ⲛⲛⲁϩⲣⲙ ⲡⲕⲱⲧ
3 For even Christ did not please himself. But, as it is written, "The insults of those who insult you fell on me."
ⲅ̅ⲕⲁⲓ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲛⲧⲁⲡⲉⲭⲥ ⲣⲁⲛⲁϥ ⲁⲛ ⲙⲙⲓⲛ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲕⲁⲧⲁ ⲑⲉ ⲉⲧⲥⲏϩ ϫⲉ ⲁⲛⲛⲟϭⲛⲉϭ ⲛⲛⲉⲧⲛⲟϭⲛⲉϭ ⲙⲙⲟⲕ ϩⲉ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲉϫⲱⲓ
4 For whatever things were written before were written for our instruction, that through patience and through encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.
ⲇ̅ⲛⲉⲛⲧⲁⲩⲥϩⲁⲓⲥⲟⲩ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲛⲧⲁⲩⲥϩⲁⲓⲥⲟⲩ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ⲉⲧⲉⲛⲥⲃⲱ ϫⲉⲕⲁⲥ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲟⲟⲧⲥ ⲛⲑⲩⲡⲟⲙⲟⲛⲏ ⲙⲛ ⲡⲥⲟⲡⲥ ⲛⲛⲉⲅⲣⲁⲫⲏ ⲉⲛⲉϫⲡⲟ ⲛⲁⲛ ⲛⲑⲉⲗⲡⲓⲥ
5 Now the God of patience and of encouragement grant you to be of the same mind one with another according to Christ Jesus,
ⲉ̅ⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲑⲩⲡⲟⲙⲟⲛⲏ ⲙⲛ ⲡⲥⲟⲡⲥ ⲉϥⲉϯ ⲛⲏⲧⲛ ⲉⲙⲉⲉⲩⲉ ⲉⲟⲩⲁ ⲛⲟⲩⲱⲧ ϩⲛ ⲛⲉⲧⲛⲉⲣⲏⲩ ⲕⲁⲧⲁ ⲡⲉⲭⲥ ⲓⲏⲥ
6 that with one accord you may with one mouth glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
ⲋ̅ϫⲉⲕⲁⲥ ϩⲓⲟⲩⲥⲟⲡ ϩⲛ ⲟⲩⲧⲁⲡⲣⲟ ⲛⲟⲩⲱⲧ ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛⲉϯ ⲉⲟⲟⲩ ⲙⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲡⲓⲱⲧ ⲙⲡⲉⲛϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲓⲏⲥ ⲡⲉⲭⲥ
7 Therefore accept one another, even as Christ also accepted you, to the glory of God.
ⲍ̅ⲉⲧⲃⲉ ⲡⲁⲓ ϣⲉⲡ ⲛⲉⲧⲛⲉⲣⲏⲩ ⲉⲣⲱⲧⲛ ⲕⲁⲧⲁ ⲑⲉ ⲉⲛⲧⲁ ⲡⲉⲭⲥ ϣⲟⲡⲛ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲉⲡⲉⲟⲟⲩ ⲙⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ
8 Now I say that Christ has been made a servant of the circumcision for the truth of God, that he might confirm the promises given to the fathers,
ⲏ̅ϯϫⲱ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲛⲧⲁⲡⲉⲭⲥ ⲣⲇⲓⲁⲕⲟⲛⲟⲥ ⲙⲡⲥⲃⲃⲉ ϩⲁⲧⲙⲉ ⲙⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲉⲡⲧⲁϫⲣⲉⲛⲉⲣⲏⲧ ⲛⲛⲉⲓⲟⲧⲉ
9 and that the non-Jews might glorify God for his mercy. As it is written, "therefore I will give praise to you among the non-Jews, and sing to your name."
