< Proverbs 31 >

1 The words of king Lemuel; the oracle which his mother taught him.
Nawa mawu a mfumu Lemueli wa ku Massa amene anamuphunzitsa amayi ake:
2 "Oh, my son. Oh, son of my womb. Oh, son of my vows.
Nʼchiyani mwana wanga? Nʼchiyani mwana wa mʼmimba mwanga? Nʼchiyani iwe mwana wanga amene ndinachita kupempha ndi malumbiro?
3 Do not give your strength to women, nor your ways to that which destroys kings.
Usapereke mphamvu yako kwa akazi. Usamayenda nawo amenewa popeza amawononga ngakhale mafumu.
4 It is not for kings, O Lemuel, it is not for kings to drink wine, or for princes to take strong drink,
Iwe Lemueli si choyenera kwa mafumu, mafumu sayenera kumwa vinyo. Olamulira asamalakalake chakumwa choledzeretsa
5 lest they drink, and forget the decree, and pervert the justice due to anyone who is afflicted.
kuopa kuti akamwa adzayiwala malamulo a dziko, nayamba kukhotetsa zinthu zoyenera anthu osauka.
6 Give strong drink to him who is ready to perish; and wine to the bitter in soul:
Perekani chakumwa choledzeretsa kwa amene ali pafupi kufa, vinyo kwa amene ali pa mavuto woopsa;
7 Let him drink, and forget his poverty, and remember his misery no more.
amwe kuti ayiwale umphawi wawo asakumbukirenso kuvutika kwawo.
8 Open your mouth for the mute, in the cause of all who are left desolate.
Yankhula mʼmalo mwa amene sangathe kudziyankhulira okha. Uwayankhulire anthu onse osiyidwa pa zonse zowayenera.
9 Open your mouth, judge righteously, and serve justice to the poor and needy."
Yankhula ndi kuweruza mwachilungamo. Uwateteze amphawi ndi osauka.
10 Who can find a worthy woman? For her price is far above rubies.
Kodi mkazi wangwiro angathe kumupeza ndani? Ndi wokwera mtengo kuposa miyala yamtengowapatali.
11 The heart of her husband trusts in her. He shall have no lack of gain.
Mtima wa mwamuna wake umamukhulupirira ndipo mwamunayo sasowa phindu.
12 She does him good, and not harm, all the days of her life.
Masiku onse a moyo wake mkaziyo amachitira mwamuna wake zabwino zokhazokha osati zoyipa.
13 She seeks wool and flax, and works eagerly with her hands.
Iye amafunafuna ubweya ndi thonje; amagwira ntchito ndi manja ake mwaufulu.
14 She is like the merchant ships. She brings her bread from afar.
Iye ali ngati sitima zapamadzi za anthu amalonda, amakatenga chakudya chake kutali.
15 She rises also while it is yet night, gives food to her household, and portions for her servant girls.
Iye amadzuka kusanache kwenikweni; ndi kuyamba kukonzera a pa banja pake chakudya ndi kuwagawira ntchito atsikana ake antchito.
16 She considers a field, and buys it. With the fruit of her hands, she plants a vineyard.
Iye amalingalira za munda ndi kuwugula; ndi ndalama zimene wazipeza amalima munda wamphesa.
17 She girds her waist with strength, and makes her arms strong.
Iye amavala zilimbe nagwira ntchito mwamphamvu ndi manja ake.
18 She perceives that her merchandise is profitable. Her lamp doesn't go out by night.
Iye amaona kuti malonda ake ndi aphindu, choncho nyale yake sizima usiku wonse.
19 She lays her hands to the distaff, and her hands hold the spindle.
Iye amadzilukira thonje ndipo yekha amagwira chowombera nsalu.
20 She opens her arms to the poor; yes, she extends her hands to the needy.
Iye amachitira chifundo anthu osauka ndipo amapereka chithandizo kwa anthu osowa.
21 She is not afraid of the snow for her household; for all her household are clothed with scarlet.
Iye saopa kuti banja lake lifa ndi kuzizira pa nyengo yachisanu; pakuti onse amakhala atavala zovala zofunda.
22 She makes for herself carpets of tapestry. Her clothing is fine linen and purple.
Iye amadzipangira yekha zoyala pa bedi pake; amavala zovala zabafuta ndi zapepo.
23 Her husband is respected in the gates, when he sits among the elders of the land.
Mwamuna wake ndi wodziwika pa chipata cha mzinda, ndipo amakhala pakati pa akuluakulu a mʼdzikomo.
24 She makes linen garments and sells them, and delivers sashes to the merchant.
Iye amasoka nsalu zabafuta nazigulitsa; amaperekanso mipango kwa anthu amalonda.
25 Strength and dignity are her clothing. She laughs at the time to come.
Mphamvu ndi ulemu zimakhala ngati chovala chake; ndipo amaseka osaopa zamʼtsogolo.
26 She opens her mouth with wisdom. Faithful instruction is on her tongue.
Iye amayankhula mwanzeru, amaphunzitsa anthu mwachikondi.
27 She looks well to the ways of her household, and doesn't eat the bread of idleness.
Iye amayangʼanira makhalidwe a anthu a pa banja lake ndipo sachita ulesi ndi pangʼono pomwe.
28 Her children rise up and call her blessed. Her husband also praises her:
Ana ake amamunyadira ndipo amamutcha kuti wodala; ndipo mwamuna wake, amamuyamikira nʼkumati,
29 "Many women do noble things, but you excel them all."
“Pali akazi ambiri amene achita zinthu zopambana koma iwe umawaposa onsewa.”
30 Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain; but a woman who fears YHWH, she shall be praised.
Nkhope yachikoka ndi yonyenga, ndipo kukongola nʼkosakhalitsa; koma mkazi amene amaopa Yehova ayenera kutamandidwa.
31 Give her of the fruit of her hands. Let her works praise her in the gates.
Mupatseni mphotho chifukwa cha zimene iye wachita ndipo ntchito zake zimutamande ku mabwalo.
