Proverbs 10
1 The proverbs of Solomon. A wise son makes a glad father; but a foolish son brings grief to his mother.
ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನ ಜ್ಞಾನೋಕ್ತಿಗಳು: ಜ್ಞಾನಿಯಾದ ಮಗನು ತಂದೆಗೆ ಸಂತೋಷವನ್ನು ಉಂಟುಮಾಡುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಅಜ್ಞಾನಿಯಾದ ಮಗನಾದರೋ ತನ್ನ ತಾಯಿಗೆ ಶೋಕವನ್ನುಂಟು ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾನೆ.
2 Treasures of wickedness profit nothing, but righteousness delivers from death.
ಅನ್ಯಾಯದ ಸಂಪತ್ತುಗಳು ಶಾಶ್ವತವಲ್ಲ, ಆದರೆ ನೀತಿಯು ಮರಣದಿಂದ ಬಿಡಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.
3 YHWH will not allow the soul of the righteous to go hungry, but he thrusts away the desire of the wicked.
ನೀತಿವಂತನನ್ನು ಹಸಿವೆಯಿಂದ ಬಳಲುವಂತೆ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಬಿಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ; ಆದರೆ ದುಷ್ಟರ ಆಶೆಯನ್ನು ಅವರು ಭಂಗಪಡಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ.
4 He becomes poor who works with a lazy hand, but the hand of the diligent brings wealth.
ಆಲಸ್ಯದ ಕೈ ದರಿದ್ರನನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡುವದು; ಆದರೆ ಚುರುಕಾದ ಕೈ ಐಶ್ವರ್ಯವನ್ನುಂಟು ಮಾಡುತ್ತದೆ.
5 He who gathers in summer is a wise son, but he who sleeps during the harvest is a son who causes shame.
ಬೇಸಿಗೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಫಸಲನ್ನು ಕೂಡಿಸುವವರು ಬುದ್ಧಿವಂತ ಮಕ್ಕಳು, ಸುಗ್ಗಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಿದ್ರೆ ಮಾಡುವವರು ನಾಚಿಕೆಗೆಟ್ಟ ಮಕ್ಕಳು.
6 Blessings are on the head of the righteous, but violence covers the mouth of the wicked.
ನೀತಿವಂತರ ತಲೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಆಶೀರ್ವಾದವಿದೆ; ಆದರೆ ದುಷ್ಟರ ಬಾಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕ್ರೌರ್ಯ ಅಡಗಿದೆ.
7 The memory of the righteous is blessed, but the name of the wicked will rot.
ನೀತಿವಂತರ ಸ್ಮರಣೆಯು ಆಶೀರ್ವಾದಕ್ಕೆ ಆಸ್ಪದ; ಆದರೆ ದುಷ್ಟನ ಹೆಸರು ಕೊಳೆಯುವುದು.
8 The wise in heart accept commandments, but a chattering fool will fall.
ಜ್ಞಾನ ಹೃದಯದವರು ಆಜ್ಞೆಗಳನ್ನು ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸುವರು; ಆದರೆ ಹರಟೆಯ ಮೂರ್ಖನು ಬೀಳುವನು.
9 He who walks blamelessly walks surely, but he who perverts his ways will be found out.
ಯಥಾರ್ಥ ನಡತೆಯವರು ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತವಾಗಿ ಜೀವಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ; ಆದರೆ ವಕ್ರಮಾರ್ಗಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಯುವವನು ಬಯಲಿಗೆ ಬರುವನು.
10 The one who winks with the eye causes trouble, but the one who boldly rebukes makes peace.
ದುರುದ್ದೇಶದಿಂದ ಕಣ್ಣು ಮಿಟಕಿಸುವವನು ದುಃಖವನ್ನು ಉಂಟುಮಾಡುತ್ತಾನೆ, ಆದರೆ ಹರಟೆಯ ಮೂರ್ಖನು ಬೀಳುವನು.