ⲑ̅ⲛϩⲉⲑⲛⲟⲥ ⲇⲉ ϩⲁ ⲟⲩⲛⲁ ⲉⲧⲣⲉⲩϯ ⲉⲟⲟⲩ ⲙⲡ ⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲕⲁⲧⲁ ⲑⲉ ⲉⲧⲥⲏϩ ϫⲉ ⲉⲧⲃⲉ ⲡⲁⲓ ϯⲛⲁⲟⲩⲱⲛϩ ⲛⲁⲕ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲛ ⲛⲓϩⲉⲑⲛⲟⲥ ⲁⲩⲱ ϯⲛⲁⲯⲁⲗⲗⲉⲓ ⲉⲡⲉⲕⲣⲁⲛ
10 Again he says, "Rejoice, you nations, with his people."
ⲓ̅ⲁⲩⲱ ⲟⲛ ϣⲁϥϫⲟⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲉⲩⲫⲣⲁⲛⲉ ⲛϩⲉⲑⲛⲟⲥ ⲙⲛ ⲡⲉϥⲗⲁⲟⲥ
11 Again, "Praise the Lord, all you nations. Let all the peoples praise him."
ⲓ̅ⲁ̅ⲁⲩⲱ ⲟⲛ ϣⲁϥⲇⲟⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲛϩⲉⲑⲛⲟⲥ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ⲥⲙⲟⲩ ⲉⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲙⲉⲣⲟⲩⲧⲁⲉⲓⲟϥ ⲛϭⲓ ⲛⲗⲁⲟⲥ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ
12 Again, Isaiah says, "There will be the root of Jesse, he who arises to rule over the peoples; in him will the nations hope."
ⲓ̅ⲃ̅ϣⲁⲣⲉ ⲏⲥⲁⲓⲁⲥ ⲟⲛ ϫⲟⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲥⲛⲁϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲛϭⲓ ⲧⲛⲟⲩⲛⲉ ⲛⲓⲉⲥⲥⲁⲓ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲡⲉⲧⲛⲁⲧⲱⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲁⲣⲭⲓ ⲉⲛϩⲉⲑⲛⲟⲥ ⲛϩⲉⲑⲛⲟⲥ ⲛⲁϩⲉⲗⲡⲓⲍⲉ ⲉⲣⲟϥ
13 Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope, in the power of the Holy Spirit.
ⲓ̅ⲅ̅ⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲑⲉⲗⲡⲓⲥ ⲉϥⲉϫⲉⲕ ⲧⲏⲩⲧⲛ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛⲣⲁϣⲉ ⲛⲓⲙ ϩⲓⲉⲓⲣⲏⲛⲏ ϩⲙ ⲡⲧⲣⲉⲧⲛⲡⲓⲥⲧⲉⲩⲉ ⲉⲡⲧⲣⲉⲧⲛⲣϩⲟⲩⲟ ϩⲛ ⲑⲉⲗⲡⲓⲥ ϩⲛ ⲧϭⲟⲙ ⲙⲡⲉⲡⲛⲁ ⲉⲧⲟⲩⲁⲁⲃ
14 I myself am also persuaded about you, my brothers, that you yourselves are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, able also to admonish others.
ⲓ̅ⲇ̅ϯⲡⲓⲑⲉ ϩⲱ ϩⲁⲣⲱⲧⲛ ⲛⲁⲥⲛⲏⲩ ϫⲉ ⲧⲉⲧⲛⲙⲉϩ ϩⲱⲧ ⲧⲏⲩⲧⲛ ⲙⲡⲡⲉⲧⲛⲁⲛⲟⲩϥ ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛϫⲏⲕ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲙⲡⲥⲟⲟⲩⲛ ⲧⲏⲣϥ ⲉⲩⲛϭⲟⲙ ⲟⲛ ⲙⲙⲱⲧⲛ ⲉϯ ⲥⲃⲱ ⲛⲛⲉⲧⲛⲉⲣⲏⲩ
15 But I write the more boldly to you in part, as reminding you, because of the grace that was given to me by God,
ⲓ̅ⲉ̅ϩⲛ ⲟⲩⲧⲟⲗⲙⲁ ⲁⲓⲥϩⲁⲓ ⲛⲏⲧⲛ ⲁⲡⲟ ⲙⲉⲣⲟⲩⲥ ⲛⲁⲥⲛⲏⲩ ⲉⲓⲧⲣⲉⲧⲛⲉⲓⲣⲉ ⲙⲡⲙⲉⲉⲩⲉ ⲉⲧⲃⲉ ⲧⲉⲭⲁⲣⲓⲥ ⲉⲛⲧⲁⲩⲧⲁⲁⲥ ⲛⲁⲓ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲙ ⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ
16 that I should be a servant of Christ Jesus to the non-Jews, serving as a priest the Good News of God, that the offering up of the non-Jews might be made acceptable, sanctified by the Holy Spirit.
