< Psalms 9 >

1 [For the choir director; according to Muth-labben. A Psalm by David.] I will give thanks to YHWH with my whole heart. I will tell of all your marvelous works.

2 I will be glad and rejoice in you. I will sing praise to your name, O Most High.

3 When my enemies turn back, they stumble and perish in your presence.

5 You have rebuked the nations. You have destroyed the wicked. You have blotted out their name forever and ever.
Nangman namtin vaipi nalethuh in migiloute nasu-mang'in, amin'u tonsot'a din nathai mangtai.
6 The enemy is overtaken by endless ruin; and the very memory of the cities which you have overthrown has perished.
Melmate chu nangin a-itih'a dingin nasumang in, khopi nasuh mang ho jong tun suhmil'in aumgam-tauve.
7 But YHWH reigns forever. He has prepared his throne for judgment.
Ahinlah Yahweh Pakai hi tonsot leng ahin, thutanna dingin alaltouna atungdoh'in ahi.
8 And he will judge the world in righteousness. He will judge the peoples with equity.
Aman leiset hi thudih'a achungthu atan a, namtin vaipi chunga hi dihtah'a vai ahop ding ahi.
9 YHWH will also be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble.
Yahweh Pakaihi bolgentheija umho dinga hoidohna ahin, hahsatna nikho hoa dinga kicholdona kulpi ahi.
10 And those who know your name will put their trust in you, for you, YHWH, have not forsaken those who seek you.

11 Sing praises to YHWH, who dwells in Zion, and declare among the people what he has done.

12 For he who takes revenge against murderers remembers them. He doesn't forget the cry of the afflicted.

13 Have mercy on me, YHWH. See my affliction by those who hate me. You lift me up from the gates of death,

14 so that I may tell all your praise in the gates of the daughter of Zion. I will rejoice in your salvation.

15 The nations have fallen into the pit they had made. In the net which they hid, their feet are caught.

16 YHWH has made himself known. He has executed judgment. The wicked is snared by the work of his own hands. (Higgaion, Selah)

17 The wicked shall be turned back to Sheol, even all the nations that forget God. (Sheol h7585)

18 For the needy shall not always be forgotten; the hope of the poor shall not perish forever.
Ahinlah panpi ngaichaho chu nahsahmoa umjom jing loudiu: chule migenthei te kinepna jong tonsot a suhmil-a um louding ahi.
19 Arise, YHWH. Do not let man prevail. Let the nations be judged in your presence.
Hungthou vin, O Yahweh Pakai! Mihemho kinoise sah-hih beh'in! Nangma ginglou namtin vaipi ho chungthu hi tanin!
20 Terrify them, YHWH. Let the nations know that they are only human. (Selah)
