Psalms 147
1 Praise JAH, for it is good to sing praises to our God; for it is pleasant and fitting to praise him.
੧ਹਲਲੂਯਾਹ! ਸਾਡੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਭਜਨ ਗਾਉਣਾ ਤਾਂ ਭਲਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸਤਤ ਕਰਨਾ ਮਨ ਭਾਉਣਾ ਤੇ ਸੋਹਣਾ ਹੈ!
2 YHWH builds up Jerusalem. He gathers together the outcasts of Israel.
੨ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਨੂੰ ਉਸਾਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਦੇਸੋਂ ਕੱਢਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਕੱਠਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
3 He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds.
੩ਉਹ ਟੁੱਟੇ ਦਿਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਚੰਗਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਸੋਗਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਪੱਟੀ ਬੰਨ੍ਹਦਾ ਹੈ।
4 He counts the number of the stars. He calls them all by their names.
੪ਉਹ ਤਾਰਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਬੁਲਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
5 Great is our Lord, and mighty in power. His understanding is infinite.
੫ਸਾਡਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਮਹਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਸ਼ਕਤੀਮਾਨ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਦੀ ਸਮਝ ਦਾ ਕੋਈ ਪਾਰਾਵਾਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ।
6 YHWH upholds the humble. He brings the wicked down to the ground.
੬ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਮਸਕੀਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਭਾਲਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਦੁਸ਼ਟਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਧਰਤੀ ਤੱਕ ਨਿਵਾ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
7 Sing to YHWH with thanksgiving. Sing praises on the harp to our God,
੭ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਨਾਲ ਉੱਤਰ ਦਿਓ, ਸਾਡੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਲਈ ਬਰਬਤ ਨਾਲ ਭਜਨ ਗਾਓ,
8 who covers the sky with clouds, who prepares rain for the earth, who makes grass grow on the mountains.
੮ਜਿਹੜਾ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਬੱਦਲਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਢੱਕਦਾ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਲਈ ਮੀਂਹ ਤਿਆਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਪਹਾੜਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਘਾਹ ਉਗਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
9 He provides food for the livestock, and for the young ravens when they call.
੯ਉਹ ਡੰਗਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਅਹਾਰ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਨਾਲੇ ਕਾਂਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਦ ਉਹ ਪੁਕਾਰਦੇ ਹਨ।
10 He doesn't delight in the strength of the horse. He takes no pleasure in the legs of a man.
੧੦ਨਾ ਘੋੜੇ ਦੇ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਹ ਖੁਸ਼ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਨਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੀਆਂ ਲੱਤਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਰੀਝਦਾ ਹੈ।
11 YHWH takes pleasure in those who fear him, in those who hope in his loving kindness.
੧੧ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਭੈਅ ਮੰਨਣ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਰੀਝਦਾ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਦਯਾ ਦੀ ਆਸਵੰਦਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਵੀ।
12 Praise YHWH, Jerusalem. Praise your God, Zion.
੧੨ਹੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਜਸ ਗਾ, ਹੇ ਸੀਯੋਨ, ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਉਸਤਤ ਕਰ!
13 For he has strengthened the bars of your gates. He has blessed your children within you.
੧੩ਉਹ ਨੇ ਤਾਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਫਾਟਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਅਰਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤਕੜਾ ਕੀਤਾ, ਉਹ ਨੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਤੇਰੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਰਕਤ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ।
14 He makes peace in your borders. He fills you with the finest of the wheat.
੧੪ਉਹ ਤੇਰੀਆਂ ਹੱਦਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੁਲਾਹ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਮੈਦੇ ਵਾਲੀ ਕਣਕ ਨਾਲ ਰਜਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
15 He sends out his commandment to the earth. His word runs very swiftly.
੧੫ਉਹ ਆਪਣਾ ਹੁਕਮ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਭੇਜਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਦਾ ਬਚਨ ਬਹੁਤ ਤੇਜ ਦੌੜਦਾ ਹੈ।
16 He gives snow like wool, and scatters frost like ashes.
੧੬ਉਹ ਬਰਫ਼ ਉੱਨ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਪਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਕੱਕਰ ਸੁਆਹ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਖਿੰਡਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
17 He hurls down his hail like pebbles. Who can stand before his cold?
੧੭ਉਹ ਆਪਣੀ ਬਰਫ਼ ਨੂੰ ਟੁੱਕੜੇ-ਟੁੱਕੜੇ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਸੁੱਟਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਦੇ ਪਾਲੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਕੌਣ ਖੜ੍ਹਾ ਰਹਿ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ?
18 He sends out his word, and melts them. He causes his wind to blow, and the waters flow.
੧੮ਉਹ ਆਪਣਾ ਹੁਕਮ ਭੇਜ ਕੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਿਘਲਾ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਆਪਣੀ ਪੌਣ ਚਲਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਪਾਣੀ ਵਗ ਪੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
19 He shows his word to Jacob; his statutes and his ordinances to Israel.
੧੯ਉਹ ਯਾਕੂਬ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੁਕਮ, ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਬਿਧੀਆਂ ਤੇ ਨਿਆਂ ਦੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ।
20 He has not done this for just any nation. They do not know his ordinances. Praise JAH.
੨੦ਉਹ ਨੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਕੌਮ ਨਾਲ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ, ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਨਿਆਂਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਜਾਣਿਆ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ। ਹਲਲੂਯਾਹ!
