Revelation 9
1 The fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star from the sky which had fallen to the earth. The key to the pit of the abyss was given to him. (Abyssos g12)
I zatrąbił piąty anioł, i zobaczyłem gwiazdę, która spadła z nieba na ziemię i dano jej klucz do studni otchłani. (Abyssos g12)
2 He opened the shaft of the bottomless pit, and smoke went up out of the shaft, like the smoke from a great furnace. The sun and the air were darkened because of the smoke from the pit. (Abyssos g12)
I otworzyła studnię otchłani, i wzbił się dym ze studni, jakby dym wielkiego pieca, a słońce i powietrze zaćmiły się od dymu studni. (Abyssos g12)
3 Then out of the smoke came forth locusts on the earth, and power was given to them, as the scorpions of the earth have power.
A z dymu wyszła szarańcza na ziemię i dano jej moc, jaką mają skorpiony ziemskie.
4 They were told that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree, but only those people who do not have God's seal on their foreheads.
I powiedziano jej, żeby nie wyrządzała szkody trawie na ziemi ani niczemu zielonemu, ani żadnemu drzewu, lecz tylko samym ludziom, którzy nie mają pieczęci Boga na czołach.
5 They were given power not to kill them, but to torment them for five months. Their torment was like the torment of a scorpion, when it strikes a person.
I dano jej nakaz, aby ich nie zabijały, lecz dręczyły przez pięć miesięcy. A ich cierpienia [były] jak cierpienia zadane przez skorpiona, gdy ukąsi człowieka.
6 In those days people will seek death, and will in no way find it. They will desire to die, and death will flee from them.
I w owe dni ludzie będą szukać śmierci, lecz jej nie znajdą, i będą chcieli umrzeć, ale śmierć od nich ucieknie.
7 The shapes of the locusts were like horses prepared for war. On their heads were something like golden crowns, and their faces were like people's faces.
A szarańcza z wyglądu była podobna do koni przygotowanych do boju, na ich głowach jakby korony podobne do złota, a ich twarze jakby twarze ludzkie.
8 They had hair like women's hair, and their teeth were like those of lions.
I miały włosy jakby włosy kobiece, a ich zęby były jak u lwów.
9 They had breastplates, like breastplates of iron. The sound of their wings was like the sound of chariots, or of many horses rushing to war.
Miały też pancerze jakby z żelaza, a szum ich skrzydeł jakby odgłos wielokonnych rydwanów pędzących do boju.
10 They have tails like those of scorpions, and stings. In their tails is their power to harm people for five months.
I miały ogony podobne do skorpionów, a żądła były w ich ogonach. I [dano] im moc wyrządzania ludziom szkody przez pięć miesięcy.
11 They have over them as king the angel of the abyss. His name in Hebrew is "Abaddon," and in Greek, he has the name "Apollyon." (Abyssos g12)
Mają nad sobą króla, anioła otchłani, którego imię po hebrajsku brzmi Abaddon, a po grecku Apollyon. (Abyssos g12)
12 The first woe is past. Look, there are still two woes coming after this.
Jedno „biada” minęło, a oto jeszcze dwa „biada” potem nadchodzą.
13 The sixth angel sounded. I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar which is before God,
I zatrąbił szósty anioł, i usłyszałem jeden głos od czterech rogów złotego ołtarza, który jest przed Bogiem;
14 saying to the sixth angel who had one trumpet, "Free the four angels who are bound at the great river Euphrates."
Mówiący do szóstego anioła, który miał trąbę: Uwolnij czterech aniołów związanych nad wielką rzeką Eufrat.
15 The four angels were freed who had been prepared for this hour and day and month and year, so that they might kill one third of humanity.
I zostali uwolnieni czterej aniołowie, przygotowani na godzinę, na dzień, na miesiąc i na rok, aby zabić trzecią część ludzi.
16 The number of the armies of the horsemen was two hundred million. I heard the number of them.
A liczba wojsk konnych [wynosiła] dwieście milionów, bo usłyszałem ich liczbę.
17 Thus I saw the horses in the vision, and those who sat on them, having breastplates of fiery red, hyacinth blue, and sulfur yellow; and the heads of lions. Out of their mouths proceed fire, smoke, and sulfur.
I tak zobaczyłem w widzeniu konie i tych, którzy na nich siedzieli, mających pancerze [barwy] ognia, hiacyntu i siarki. A głowy koni były jak głowy lwów, a z ich pysków wychodził ogień, dym i siarka.
18 By these three plagues were one third of humanity killed: from the fire, the smoke, and the sulfur, which proceeded out of their mouths.
A od tych trzech [plag] została zabita trzecia część ludzi, od ognia, dymu i siarki, które wychodziły z ich pysków.
19 For the power of the horses is in their mouths, and in their tails. For their tails are like serpents, and have heads, and with them they harm.
Moc bowiem tych koni jest w ich pyskach i w ogonach, bo ich ogony są podobne do węży, które mają głowy i nimi wyrządzają szkody.
20 The rest of humanity, who were not killed with these plagues, did not repent of the works of their hands, that they would not worship demons, and the idols of gold, and of silver, and of bronze, and of stone, and of wood; which can neither see, nor hear, nor walk.
A pozostali ludzie, którzy nie zostali zabici przez te plagi, nie pokutowali od uczynków swoich rąk, tak by nie oddawać pokłonu demonom i bożkom złotym, srebrnym, miedzianym, kamiennym i drewnianym, które nie mogą ani widzieć, ani słyszeć, ani chodzić.
21 They did not repent of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their sexual immorality, nor of their thefts.
I nie pokutowali od swoich morderstw ani od swoich czarów, ani od swego nierządu, ani od swoich kradzieży.