ⲓ̅ⲋ̅ⲉⲧⲣⲁϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲛⲗⲓⲧⲟⲩⲣⲅⲟⲥ ⲙⲡⲉⲭⲥ ⲓⲏⲥ ⲉⲛϩⲉⲑⲛⲟⲥ ⲉⲓϣⲙϣⲉ ⲙⲡⲉⲩⲁⲅⲅⲉⲗⲓⲟⲛ ⲙⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ϫⲉ ⲉⲣⲉⲧⲉ ⲡⲣⲟⲥⲫⲟⲣⲁ ⲛⲛϩⲉⲑⲛⲟⲥ ϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲉⲥϣⲏⲡ ⲉⲁⲩⲧⲃⲃⲟⲥ ϩⲛ ⲟⲩⲡⲛⲁ ⲉϥⲟⲩⲁⲁⲃ
17 I have therefore my boasting in Christ Jesus in things pertaining to God.
ⲓ̅ⲍ̅ⲟⲩⲛⲧⲁⲓ ϭⲉ ⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲙⲡϣⲟⲩϣⲟⲩ ϩⲙ ⲡⲉⲭⲥ ⲓⲏⲥ ⲛⲛⲁϩⲣⲙ ⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ
18 For I will not dare to speak of any things except those which Christ worked through me, for the obedience of the non-Jews, by word and deed,
ⲓ̅ⲏ̅ⲛⲉⲉⲓⲧⲟⲗⲙⲁ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲁⲛ ⲉϫⲉ ⲗⲁⲁⲩ ⲛϣⲁϫⲉ ⲉⲙⲡⲉ ⲡⲉⲭⲥ ⲁⲁϥ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲟⲟⲧ ⲉⲡⲥⲱⲧⲙ ⲛⲛϩⲉⲑⲛⲟⲥ ϩⲙ ⲡϣⲁϫⲉ ⲙⲛ ⲡϩⲱⲃ
19 in the power of signs and wonders, in the power of the Spirit of God; so that from Jerusalem, and around as far as to Illyricum, I have fully preached the Good News of Christ.
ⲓ̅ⲑ̅ϩⲛ ⲧϭⲟⲙ ⲛϩⲉⲛⲙⲁⲉⲓⲛ ⲙⲛ ϩⲉⲛϣⲡⲏⲣⲉ ϩⲛ ⲧϭⲟⲙ ⲙⲡⲉⲡⲛⲁ ⲉⲧⲟⲩⲁⲁⲃ ϩⲱⲥⲧⲉ ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ϫⲓⲛ ⲑⲓⲉⲣⲟⲥⲟⲗⲩⲙⲁ ⲙⲛ ⲡⲉⲥⲕⲱⲧⲉ ϣⲁϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲉⲡⲓⲗⲗⲩⲣⲓⲕⲟⲛ ⲉⲧⲣⲁϫⲱⲕ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲙⲡⲉⲩⲁⲅⲅⲉⲗⲓⲟⲛ ⲙⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ
20 And in this way I desire to preach the Good News where Christ was not known, that I might not build on another's foundation.
ⲕ̅ⲉⲉⲓⲣⲟⲟⲩⲧ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲧⲉⲉⲓϩⲉ ⲉⲉⲩⲁⲅⲅⲉⲗⲓⲍⲉ ϩⲙ ⲡⲙⲁ ⲁⲛ ⲉⲛⲧⲁⲩⲧⲁⲩⲉ ⲡⲉⲭⲥ ⲛϩⲏⲧϥ ϫⲉⲕⲁⲥ ⲉⲛⲛⲁⲕⲱⲧ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲉϫⲛ ⲕⲉⲥⲛⲧⲉ
21 But, as it is written, "Those who were not told about him, they will see, and those who have not heard, they will understand."