11 The mouth of the righteous is a spring of life, but violence covers the mouth of the wicked.
ನೀತಿವಂತನ ಬಾಯಿಯು ಜೀವದ ಬುಗ್ಗೆ; ಆದರೆ ದುಷ್ಟನ ಬಾಯಿ ಹಿಂಸೆಯನ್ನು ಮರೆಮಾಡುತ್ತದೆ.
12 Hatred stirs up strife, but love covers all wrongs.
ದ್ವೇಷವು ಜಗಳಗಳನ್ನು ಎಬ್ಬಿಸುತ್ತದೆ; ಆದರೆ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಪಾಪಗಳನ್ನು ಮುಚ್ಚುತ್ತದೆ.
13 Wisdom is found on the lips of him who has discernment, but a rod is for the back of him who is void of understanding.
ವಿವೇಕವುಳ್ಳ ತುಟಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಜ್ಞಾನವು ಸಿಕ್ಕುತ್ತದೆ; ವಿವೇಕವಿಲ್ಲದವನ ಬೆನ್ನಿಗೆ ಬೆತ್ತವೇ ಸರಿ.
14 Wise men lay up knowledge, but the mouth of the foolish is near ruin.
ಜ್ಞಾನಿಗಳು ತಿಳುವಳಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಇಟ್ಟುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾರೆ; ಆದರೆ ಮೂರ್ಖನ ಬಾಯಿ ವಿನಾಶವನ್ನು ಆಹ್ವಾನಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.
15 The rich man's wealth is his strong city. The destruction of the poor is their poverty.
ಐಶ್ವರ್ಯವಂತರಿಗೆ ಸಂಪತ್ತೇ ಅವರ ಬಲವಾದ ಕೋಟೆ; ಆದರೆ, ಬಡತನವೇ ಬಡವರ ನಾಶನಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾರಣ.
16 The labor of the righteous leads to life. The increase of the wicked leads to sin.
ನೀತಿವಂತರ ದುಡಿತವು ಜೀವವಾಗುವುದು; ಆದರೆ, ದುಷ್ಟರ ಆದಾಯವು ಪಾಪ ಹಾಗು ಮರಣ.
17 He is in the way of life who heeds correction, but he who forsakes reproof leads others astray.
ಶಿಸ್ತನ್ನು ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳುವವನು ಜೀವದ ಮಾರ್ಗವನ್ನು ತೋರಿಸುವನು; ಆದರೆ ತಿದ್ದುಪಾಟನ್ನು ತಿರಸ್ಕರಿಸುವವನು ಇತರರ ದಾರಿತಪ್ಪಿಸುವನು.
18 He who hides hatred has lying lips. He who utters a slander is a fool.
ದ್ವೇಷವನ್ನು ಮರೆಮಾಚುವವನು ಸುಳ್ಳುಗಾರ ಮತ್ತು ಚಾಡಿ ಹೇಳುವವನು ಮೂರ್ಖನು.
19 In the multitude of words there is no lack of disobedience, but he who restrains his lips does wisely.
ಅತಿಯಾದ ಮಾತುಗಳಿಂದ ಪಾಪವು ಕೊನೆಗೊಳ್ಳುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಆದರೆ ಜ್ಞಾನವಂತನು ತನ್ನ ನಾಲಿಗೆಯನ್ನು ತಡೆಯುವನು.
20 The tongue of the righteous is like choice silver. The heart of the wicked is of little worth.
ನೀತಿವಂತರ ನಾಲಿಗೆಯು ಚೊಕ್ಕಬೆಳ್ಳಿಯಂತಿದೆ; ದುಷ್ಟರ ಹೃದಯವು ಬೆಲೆಯಿಲ್ಲದ್ದು.
21 The lips of the righteous feed many, but the foolish die for lack of understanding.
ನೀತಿವಂತರ ತುಟಿಗಳು ಅನೇಕರನ್ನು ಪೋಷಿಸುತ್ತವೆ, ಜ್ಞಾನದ ಕೊರತೆಯಿಂದ ಬುದ್ಧಿಹೀನರು ಸಾಯುತ್ತಾರೆ.
