< Proverbs 19 >

1 Better is the poor who walks in his integrity than he who is perverse in his lips and is a fool.
Mobola oyo atambolaka na bosembo azali malamu koleka mokosi oyo azangi mayele.
2 It isn't good to have zeal without knowledge; nor being hasty with one's feet and missing the way.
Ezali malamu te kobungisa mayele, kati na bolingo oyo eleka ndelo. Lokolo ya moto oyo atambolaka noki-noki ezangaka te kobeta libaku.
3 The foolishness of man subverts his way; his heart rages against YHWH.
Bozoba ya moto ebebisaka bomoi na ye; mpe, na sima, akomaka kotombokela Yawe.
4 Wealth adds many friends, but the poor is separated from his friend.
Mozwi azalaka na baninga ebele, kasi mobola akabwanaka ata na molingami na ye ya motema.
5 A false witness shall not be unpunished. He who pours out lies shall not go free.
Motatoli ya lokuta akozwa etumbu; moto oyo akosaka akozanga te kozwa etumbu.
6 Many will seek the favor of a ruler, and everyone is a friend to a man who gives gifts.
Bato mingi balukaka kosepelisa moto ya lokumu, mpe moto nyonso alukaka kozala molingami ya moto oyo asungaka bato.
7 All the relatives of the poor shun him: how much more do his friends avoid him. He pursues them with pleas, but they are gone.
Soki bandeko nyonso ya mobola bayinaka ye, mpo na nini baninga na ye bakima ye te? Ata tango azali nanu koloba, batikalaka lisusu wana te.
8 He who gets wisdom loves his own soul. He who keeps understanding shall find good.
Moto oyo alukaka kozwa bwanya alingaka bomoi na ye; moto oyo alingaka mayele alongaka.
9 A false witness shall not be unpunished. He who utters lies shall perish.
Motatoli ya lokuta azwaka etumbu; moto oyo akosaka akobebisama.
10 Delicate living is not appropriate for a fool, much less for a servant to have rule over princes.
Bomoi ya lokumu ebongi na zoba te; ebongi mpe te na mowumbu kopesa mitindo na bakambi.
11 The discretion of a man makes him slow to anger. It is his glory to overlook an offense.
Bwanya ya moto ekomisaka ye motema molayi; mpe azwaka lokumu tango atalaka pamba mabe oyo basalaka ye.
12 The king's wrath is like the roaring of a lion, but his favor is like dew on the grass.
Kanda ya mokonzi ezali lokola koganga ya nkosi, kasi bolamu na ye ezali lokola mamwe.
13 A foolish son is the calamity of his father. A wife's quarrels are a continual dripping.
Mwana ya zoba azali pasi mpo na tata na ye; koswana ya mwasi ezali lokola linzanza ya ndako, oyo etangisaka mayi tango nyonso.
14 House and riches are an inheritance from fathers, but a prudent wife is from YHWH.
Moto akoki kozwa bandako mpe bomengo lokola libula kowuta epai ya batata, kasi mwasi ya bwanya azali likabo kowuta na Yawe.
15 Slothfulness casts into a deep sleep. The idle soul shall suffer hunger.
Bogoyigoyi ememaka moto na pongi makasi, mpe moto ya goyigoyi akufaka nzala.
16 He who keeps the commandment keeps his soul, but he who is contemptuous in his ways shall die.
Moto oyo atosaka mibeko abatelaka molimo na ye; moto oyo akebaka te na etamboli na ye akokufa.
17 He who has pity on the poor lends to YHWH; he will reward him.
Moto oyo asalaka bolamu epai ya mobola adefisaka Yawe, bongo Yawe akozongisela ye bolamu.
18 Discipline your son, for there is hope; do not be a willing party to his death.
Pesaka mwana na yo etumbu wana elikya ezali nanu, kasi kotomboka na yo ekoma te kino na posa ya koboma ye.
19 A hot-tempered man must pay the penalty, for if you rescue him, you must do it again.
Tika ete moto oyo asilikaka makasi amema mokumba ya kanda na ye; pamba te soki obikisi ye, okotinda ye ete azongela lisusu.
20 Listen to counsel and receive instruction, that you may be wise in your latter end.
Yoka toli mpe ndima mateya, mpo ete okoma moto ya bwanya.
21 There are many plans in a man's heart, but YHWH's counsel will prevail.
Motema ya moto ezalaka na makanisi ebele, kasi ezali mokano ya Yawe nde ekokisamaka.
22 That which makes a man to be desired is his kindness. A poor man is better than a liar.
Eloko oyo moto alingaka epai ya moninga na ye moto ezali bolingo ya solo, mpe mobola azali malamu koleka mokosi.
23 The fear of YHWH leads to life, then contentment; he rests and will not be touched by trouble.

24 The sluggard buries his hand in the dish; he will not so much as bring it to his mouth again.
Moto ya goyigoyi akotisaka loboko na ye kati na bilei, kasi akokaka te kozongisa yango na monoko na ye.
25 Flog a scoffer, and the simple will learn prudence; rebuke one who has understanding, and he will gain knowledge.
Beta motioli fimbu, mpe zoba akozwa mayele; sembola moto ya mayele, mpe akozwa boyebi.
26 He who robs his father and drives away his mother, is a son who causes shame and brings reproach.
Mwana oyo abetaka tata na ye mpe abenganaka mama na ye ayeisaka soni mpe mawa.
27 If you stop listening to instruction, my son, you will stray from the words of knowledge.
Mwana na ngai, soki otiki koyoka mateya, okobunga nzela ya maloba ya boyebi.
28 A corrupt witness mocks justice, and the mouth of the wicked gulps down iniquity.
Moto oyo atiolaka bosembo azali motatoli ya zoba; mpe monoko ya bato mabe emelaka kaka mabe.
29 Penalties are prepared for scoffers, and beatings for the backs of fools.
Etumbu esalema mpo na batioli, mpe fimbu esalema mpo na bazoba.
