Psalms 10

1 Why do you stand far off, YHWH? Why do you hide yourself in times of trouble?

١ يَارَبُّ، لِمَاذَا تَقِفُ بَعِيدًا؟ لِمَاذَا تَخْتَفِي فِي أَزْمِنَةِ ٱلضِّيقِ؟

2 In arrogance, the wicked hunt down the weak. They are caught in the schemes that they devise.

٢ فِي كِبْرِيَاءِ ٱلشِّرِّيرِ يَحْتَرِقُ ٱلْمِسْكِينُ. يُؤْخَذُونَ بِٱلْمُؤَامَرَةِ ٱلَّتِي فَكَّرُوا بِهَا.

3 For the wicked boasts of his heart's cravings, and he blesses the greedy, scorning YHWH.

٣ لِأَنَّ ٱلشِّرِّيرَ يَفْتَخِرُ بِشَهَوَاتِ نَفْسِهِ، وَٱلْخَاطِفُ يُجَدِّفُ. يُهِينُ ٱلرَّبَّ.

4 The wicked in his proud countenance does not seek. All his thoughts are "There is no God."

٤ ٱلشِّرِّيرُ حَسَبَ تَشَامُخِ أَنْفِهِ يَقُولُ: «لَا يُطَالِبُ». كُلُّ أَفْكَارِهِ أَنَّهُ لَا إِلَهَ.

5 His ways are firm at all times. Your judgments are turned aside. As for all his adversaries, he sneers at them.

٥ تَثْبُتُ سُبْلُهُ فِي كُلِّ حِينٍ. عَالِيَةٌ أَحْكَامُكَ فَوْقَهُ. كُلُّ أَعْدَائِهِ يَنْفُثُ فِيهِمْ.

6 He says in his heart, "I shall not be shaken. From generation to generation I shall not experience calamity."

٦ قَالَ فِي قَلْبِهِ: «لَا أَتَزَعْزَعُ. مِنْ دَوْرٍ إِلَى دَوْرٍ بِلَا سُوءٍ».

7 His mouth is full of cursing and bitterness and oppression. Under his tongue is mischief and iniquity.

٧ فَمُهُ مَمْلُوءٌ لَعْنَةً وَغِشًّا وَظُلْمًا. تَحْتَ لِسَانِهِ مَشَقَّةٌ وَإِثْمٌ.

8 He lies in wait near the villages. From ambushes, he murders the innocent. His eyes are secretly set against the helpless.

٨ يَجْلِسُ فِي مَكْمَنِ ٱلدِّيَارِ، فِي ٱلْمُخْتَفَيَاتِ يَقْتُلُ ٱلْبَرِيَّ. عَيْنَاهُ تُرَاقِبَانِ ٱلْمِسْكِينَ.

9 He lurks in secret as a lion in his ambush. He lies in wait to catch the helpless. He catches the helpless, when he draws him in his net.

٩ يَكْمُنُ فِي ٱلْمُخْتَفَى كَأَسَدٍ فِي عِرِّيسِهِ. يَكْمُنُ لِيَخْطَفَ ٱلْمِسْكِينَ. يَخْطَفُ ٱلْمِسْكِينَ بِجَذْبِهِ فِي شَبَكَتِهِ،

10 The helpless are crushed. They collapse. They fall under his strength.

١٠ فَتَنْسَحِقُ وَتَنْحَنِي وَتَسْقُطُ ٱلْمَسَاكِينُ بِبَرَاثِنِهِ.

11 He says in his heart, "God has forgotten. He hides his face. He will never see it."

١١ قَالَ فِي قَلْبِهِ: «إِنَّ ٱللهَ قَدْ نَسِيَ. حَجَبَ وَجْهَهُ. لَا يَرَى إِلَى ٱلْأَبَدِ».

12 Arise, YHWH. God, lift up your hand. Do not forget the helpless.

١٢ قُمْ يَارَبُّ. يَا ٱللهُ ٱرْفَعْ يَدَكَ. لَا تَنْسَ ٱلْمَسَاكِينَ.

13 Why does the wicked person condemn God, and say in his heart, "You will not seek (an accounting)."

١٣ لِمَاذَا أَهَانَ ٱلشِّرِّيرُ ٱللهَ؟ لِمَاذَا قَالَ فِي قَلْبِهِ: «لَا تُطَالِبُ»؟

14 But you do see trouble and grief. You consider it to take it into your hand. You help the victim and the fatherless.

١٤ قَدْ رَأَيْتَ. لِأَنَّكَ تُبْصِرُ ٱلْمَشَقَّةَ وَٱلْغَمَّ لِتُجَازِيَ بِيَدِكَ. إِلَيْكَ يُسَلِّمُ ٱلْمِسْكِينُ أَمْرَهُ. أَنْتَ صِرْتَ مُعِينَ ٱلْيَتِيمِ.

15 Break the arm of the wicked. As for the evil man, seek out his wickedness until you find none.

١٥ اِحْطِمْ ذِرَاعَ ٱلْفَاجِرِ. وَٱلشِّرِّيرُ تَطْلُبُ شَرَّهُ وَلَا تَجِدُهُ.

16 YHWH is King forever and ever. The nations have perished from his land.

١٦ ٱلرَّبُّ مَلِكٌ إِلَى ٱلدَّهْرِ وَٱلْأَبَدِ. بَادَتِ ٱلْأُمَمُ مِنْ أَرْضِهِ.

17 YHWH, you have heard the desire of the humble. You will prepare their heart. You will cause your ear to hear,

١٧ تَأَوُّهَ ٱلْوُدَعَاءِ قَدْ سَمِعْتَ يَارَبُّ. تُثَبِّتُ قُلُوبَهُمْ. تُمِيلُ أُذُنَكَ

18 to judge the fatherless and the oppressed, that man who is of the earth may terrify no more.

١٨ لِحَقِّ ٱلْيَتِيمِ وَٱلْمُنْسَحِقِ، لِكَيْ لَا يَعُودَ أَيْضًا يَرْعَبُهُمْ إِنْسَانٌ مِنَ ٱلْأَرْضِ.
