Psalms 132

1 [A Song of Ascents.] YHWH, remember David and all his affliction,

2 how he swore to YHWH, and vowed to the Mighty One of Jacob:

3 "Surely I will not come into the structure of my house, nor go up into my bed;

4 I will not give sleep to my eyes, or slumber to my eyelids;

5 until I find out a place for YHWH, a dwelling for the Mighty One of Jacob."

Kaeʻoua ke u ʻilo ha potu moʻo Sihova, ko e ʻafioʻanga ki he ʻOtua mālohi ʻo Sēkope.”

6 Look, we heard of it in Ephrathah. We found it in the field of Jaar:

Vakai, naʻa tau fanongo ki ai ʻi ʻEfalata: pea naʻa tau ʻilo ia ʻi he ngaahi ngoue ʻoe vao.

7 "We will go into his dwelling place. We will worship at his footstool.

“Te tau hū ki hono ngaahi fale fehikitaki: te tau lotu ʻi hono tuʻunga vaʻe.”

8 Arise, YHWH, to your resting place, you and the ark of your strength.

9 Let your priest be clothed with righteousness. Let your faithful ones shout for joy."

10 For your servant David's sake, do not turn away the face of your anointed one.

11 YHWH has sworn to David in truth. He will not turn from it: "I will set the fruit of your body on your throne.

12 If your children will keep my covenant, my testimony that I will teach them, their children also will sit on your throne forevermore."

Kapau ʻe fai ʻe hoʻo fānau ki heʻeku fuakava mo ʻeku fakamoʻoni ʻaia te u ako kiate kinautolu, ʻe nofo foki ʻenau fānau ʻi ho nofoʻa fakaʻeiʻeiki ʻo lauikuonga.”

13 For YHWH has chosen Zion; he has desired it for his dwelling.

14 "This is my resting place forever. Here I will live, for I have desired it.

15 I will abundantly bless her provision. I will satisfy her poor with bread.

Ko e moʻoni te u tāpuaki lahi hono meʻakai: te u fakamākona ʻa hono kau masiva ʻaki ʻae mā.

16 Her priests I will also clothe with salvation. Her faithful ones will shout aloud for joy.

Te u fakakofu foki ʻene kau taulaʻeiki ʻaki ʻae fakamoʻui: pea ko ʻene kau māʻoniʻoni tenau kalanga ʻo leʻo lahi ʻi he fiefia.

17 There I will make the horn of David to bud. I have ordained a lamp for my anointed.

Te u ngaohi ke moto ai ʻae nifo ʻo Tevita: kuo u tuʻutuʻuni ʻae maama ʻa ʻeku pani.

18 I will clothe his enemies with shame, but on himself, his crown will be resplendent."

Te u fakakofuʻaki hono ngaahi fili ʻae mā: ka ʻe maʻuiʻui ʻa hono tatā ʻiate ia.”
