< Psalms 81 >
1 [For the Chief Musician. On an instrument of Gath. By Asaph.] Sing aloud to God, our strength. Make a joyful shout to the God of Jacob.
Wɔde ma dwonkyerɛfo sɛ wɔnto sɛ “gittit” sanku nne so. Asaf dwom. Monto ahurusi dwom mma Onyankopɔn yɛn ahoɔden; mommɔ ose mma Yakob Nyankopɔn no!
2 Raise a song, and bring here the tambourine, the pleasant lyre with the harp.
Momma nnwom no so na monwosow akasaa. Mommɔ sanku ne bɛnta dɛdɛ no.
3 Blow the trumpet at the New Moon, at the full moon, on our feast day.
Monhyɛn mmentia ɔsram foforo da no, ne ne kurokumatwa mu, yɛn Aponto da no;
4 For it is a statute for Israel, an ordinance of the God of Jacob.
Eyi yɛ Israelfo ahyɛde, Yakob Nyankopɔn mmara.
5 He appointed it in Joseph for a testimony, when he went out over the land of Egypt, I heard a language that I did not know.
Otintimii sɛ nhyehyɛe maa Yosef bere a ɔsɔre tiaa Misraim no, faako a yɛtee kasa a yɛnte ase no.
6 "I removed his shoulder from the burden. His hands were freed from the basket.
Ɔka se, “Miyii adesoa no fii wɔn mmati so, ne wɔn nsa fii kɛntɛn ho.
7 You called in trouble, and I delivered you. I answered you in the secret place of thunder. I tested you at the waters of Meribah." (Selah)
Mo ahohiahia mu mofrɛɛ me na migyee mo, migyee mo so wɔ aprannaa mu; mesɔɔ mo hwɛɛ wɔ Meriba nsu ho.
8 "Hear, my people, and I will testify to you, Israel, if you would listen to me.
“Me nkurɔfo, muntie me kɔkɔbɔ yi, Israel, sɛ mubetie me a!
9 There shall be no strange god in you, neither shall you worship any foreign god.
Ɛnsɛ sɛ munya anyame foforo bi wɔ mo mu; ɛnsɛ sɛ mokotow ananafo anyame.
10 I am YHWH, your God, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt. Open your mouth wide, and I will fill it.
Mene Awurade, mo Nyankopɔn a miyii mo fii Misraim asase so no. Mummue mo anom tɛtrɛɛ na mɛhyɛ mu ma.
11 But my people did not listen to my voice. Israel desired none of me.
“Nanso me nkurɔfo rentie me; Israel remmrɛ ne ho ase mma me.
12 So I let them go after the stubbornness of their hearts, that they might walk in their own counsels.
Enti migyaa wɔn maa wɔn komaden sɛ wɔnyɛ nea wɔpɛ biara.
13 Oh that my people would listen to me, that Israel would walk in my ways.
“Sɛ me nkurɔfo tie me, na Israel nantew mʼakwan so a,
14 I would soon subdue their enemies, and turn my hand against their adversaries.
anka medi wɔn atamfo so ama wɔn ntɛm na mama me basa so atia wɔn a wokyi wɔn!
15 The haters of YHWH would cringe before him, and their punishment would last forever.
Wɔn a wɔtan Awurade no de osuro bɛkotow no, na wɔn asotwe to rentwa da.
16 And he would have fed him with the finest wheat, and satisfied you with honey from the rock."
Nanso wɔde atoko mu atoko papa bɛma mo adi; mede ɔbotan mu wo bɛma mo amee.”