ⲕ̅ⲁ̅ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲕⲁⲧⲁ ⲑⲉ ⲉⲧⲥⲏϩ ϫⲉ ⲥⲉⲛⲁⲛⲁⲩ ⲛϭⲓ ⲛⲉⲧⲉⲙⲡⲟⲩϫⲱ ⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲧⲃⲏⲏⲧϥ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲥⲉⲛⲁⲉⲓⲙⲉ ⲛϭⲓ ⲛⲉⲧⲉⲙⲡⲟⲩⲥⲱⲧⲙ
22 Therefore also I was hindered these many times from coming to you,
ⲕ̅ⲃ̅ⲉⲧⲃⲉ ⲡⲁⲓ ⲣⲱ ⲛⲉⲉⲓϫⲓϫⲣⲟⲡ ⲡⲉ ⲛϩⲁϩ ⲛⲥⲟⲡ ⲉⲉⲓ ϣⲁⲣⲱⲧⲛ
23 but now, no longer having any place in these regions, and having these many years a longing to come to you,
ⲕ̅ⲅ̅ⲧⲉⲛⲟⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲙⲛϯ ⲙⲁ ϩⲛ ⲛⲉⲓⲕⲗⲓⲙⲁ ⲉⲩⲛⲧⲁⲓ ⲇⲉ ⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲛⲟⲩⲟⲩⲱϣ ⲉⲉⲓ ϣⲁⲣⲱⲧⲛ ⲉⲓⲥ ϩⲁϩ ⲛⲣⲟⲙⲡⲉ
24 whenever I journey to Spain I will come to you. For I hope to see you on my journey, and to be helped on my way there by you, if first I may enjoy your company for a while.
ⲕ̅ⲇ̅ⲉⲓⲉⲓ ⲉⲓⲛⲁⲃⲱⲕ ⲉⲧⲉⲥⲡⲁⲛⲓⲁ ϯϩⲉⲗⲡⲓⲍⲉ ⲉⲓⲛⲏⲩ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲟⲧ ⲧⲏⲩⲧⲛ ⲉⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲣⲱⲧⲛ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲥⲉⲑⲡⲟⲓ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲟⲧ ⲧⲏⲩⲧⲛ ⲉⲙⲁⲩ ⲉⲓϣⲁⲛⲥⲉⲓ ⲙⲙⲱⲧⲛ ⲛϣⲟⲣⲡ ⲁⲡⲟ ⲙⲉⲣⲟⲩⲥ
25 But now, I say, I am going to Jerusalem, serving the saints.
ⲕ̅ⲉ̅ⲧⲉⲛⲟⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲓⲛⲁⲃⲱⲕ ⲉⲑⲓⲉⲣⲟⲥⲟⲗⲩⲙⲁ ⲉⲇⲓⲁⲕⲟⲛⲓ ⲛⲛⲉⲧⲟⲩⲁⲁⲃ
26 For it has been the good pleasure of Macedonia and Achaia to make a certain contribution for the poor among the saints who are at Jerusalem.
ⲕ̅ⲋ̅ⲁⲩⲣϩⲛⲁⲩ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲛϭⲓ ⲛⲁⲧⲙⲁⲕⲉⲇⲟⲛⲓⲁ ⲙⲛⲧⲁⲭⲁⲓⲁ ⲉⲉⲓⲣⲉ ⲛⲟⲩⲕⲟⲓⲛⲱⲛⲓⲁ ⲉⲛϩⲏⲕⲉ ⲛⲛⲉⲧⲟⲩⲁⲁⲃ ⲉⲧϩⲛ ⲑⲓⲉⲣⲟⲥⲟⲗⲩⲙⲁ
27 Yes, it has been their good pleasure, and they are their debtors. For if the non-Jewish people have been made partakers of their spiritual things, they owe it to them also to serve them in fleshly things.
