Psalms 29

1 [A Psalm by David.] Ascribe to YHWH, you sons of the mighty, ascribe to YHWH glory and strength.

١ لِدَاوُدَ قَدِّمُوا لِلرَّبِّ يَا أَبْنَاءَ اللهِ، قَدِّمُوا لِلرَّبِّ مَجْداً وَعِزّاً.

2 Ascribe to YHWH the glory due to his name. Worship YHWH in holy array.

٢ قَدِّمُوا لِلرَّبِّ مَجْداً لاِسْمِهِ. اسْجُدُوا لِلرَّبِّ بِثَوْبِ الإِجْلالِ وَالْقَدَاسَةِ.

3 The voice of YHWH is on the waters. The God of glory thunders, even YHWH on many waters.

٣ هُوَذَا صَوْتُ الرَّبِّ يُدَوِّي فَوْقَ الْمِيَاهِ. إِلَهُ الْمَجْدِ أَرْعَدَ. مَجْدُ الرَّبِّ فَوْقَ الْمِيَاهِ الْغَزِيرَةِ.

4 The voice of YHWH is powerful. The voice of YHWH is full of majesty.

٤ صَوْتُ الرَّبِّ قَوِيٌّ جِدّاً. صَوْتُ الرَّبِّ يَفِيضُ بِالْجَلالِ.

5 The voice of YHWH breaks the cedars. Yes, YHWH breaks in pieces the cedars of Lebanon.

٥ صَوْتُ الرَّبِّ يُكَسِّرُ شَجَرَ الأَرْزِ. نَعَمْ، إِنَّ الرَّبَّ يُكَسِّرُ أَرْزَ لُبْنَانَ.

6 He makes them also to skip like a calf; Lebanon and Sirion like a young, wild ox.

٦ فَيَجْعَلُ لُبْنَانَ يَفِرُّ كَالْعِجْلِ، وَجَبَلَ حَرْمُونَ يَقْفِزُ كَالثَّوْرِ الْوَحْشِيِّ الْفَتِيِّ.

7 The voice of YHWH strikes with flashes of lightning.

٧ صَوْتُ الرَّبِّ يَقْدَحُ وَمِيضَ بَرْقٍ،

8 The voice of YHWH shakes the wilderness. YHWH shakes the wilderness of Kadesh.

٨ صَوْتُ الرَّبِّ يُزَلْزِلُ الْبَرِّيَّةَ، وَيُزَلْزِلُ الرَّبُّ بَرِّيَّةَ قَادِشَ،

9 The voice of YHWH makes the large trees tremble, and strips the forests bare. In his temple everything says, "Glory."

٩ صَوْتُ الرَّبِّ يَجْعَلُ الْوُعُولَ تَلِدُ قَبْلَ الأَوَانِ، وَيُحَوِّلُ الْغَابَاتِ إِلَى عَرَاءٍ، وَفِي هَيْكَلِهِ الْكُلُّ يَهْتِفُ: مَجْداً.

10 YHWH sat enthroned at the Flood. Yes, YHWH sits as King forever.

١٠ جَلَسَ الرَّبُّ مَلِكاً فَوْقَ الطُّوفَانِ، وَيَتَرَبَّعُ عَلَى عَرْشِهِ إِلَى الأَبَدِ.

11 YHWH will give strength to his people. YHWH will bless his people with peace.

١١ الرَّبُّ يُعْطِي شَعْبَهُ عِزّاً. الرَّبُّ يُبَارِكُ شَعْبَهُ بِالسَّلامِ.
