< Psalms 56 >
1 [For the Chief Musician. To the tune of "Silent Dove in Distant Lands." A poem by David, when the Philistines seized him in Gath.] Be merciful to me, God, for man wants to swallow me up. All day long, he attacks and oppresses me.
Abụ Ọma nke dịrị onyeisi abụ. Ọ bụ olu abụ “Nduru nọ nʼosisi Ook dị ebe dị anya.” Abụ nke Devid ka eji agụ ya. Abụ miktam. Mgbe ndị Filistia nọchibidoro ya nʼobodo Gat. O Chineke, meere m ebere, nʼihi na ndị mmadụ ji ike na-achụso m; ogologo ụbọchị niile, ha na-ebu agha imegide m.
2 My enemies want to swallow me up all day long, for they are many who fight proudly against me.
Ogologo ụbọchị niile ndị iro m na-achụso m; site na nganga ha, ọtụtụ na-ebu agha megide m.
3 When I am afraid, I will put my trust in you.
Ma mgbe ụjọ na-atụ m, ọ bụ na gị ka m na-atụkwasị obi m.
4 In God, I praise his word. In God, I put my trust. I will not be afraid. What can flesh do to me?
Nʼime Chineke onye m na-eto okwu ya, nʼime Chineke ka m na-atụkwasị obi; ụjọ agaghị atụ m. Gịnị ka mmadụ efu pụrụ ime m?
5 All day long they twist my words. All their thoughts are against me for evil.
Ogologo ụbọchị niile, ha na-asụgharị okwu m kwuru isi; oge niile ka ha na-atụ atụmatụ imerụ m ahụ.
6 They conspire and lurk, watching my steps, they are eager to take my life.
Ha na-agba izu nzuzo na-ezokwa onwe ha, ha na-enyochapụta nzọ ụkwụ m niile, dịkwa njikere ịnapụ m ndụ m.
7 Shall they escape by iniquity? In anger cast down the peoples, God.
Nʼihi ajọ omume ha, ekwekwala ka ha gbapụ; o Chineke, nʼime iwe gị, wedaa mba ndị a niile dị iche iche nʼala.
8 You number my wanderings. You put my tears into your bottle. Aren't they in your book?
Depụta akwa arịrị m; chekọtasịa anya mmiri akwa m niile nʼime karama gị. Ọ bụ na ha adịghị nʼakwụkwọ ndepụta gị?
9 Then my enemies shall turn back in the day that I call. I know this, that God is for me.
Mgbe m ga-akpọku gị maka enyemaka, ndị iro m ga-agbaghachi azụ. Site nʼụzọ dị otu a, aga m amara na Chineke nọnyeere m.
10 In God, I will praise his word. In YHWH, I will praise his word.
Nʼime Chineke, onye m na-eto okwu ya, nʼime Onyenwe anyị, onye m na-eto okwu ya,
11 I have put my trust in God. I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?
nʼime Chineke ka m na-atụkwasị obi; ụjọ agaghị atụ m. Gịnị ka mmadụ pụrụ ime m?
12 Your vows are on me, God. I will give thank offerings to you.
O Chineke m, nʼisi m ka nkwa niile m kwere gị dị; aga m ewetara gị onyinye ekele m niile.
13 For you have delivered my soul from death, and prevented my feet from falling, that I may walk before God in the light of the living.
Nʼihi na ị zọpụtala m site nʼọnwụ, ma napụta ụkwụ m site nʼịsọ ngọngọ, ka m nwee ike jegharịa nʼihu Chineke, nʼìhè nke ndụ.
