Psalms 104
1 Bless YHWH, my soul. YHWH, my God, you are very great. You are clothed with splendor and majesty.
Segne, Jehovah, meine Seele! Jehovah, mein Gott, Du bist sehr groß. Majestät und Ehre hast Du angezogen!
2 He covers himself with light as with a garment. He stretches out the heavens like a curtain.
Er umhüllt Sich mit Licht wie mit einem Gewand, Er spannt die Himmel aus wie einen Teppich.
3 He lays the beams of his chambers in the waters. He makes the clouds his chariot. He walks on the wings of the wind.
Er zimmert mit Wassern Seine Söller, setzt dichte Wolken zu Seinem Wagen und geht auf den Flügeln des Windes einher.
4 He makes his angels winds, and his servants flames of fire.
Er macht zu Seinen Boten die Winde, zu Seinen Dienern flammend Feuer.
5 He laid the foundations of the earth, that it should not be moved forever and ever.
Er hat die Erde auf ihre Grundlagen gegründet, daß sie nicht wankt in Ewigkeit und immerfort.
6 You covered it with the deep as with a cloak. The waters stood above the mountains.
Mit dem Abgrund hast Du sie bedeckt, wie mit einem Anzug; die Wasser stehen auf den Bergen.
7 At your rebuke they fled. At the voice of your thunder they hurried away.
Vor Deinem Drohen fliehen sie, enteilen vor der Stimme Deines Donners.
8 The mountains rose, the valleys sank down, to the place which you had assigned to them.
Die Berge steigen auf, die Talgründe sinken hernieder zum Ort, den Du für sie gegründet hast.
9 You have set a boundary that they may not pass over; that they do not turn again to cover the earth.
Du setztest eine Grenze, die sie nicht überschreiten; sie kehren nicht zurück, die Erde zu bedecken.
10 He sends forth springs into the valleys. They run among the mountains.
Er sendet Quellen in die Bachtäler; zwischen den Bergen gehen sie.
11 They give drink to every animal of the field. The wild donkeys quench their thirst.
Sie tränken alle wilden Tiere des Gefildes; Waldesel löschen ihren Durst.
12 The birds of the sky nest by them; among the branches they give forth a sound.
Des Himmels Gevögel wohnen an ihnen, aus dem Gezweig geben sie ihre Stimme hervor.
13 He waters the mountains from his chambers. The earth is filled with the fruit of your works.
Von Seinen Söllern aus tränkt Er die Berge, von Seiner Werke Frucht wird satt die Erde;
14 He causes the grass to grow for the livestock, and plants for man to cultivate, that he may bring forth food out of the earth:
Er läßt Gras sprossen für das Vieh und Kraut zum Dienst des Menschen, damit er Brot herausbringe aus der Erde.
15 wine that makes glad the heart of man, oil to make his face to shine, and bread that strengthens man's heart.
Und Wein macht fröhlich des Menschen Herz; daß von Öl sein Antlitz glänze und Brot das Herz des Menschen labe.
16 YHWH's trees are well watered, the cedars of Lebanon, which he has planted;
Jehovahs Bäume werden satt, die Zedern Libanons, die Er gepflanzt.
17 where the birds make their nests. The stork makes its home in the fir trees.
Daselbst nisten die Vögel; der Storch hat sein Haus auf Tannen.
18 The high mountains are for the wild goats. The rocks are a refuge for the rock badgers.
Die hohen Berge sind der Gemsen, der Kaninchen Schirm die Felsenklippen.
19 He appointed the moon for seasons. The sun knows when to set.
Er hat den Mond gemacht für die bestimmten Festzeiten, die Sonne weiß ihren Niedergang.
20 You make darkness, and it is night, in which all the animals of the forest prowl.
Du setzest Finsternis und es wird Nacht; da kriechen hervor alle wilden Tiere des Waldes.
21 The young lions roar after their prey, and seek their food from God.
Die jungen Löwen brüllen nach dem Zerfleischen, und suchen von Gott ihre Speise.
22 The sun rises, and they steal away, and lie down in their dens.
Die Sonne geht auf, sie sammeln sich und lagern sich in ihren Wohnstätten.
23 Man goes forth to his work, to his labor until the evening.
Der Mensch geht aus an sein Werk, und zu seinem Dienst bis an den Abend.
24 YHWH, how many are your works. In wisdom have you made them all. The earth is full of your riches.
Wie viel sind Deiner Werke, o Jehovah, sie alle hast mit Weisheit Du gemacht. Voll ist die Erde Deines Besitztums.
25 There is the sea, great and wide, in which are innumerable living things, both small and large animals.
Da ist das Meer, groß und weit zu beiden Händen, dort sind Kriechtiere auch ohne Zahl, kleine Getiere und große.
26 There the ships go, and leviathan, whom you formed to play there.
Da gehen Schiffe, der Leviathan, den Du gebildet, um darin zu scherzen.
27 All of them look to you to give them their food at the proper time.
Sie alle warten auf Dich, daß Du ihnen ihre Speise gebest zu seiner Zeit.
28 You give to them; they gather. You open your hand; they are satisfied with good.
Du gibst ihnen, sie lesen auf, Du tust Deine Hand auf, sie werden mit Gutem gesättigt.
29 You hide your face: they are troubled; you take away their breath: they die, and return to the dust.
Du verbirgst Dein Angesicht, sie sind bestürzt, Du raffst ihren Geist weg, sie verscheiden und kehren zu ihrem Staub zurück.
30 You send forth your Spirit: they are created. You renew the face of the ground.
Sendest Du Deinen Geist aus, sind sie geschaffen, und Du erneuerst das Angesicht des Bodens.
31 Let the glory of YHWH endure forever. Let YHWH rejoice in his works.
Jehovahs Herrlichkeit sei in Ewigkeit. Es sei fröhlich Jehovah in Seinen Werken.
32 He looks at the earth, and it trembles. He touches the mountains, and they smoke.
Er blickt zur Erde, und sie bebt. Er rührt die Berge an, und sie rauchen.
33 I will sing to YHWH all my life. I will sing praise to my God as long as I exist.
In meinem Leben will ich Jehovah singen, will Psalmen singen meinem Gott, weil ich bin.
34 Let your meditation be sweet to him. I will rejoice in YHWH.
Es möge Ihm genehm sein mein Nachsinnen! Ich will fröhlich sein in Jehovah.
35 Let sinners be consumed out of the earth. Let the wicked be no more. Bless YHWH, my soul. Praise JAH.
Möchten die Sünder ein Ende nehmen von der Erde, und die Ungerechten nicht mehr sein! Segne Jehovah, meine Seele! Hallelujah!
