< Proverbs 10 >

1 The proverbs of Solomon. A wise son makes a glad father; but a foolish son brings grief to his mother.
Maahmaahyadii Sulaymaan. Wiilka caqliga lahu aabbihiisuu ka farxiyaa, Laakiinse wiilka nacaska ahu waa u caloolxumo hooyadiis.
2 Treasures of wickedness profit nothing, but righteousness delivers from death.
Qasnadaha sharnimadu faa'iido ma leh, Laakiinse xaqnimada ayaa dhimasho kaa samatabbixisa.
3 YHWH will not allow the soul of the righteous to go hungry, but he thrusts away the desire of the wicked.
Kii xaq ah naftiisu inay gaajooto Rabbigu u oggolaan maayo, Laakiinse doonista kuwa sharka leh ayuu ridaa.
4 He becomes poor who works with a lazy hand, but the hand of the diligent brings wealth.
Kii gacan caajis ah lahu wuu caydhoobaa, Laakiinse kuwa dadaala gacantoodu hodan bay ka dhigtaa.
5 He who gathers in summer is a wise son, but he who sleeps during the harvest is a son who causes shame.
Kii guga wax soo urursadaa waa wiil caqli leh, Laakiinse kii wakhtiga beergooyska seexdaa waa wiil ceeb sameeya.
6 Blessings are on the head of the righteous, but violence covers the mouth of the wicked.
Barako waxay saaran tahay kan xaqa ah madaxiisa, Laakiinse kuwa sharka leh afkooda dulmi baa qariya.
7 The memory of the righteous is blessed, but the name of the wicked will rot.
Kan xaqa ah xusuustiisu barako bay leedahay, Laakiinse kuwa sharka leh magacoodu waa qudhmi doonaa.
8 The wise in heart accept commandments, but a chattering fool will fall.
Kii qalbiga caqli ku lahu amarro buu aqbalaa, Laakiinse kan bushimaha ka nacaska ahu afgembi buu u dhacaa.
9 He who walks blamelessly walks surely, but he who perverts his ways will be found out.
Kii qummanaan ku socdaa ammaan buu ku socdaa; Laakiinse kii jidadkiisa qalqalloociya waa la ogaan doonaa.
10 The one who winks with the eye causes trouble, but the one who boldly rebukes makes peace.
Kii indhaha ku baaqaa murug buu keenaa. Laakiinse kan bushimaha ka nacaska ahu afgembi buu u dhacaa.
11 The mouth of the righteous is a spring of life, but violence covers the mouth of the wicked.
Ninkii xaq ah afkiisu waa il nololeed, Laakiinse kuwa sharka leh afkooda dulmi baa qariya.
12 Hatred stirs up strife, but love covers all wrongs.
Necbaantu waxay kicisaa isqabashada, Laakiinse jacaylku xadgudubyada oo dhan buu qariyaa.
13 Wisdom is found on the lips of him who has discernment, but a rod is for the back of him who is void of understanding.
Kii waxgarasho leh bushimihiisa waxaa laga helaa xigmad, Laakiinse ushu waxay u taal kan garaadka daran dhabarkiisa.
14 Wise men lay up knowledge, but the mouth of the foolish is near ruin.
Dadkii caqli lahu waxay kaydsadaan aqoon, Laakiinse nacaska afkiisu waa baabba' dhow.
15 The rich man's wealth is his strong city. The destruction of the poor is their poverty.
Ninkii hodan ah maalkiisu waa u magaalo xoog leh, Laakiinse masaakiinta caydhnimadoodu waa u baabba'.
16 The labor of the righteous leads to life. The increase of the wicked leads to sin.
Kuwa xaqa ah hawshoodu waxay u waddaa nolol, Laakiinse waxa kan sharka leh u kordhaa, dembi bay u sii kexeeyaan.
17 He is in the way of life who heeds correction, but he who forsakes reproof leads others astray.
Kii edbinta xajistaa wuxuu ku socdaa jidka nolosha, Laakiinse kii canaanta diidaa wuu qaldamaa.
18 He who hides hatred has lying lips. He who utters a slander is a fool.
Kii necbaanta qariyaa wuxuu leeyahay bushimo been badan, Oo kii xanta ku hadlaana waa nacas.
19 In the multitude of words there is no lack of disobedience, but he who restrains his lips does wisely.
Hadal badan dembi lagama waayo, Laakiinse kii bushimihiisa ceshaa caqli buu leeyahay.
20 The tongue of the righteous is like choice silver. The heart of the wicked is of little worth.
Kii xaq ah carrabkiisu waa sida lacag la doortay, Laakiinse kuwa sharka leh qalbigoodu waa qiimo yar yahay.
21 The lips of the righteous feed many, but the foolish die for lack of understanding.
Kii xaq ah bushimahiisu waxay masruufaan kuwa badan, Laakiinse nacasyadu waxgarashola'aantooda ayay u dhintaan.
22 YHWH's blessing brings wealth, and he adds no trouble to it.
Rabbiga barakadiisu hodan bay kaa dhigtaa, Oo isna caloolxumo kuma daro.
23 It is a fool's pleasure to do wickedness, but wisdom is a man of understanding's pleasure.
Nacasku inuu xumaan sameeyo waa u sidii cayaareed, Laakiinse ninka garaadka lahu xigmad buu leeyahay.
24 What the wicked fear, will overtake them, but the desire of the righteous will be granted.
Kii shar leh wuxuu ka cabsado ayaa ku soo dul degi doona, Laakiinse kuwa xaqa ah waxay doonayaan waa la siin doonaa.
25 When the whirlwind passes, the wicked is no more; but the righteous stand firm forever.
Markii dabaysha cirwareenta ahu dhaafto, ka sharka leh mar dambe la arki maayo, Laakiinse kii xaq ahu waa aasaas weligiis waaraya.
26 As vinegar to the teeth, and as smoke to the eyes, so is the sluggard to those who send him.
Khalku siduu ilkaha u yahay, iyo sida qiiqu indhaha u yahay, Ayaa kan caajiska ahu u yahay kuwa isaga dirta.
27 The fear of YHWH prolongs days, but the years of the wicked shall be shortened.
Rabbiga ka cabsashadiisu cimrigay dheeraysaa, Laakiinse kuwa sharka leh cimrigoodu waa soo gaaban doonaa.
28 The prospect of the righteous is joy, but the hope of the wicked will perish.
Kuwa xaqa ah rajadoodu waa farxad, Laakiinse kuwa sharka leh filashadoodu way baabbi'i doontaa.
29 The way of YHWH is a stronghold to the upright, but it is a destruction to evildoers.
Rabbiga jidkiisu waa u qalcad kuwa qumman; Laakiinse xumaanfalayaasha waa u baabba'.
30 The righteous will never be removed, but the wicked will not dwell in the land.
Kan xaqa ah weligiis la dhaqaajin maayo, Laakiinse kuwa sharka lahu dhulka ma fadhiyi doonaan.
31 The mouth of the righteous brings forth wisdom, but the perverse tongue will be cut off.
Kan xaqa ah afkiisa waxaa ka soo baxda xigmad, Laakiinse carrabkii qalloocan waa la gooyn doonaa.
32 The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable, but the mouth of the wicked is perverse.
Kan xaqa ah bushimahiisu waxay yaqaaniin waxa la aqbali karo, Laakiinse kan sharka leh afkiisu qallooc buu ku hadlaa.
