Psalms 20

1 [For the Chief Musician. A Psalm by David.] May YHWH answer you in the day of trouble. May the name of the God of Jacob set you up on high.

١ لِإِمَامِ ٱلْمُغَنِّينَ. مَزْمُورٌ لِدَاوُدَ لِيَسْتَجِبْ لَكَ ٱلرَّبُّ فِي يَوْمِ ٱلضِّيقِ. لِيَرْفَعْكَ ٱسْمُ إِلَهِ يَعْقُوبَ.

2 He will send you help from the sanctuary, and give you support from Zion.

٢ لِيُرْسِلْ لَكَ عَوْنًا مِنْ قُدْسِهِ، وَمِنْ صِهْيَوْنَ لِيَعْضُدْكَ.

3 He will remember all your offerings, and accept your burnt sacrifice. (Selah)

٣ لِيَذْكُرْ كُلَّ تَقْدِمَاتِكَ، وَيَسْتَسْمِنْ مُحْرَقَاتِكَ. سِلَاهْ.

4 He will grant you your heart's desire, and fulfill all your plans.

٤ لِيُعْطِكَ حَسَبَ قَلْبِكَ، وَيُتَمِّمْ كُلَّ رَأْيِكَ.

5 We will triumph in your salvation. In the name of our God, we will set up our banners. May YHWH grant all your requests.

٥ نَتَرَنَّمُ بِخَلَاصِكَ، وَبِٱسْمِ إِلَهِنَا نَرْفَعُ رَايَتَنَا. لِيُكَمِّلِ ٱلرَّبُّ كُلَّ سُؤْلِكَ.

6 Now I know that YHWH saves his anointed. He will answer him from his holy heaven, with a mighty act of deliverance by his right hand.

٦ اَلْآنَ عَرَفْتُ أَنَّ ٱلرَّبَّ مُخَلِّصُ مَسِيحِهِ، يَسْتَجِيبُهُ مِنْ سَمَاءِ قُدْسِهِ، بِجَبَرُوتِ خَلَاصِ يَمِينِهِ.

7 Some [trust] in chariots, and some in horses, but we trust the name of YHWH our God.

٧ هَؤُلَاءِ بِٱلْمَرْكَبَاتِ وَهَؤُلَاءِ بِٱلْخَيْلِ، أَمَّا نَحْنُ فَٱسْمَ ٱلرَّبِّ إِلَهِنَا نَذْكُرُ.

8 They are bowed down and fallen, but we rise up, and stand upright.

٨ هُمْ جَثَوْا وَسَقَطُوا، أَمَّا نَحْنُ فَقُمْنَا وَٱنْتَصَبْنَا.

9 Save, YHWH. Let the King answer us when we call.

٩ يَا رَبُّ خَلِّصْ! لِيَسْتَجِبْ لَنَا ٱلْمَلِكُ فِي يَوْمِ دُعَائِنَا!
