Psalms 52

1 [For the Chief Musician. A contemplation by David, when Doeg the Edomite came and told Saul, "David has come to Abimelech's house."] Why do you boast of mischief, mighty man? God's loving kindness endures continually.

Porque te glorias na malicia, ó homem poderoso? pois a bondade de Deus permanece continuamente.

2 Your tongue plots destruction, like a sharp razor, working deceitfully.

A tua lingua intenta o mal, como uma navalha amolada, traçando enganos.

3 You love evil more than good, lying rather than speaking the truth. (Selah)

Tu amas mais o mal do que o bem, e a mentira mais do que o fallar a rectidão (Selah)

4 You love all devouring words, you deceitful tongue.

Amas todas as palavras devoradoras, ó lingua fraudulenta.

5 God will likewise destroy you forever. He will take you up, and pluck you out of your tent, and root you out of the land of the living. (Selah)

Tambem Deus te destruirá para sempre; arrebatar-te-ha e arrancar-te-ha da tua habitação; e desarreigar-te-ha da terra dos viventes (Selah)

6 The righteous also will see it, and fear, and laugh at him, saying,

E os justos o verão, e temerão: e se rirão d'elle:

7 "Look, this is the man who did not make God his strength, but trusted in the abundance of his riches, and was confident in his desire."

Eis aqui o homem que não poz em Deus a sua fortaleza; antes confiou na abundancia das suas riquezas, e se fortaleceu na sua maldade.

8 But as for me, I am like a green olive tree in God's house. I trust in God's loving kindness forever and ever.

Mas eu sou como a oliveira verde na casa de Deus; confio na misericordia de Deus para sempre, eternamente.

9 I will give you thanks forever, because you have done it. I will hope in your name, for it is good, in the presence of your faithful ones.

Para sempre te louvarei, porque tu o fizeste, e esperarei no teu nome, porque é bom diante de teus sanctos.