ⲕ̅ⲍ̅ⲁⲩⲣϩⲛⲁⲩ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲟⲩⲛⲧⲁⲩⲥ ⲉⲣⲟⲟⲩ ⲉϣϫⲉ ⲁⲛϩⲉⲑⲛⲟⲥ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲕⲟⲓⲛⲱⲛⲓ ⲉⲛⲉⲩⲡⲛⲁⲧⲓⲕⲟⲛ ϣϣⲉ ⲟⲛ ⲉⲣⲟⲟⲩ ⲉϣⲙϣⲉ ⲛⲁⲩ ϩⲛ ⲛⲥⲁⲣⲕⲓⲕⲟⲛ
28 When therefore I have accomplished this, and have sealed to them this fruit, I will go on by way of you to Spain.
ⲕ̅ⲏ̅ⲡⲁⲓ ϭⲉ ⲉⲓϣⲁⲛϫⲟⲕϥ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲧⲁⲥⲫⲣⲁⲅⲓⲍⲉ ⲛⲁⲩ ⲙⲡⲉⲓⲕⲁⲣⲡⲟⲥ ϯⲛⲁⲃⲱⲕ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓ ⲧⲉⲧⲏⲩⲧⲛ ⲉⲧⲉⲥⲡⲁⲛⲓⲁ
29 I know that, when I come to you, I will come in the fullness of the blessing of Christ.
ⲕ̅ⲑ̅ϯⲥⲟⲟⲩⲛ ⲇⲉ ϫⲉ ⲉⲓⲛⲏⲩ ϣⲁⲣⲱⲧⲛ ⲉⲉⲓⲛⲏⲩ ϩⲛ ⲟⲩϫⲱⲕ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛⲥⲙⲟⲩ ⲛⲧⲉ ⲡⲉⲭⲥ
30 Now I appeal to you, brothers, by our Lord Jesus Christ, and by the love of the Spirit, that you strive together with me in your prayers to God for me,
ⲗ̅ϯⲡⲁⲣⲁⲕⲁⲗⲉⲓ ⲇⲉ ⲙⲙⲱⲧⲛ ⲛⲁⲥⲛⲏⲩ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲛ ⲡⲉⲛϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲓⲏⲥ ⲡⲉⲭⲥ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲛ ⲧⲁⲅⲁⲡⲏ ⲙⲡⲉⲡⲛⲁ ⲉⲧⲣⲉⲧⲛⲁⲅⲱⲛⲓⲍⲉ ⲛⲙⲙⲁⲓ ϩⲛ ⲛⲉϣⲗⲏⲗ ϩⲁⲣⲟⲓ ⲛⲛⲁϩⲣⲙ ⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ
31 that I may be delivered from those who are disobedient in Judea, and that my service which I have for Jerusalem may be acceptable to the saints;
ⲗ̅ⲁ̅ϫⲉⲕⲁⲥ ⲉⲓⲉⲛⲟⲩϩⲙ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲛ ⲛⲉⲧⲟ ⲛⲁⲧⲛⲁϩⲧⲉ ϩⲛ ϯⲟⲩⲇⲁⲓⲁ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲧⲉⲧⲁⲇⲓⲁⲕⲟⲛⲓⲁ ⲉⲧϣⲟⲟⲡ ⲉⲑⲓⲉⲣⲟⲥⲟⲗⲩⲙⲁ ϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲉⲥϣⲏⲡ ⲛⲛⲉⲧⲟⲩⲁⲁⲃ
32 that I may come to you in joy through the will of God, and together with you, find rest.
ⲗ̅ⲃ̅ϫⲉⲕⲁⲥ ⲉⲉⲓϣⲁⲛⲉⲓ ϣⲁⲣⲱⲧⲛ ϩⲛ ⲟⲩⲣⲁϣⲉ ϩⲓⲧⲙ ⲡⲟⲩⲱϣ ⲙⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲉⲓⲉⲙⲧⲟⲛ ⲙⲙⲟⲓ ⲛⲙⲙⲏⲧⲛ
33 Now the God of peace be with you all. Amen.
ⲗ̅ⲅ̅ⲉⲣⲉⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲛϯⲣⲏⲛⲏ ϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲛⲙⲙⲏⲧⲛ ⲧⲏⲣⲧⲛ ϩⲁⲙⲏⲛ
