Psalms 122

1 [A Song of Ascents. By David.] I was glad when they said to me, "Let's go to YHWH's house."

١ تَرْنِيمَةُ الْمَصَاعِدِ فَرِحْتُ بِالْقَائِلِينَ لِي: لِنَذْهَبْ مَعاً إِلَى بَيْتِ الرَّبِّ.

2 Our feet are standing within your gates, Jerusalem;

٢ تَقِفُ أَقْدَامُنَا الآنَ دَاخِلَ أَبْوَابِكِ يَا أُورُشَلِيمُ.

3 Jerusalem, that is built as a city that is joined together;

٣ أُورُشَلِيمُ الْمَبْنِيَّةُ كَمَدِينَةٍ مُتَمَاسِكَةٍ مُتَّحِدَةٍ.

4 where the tribes go up, even the tribes of JAH, according to an ordinance for Israel, to give thanks to the name of YHWH.

٤ إِلَيْهَا صَعِدَتِ الأَسْبَاطُ، أَسْبَاطُ الرَّبِّ لِتَرْفَعَ الشُّكْرَ لَهُ بِحَسَبِ أَوَامِرِهِ.

5 For there are set thrones for judgment, the thrones of David's house.

٥ هُنَاكَ نُصِبَتْ عُرُوشُ الْقَضَاءِ، عُرُوشُ آلِ دَاوُدَ.

6 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem. Those who love you will prosper.

٦ صَلُّوا لأَجْلِ سَلامِ أُورُشَلِيمَ. لِيُفْلِحْ مُحِبُّوكِ وَيَطْمَئِنُّوا.

7 Peace be within your walls, and prosperity within your palaces.

٧ لِيَكُنِ السَّلامُ دَاخِلَ أَسْوَارِكِ، وَالأَمَانُ دَاخِلَ قُصُورِكِ.

8 For my brothers' and companions' sakes, I will now say, "Peace be within you."

٨ مِنْ أَجْلِ إِخْوَتِي وَأَصْحَابِي أَقُولُ: لِيَسُدْ فِيكِ سَلامٌ.

9 For the sake of the house of YHWH our God, I will seek your good.

٩ مِنْ أَجْلِ الرَّبِّ إِلَهِنَا أَلْتَمِسُ لَكِ خَيْراً.
