< Psalms 64 >

1 [For the Chief Musician. A Psalm by David.] Hear my voice, God, in my complaint. Preserve my life from fear of the enemy.
Kathutkung: Devit Oe Cathut, ka phuenangnae dawk, ka lawk na thai pouh haw. Ka tarannaw ka takinae koehoi ka hringnae na khetyawt lawih.
2 Hide me from the conspiracy of the wicked, from the noisy crowd of the ones doing evil;
Tamikathoutnaw e kâdeikâpannae koehoi thoseh, Payonnae kasaknaw kamkhuengnae koehoi thoseh, na ngue haw.
3 who sharpen their tongue like a sword, and aim their arrows, deadly words,
Ahnimouh ni amamae lai hah, tahloi patetlah a hran sak awh.
4 to shoot innocent men from ambushes. They shoot at him suddenly and fearlessly.
Yonnae ka tawn hoeh e tami hah arulahoi ka hanelah, lawkthoeumkha pala hoi a nue awh teh, takinae tawn laipalah vaitalahoi ouk a ka awh.
5 They encourage themselves in evil plans. They talk about laying snares secretly. They say, "Who will see them?"

6 They plot injustice; they hide a well-conceived plan. Surely man's mind and heart are cunning.
Hawihoehnae hah ma hanelah a pâphue awh. Ngit a pâphue awh. Lungthin thung lengkaleng a pouknae teh a dungpoung.
7 But God will shoot at them. They will be suddenly struck down with an arrow.

8 Their own tongues shall ruin them. All who see them will shake their heads.
A dei awh e lawk dawk letlang a rawp sak vaiteh, ka hmawt e pueng ni a yawng takhai awh han.
9 All humankind shall be afraid. They shall declare the work of God, and shall wisely ponder what he has done.
Tami pueng ni taket vaiteh, Cathut ni a sak e doeh tie a pâpho awh han. Bangkongtetpawiteh, hmantang a sak awh e hah a pouk awh han.
10 The righteous shall be glad in YHWH, and shall take refuge in him. All the upright in heart shall praise him.
