Psalms 97

1 YHWH reigns. Let the earth rejoice. Let the multitude of islands be glad.

Господь царює! Нехай веселиться земля, радіють численні острови!

2 Clouds and darkness are around him. Righteousness and justice are the foundation of his throne.

Хмара й імла навколо Нього; справедливість і правосуддя – основа Його престолу.

3 A fire goes before him, and burns up his adversaries on every side.

Вогонь іде перед Ним і спалює навкруги ворогів Його.

4 His lightning lights up the world. The earth sees, and trembles.

Блискавки Його освітлюють всесвіт, земля бачить і тремтить.

5 The mountains melt like wax at the presence of YHWH, at the presence of the Lord of the whole earth.

Гори тануть, немов віск, перед обличчям Господа, перед обличчям Володаря всієї землі.

6 The heavens declare his righteousness. All the peoples have seen his glory.

Небеса сповіщають Його правду, усі народи бачать Його славу.

7 Let all them be shamed who serve engraved images, who boast in their idols. Worship him, all you gods.

Нехай соромом вкриються всі, хто служить ідолам, хто хвалиться нікчемними божками. Вклоніться Йому, усі боги!

8 Zion heard and was glad. The daughters of Judah rejoiced, because of your judgments, YHWH.

Почув це Сіон і зрадів, звеселилися доньки Юди через суди Твої, Господи.

9 For you, YHWH, are most high above all the earth. You are exalted far above all gods.

Адже Ти, Господи, Всевишній над усією землею, піднесений високо над усіма богами.

10 You who love YHWH, hate evil. He preserves the souls of his faithful ones. He delivers them out of the hand of the wicked.

Ті, хто Господа любить, ненавидьте зло! Він береже душі Своїх вірних, визволяє їх від руки нечестивих.

11 Light is sown for the righteous, and gladness for the upright in heart.

Світло посіяне у праведника, і радість – у щирих серцем.

12 Be glad in YHWH, you righteous people. Give thanks to his holy Name.

Радійте, праведні, у Господі, і славте пам’ять Його святині!