22 YHWH's blessing brings wealth, and he adds no trouble to it.
ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಆಶೀರ್ವಾದವು ಸಂಪತ್ತನ್ನು ಉಂಟುಮಾಡುವುದು; ಅವರು ಅದರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಯಾವ ದುಃಖವನ್ನೂ ಸೇರಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
23 It is a fool's pleasure to do wickedness, but wisdom is a man of understanding's pleasure.
ಮೂರ್ಖನಿಗೆ ಕೇಡು ಮಾಡುವುದರಲ್ಲಿ ಆನಂದ; ಆದರೆ ತಿಳುವಳಿಕೆಯ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯು ಜ್ಞಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂತೋಷಪಡುತ್ತಾನೆ.
24 What the wicked fear, will overtake them, but the desire of the righteous will be granted.
ದುಷ್ಟನ ಭೀತಿಯೇ ಅವನನ್ನು ಹಿಂದಿಕ್ಕುವುದು; ಆದರೆ ನೀತಿವಂತರ ಇಷ್ಟವು ಸಫಲವಾಗುವುದು.
25 When the whirlwind passes, the wicked is no more; but the righteous stand firm forever.
ಬಿರುಗಾಳಿಯು ಬೀಸಿದರೆ, ದುಷ್ಟರು ಇಲ್ಲವಾಗುವರು; ಆದರೆ ನೀತಿವಂತರು ಶಾಶ್ವತವಾಗಿ ನಿಲ್ಲುವರು.
26 As vinegar to the teeth, and as smoke to the eyes, so is the sluggard to those who send him.
ಹಲ್ಲುಗಳಿಗೆ ಹುಳಿಯೂ, ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳಿಗೆ ಹೊಗೆಯೂ ಹೇಗೋ, ಯಜಮಾನನಿಗೆ ಸೋಮಾರಿಯು ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಇರುವನು.
27 The fear of YHWH prolongs days, but the years of the wicked shall be shortened.
ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಭಯವು ಜೀವನದ ದಿನಗಳನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸುತ್ತದೆ; ದುಷ್ಟರ ವರ್ಷಗಳು ಕಡಿಮೆ ಆಗುವವು.
28 The prospect of the righteous is joy, but the hope of the wicked will perish.
ನೀತಿವಂತರ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷೆಯು ಆನಂದಕರವಾಗಿರುವುದು; ಆದರೆ ದುಷ್ಟರ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷೆಯು ನಾಶವಾಗುವುದು.
29 The way of YHWH is a stronghold to the upright, but it is a destruction to evildoers.
ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಮಾರ್ಗವು ನಿರ್ದೋಷಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಆಶ್ರಯವಾಗಿದೆ; ಆದರೆ ಕೇಡು ಮಾಡುವವರಿಗೆ ಅದು ವಿನಾಶಕರವಾಗಿದೆ.
30 The righteous will never be removed, but the wicked will not dwell in the land.
ನೀತಿವಂತರು ಎಂದಿಗೂ ಕದಲುವುದೇ ಇಲ್ಲ; ಆದರೆ ದುಷ್ಟರು ಭೂಮಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಲ್ಲುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
31 The mouth of the righteous brings forth wisdom, but the perverse tongue will be cut off.
ನೀತಿವಂತರ ಬಾಯಲ್ಲಿ ಜ್ಞಾನವು ಫಲಿಸುತ್ತದೆ; ಆದರೆ ಮೂರ್ಖನ ನಾಲಿಗೆಯು ಕತ್ತರಿಸಲಾಗುವುದು.
32 The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable, but the mouth of the wicked is perverse.
ಯೋಗ್ಯವಾದದ್ದು ಯಾವುದೆಂದು ನೀತಿವಂತರ ತುಟಿಗಳಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಯುವುದು, ಆದರೆ, ದುಷ್ಟರ ಬಾಯಿ ಮೂರ್ಖತನವನ್ನೇ ಹೊರಗೆಡವುದು.
