Psalms 16
1 [A Poem by David.] Preserve me, God, for in you do I take refuge.
| مُذَهَّبَةٌ لِدَاوُدَ اِحْفَظْنِي يَا ٱللهُ لِأَنِّي عَلَيْكَ تَوَكَّلْتُ. | ١ |
2 I said to YHWH, "You are my Lord. Apart from you I have no good thing."
| قُلْتُ لِلرَّبِّ: «أَنْتَ سَيِّدِي. خَيْرِي لَا شَيْءَ غَيْرُكَ». | ٢ |
3 As for the holy ones who are in the land, they are the excellent ones in whom is all my delight.
| ٱلْقِدِّيسُونَ ٱلَّذِينَ فِي ٱلْأَرْضِ وَٱلْأَفَاضِلُ كُلُّ مَسَرَّتِي بِهِمْ. | ٣ |
4 Their sorrows will multiply who pay a dowry for another. Their drink offerings of blood I will not offer, nor take their names on my lips.
| تَكْثُرُ أَوْجَاعُهُمُ ٱلَّذِينَ أَسْرَعُوا وَرَاءَ آخَرَ. لَا أَسْكُبُ سَكَائِبَهُمْ مِنْ دَمٍ، وَلَا أَذْكُرُ أَسْمَاءَهُمْ بِشَفَتَيَّ. | ٤ |
5 YHWH is the portion of my inheritance and my cup. You made my lot secure.
| ٱلرَّبُّ نَصِيبُ قِسْمَتِي وَكَأْسِي. أَنْتَ قَابِضُ قُرْعَتِي. | ٥ |
6 The lines have fallen to me in pleasant places. Yes, beautiful is my inheritance.
| حِبَالٌ وَقَعَتْ لِي فِي ٱلنُّعَمَاءِ، فَٱلْمِيرَاثُ حَسَنٌ عِنْدِي. | ٦ |
7 I will bless YHWH, who has given me counsel. Yes, my heart instructs me in the night seasons.
| أُبَارِكُ ٱلرَّبَّ ٱلَّذِي نَصَحَنِي، وَأَيْضًا بِٱللَّيْلِ تُنْذِرُنِي كُلْيَتَايَ. | ٧ |
8 I have put YHWH before me at all times. Because he is at my right hand I will never be upended.
| جَعَلْتُ ٱلرَّبَّ أَمَامِي فِي كُلِّ حِينٍ، لِأَنَّهُ عَنْ يَمِينِي فَلَا أَتَزَعْزَعُ. | ٨ |
9 Therefore my heart is glad, and my tongue rejoices. My body shall also dwell in safety.
| لِذَلِكَ فَرِحَ قَلْبِي، وَٱبْتَهَجَتْ رُوحِي. جَسَدِي أَيْضًا يَسْكُنُ مُطْمَئِنًّا. | ٩ |
10 For you will not abandon my soul in Sheol, neither will you allow your Holy One to see decay. (Sheol h7585)
| لِأَنَّكَ لَنْ تَتْرُكَ نَفْسِي فِي ٱلْهَاوِيَةِ. لَنْ تَدَعَ تَقِيَّكَ يَرَى فَسَادًا. (Sheol h7585) | ١٠ |
11 You make known to me the path of life. In your presence is fullness of joy. In your right hand there are pleasures forevermore.
| تُعَرِّفُنِي سَبِيلَ ٱلْحَيَاةِ. أَمَامَكَ شِبَعُ سُرُورٍ. فِي يَمِينِكَ نِعَمٌ إِلَى ٱلْأَبَدِ. | ١١ |
