1 [For the Chief Musician. To the tune of "Silent Dove in Distant Lands." A poem by David, when the Philistines seized him in Gath.] Be merciful to me, God, for man wants to swallow me up. All day long, he attacks and oppresses me.

2 My enemies want to swallow me up all day long, for they are many who fight proudly against me.
Mimvuezi miama milembo ndandakani mu lumbu kimvimba Bawombo balembo nduanisa mu luniemo luawu.
3 When I am afraid, I will put my trust in you.
Mu thangu ndimmona tsisi; ndiela tula diana diama mu ngeyo.
4 In God, I praise his word. In God, I put my trust. I will not be afraid. What can flesh do to me?
Mu Nzambi, mutu vuidi mambu ndieti zitisa Mu Nzambi ndieti tula diana; ndilendi mona tsisi ko, Mutu wowo wumfuanga, mbi kalenda kuphanga e?
5 All day long they twist my words. All their thoughts are against me for evil.
Mu lumbu kimvimba, beti balula mambu mama; balembo yindula mu zithangu zioso mu kumbonisa phasi.
6 They conspire and lurk, watching my steps, they are eager to take my life.
Balembo kutakana; balembo suami balembo fiongunina zithambi ziama, mu nsualu-nsualu batidi bonga luzingu luama.
7 Shall they escape by iniquity? In anger cast down the peoples, God.
Balendi vukila kani mu kipholo kiawu kimosi ko e? Mu nganzi aku, a Nzambi, bedisa makanda
8 You number my wanderings. You put my tears into your bottle. Aren't they in your book?
Sonika maniongo mama Lunda matsuela mama mu khutu aku. Masi ko mu lutangu luaku e?
9 Then my enemies shall turn back in the day that I call. I know this, that God is for me.
Buna bambeni ziela vutikisa ku mbusa mu thangu ndiela tela mu tomba lusadusu. Mu diadi diela zabila ti Nzambi widi ku ndambuꞌama.
10 In God, I will praise his word. In YHWH, I will praise his word.
Mu Nzambi mutu vuidi mambu ndieti zitisa Mu Yave, mutu vuidi mambu ndieti zitisa.
11 I have put my trust in God. I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?
Mu Nzambi nditula diana diama, ndilendi mona tsisi ko; mutu mbi kalenda ku phanga e?
12 Your vows are on me, God. I will give thank offerings to you.
Ndidi ku tsi zindefi ziaku, a Nzambi. Ndiela tambika makaba ma phutudulu matondo kuidi ngeyo.
13 For you have delivered my soul from death, and prevented my feet from falling, that I may walk before God in the light of the living.
Bila ngeyo wukhula mu lufua, ayi malu mama mu diambu mabika bumina thutu muingi ndidiatilanga va ntuala Nzambi, mu kiezila ki luzingu.
