Philippians 2
1 If there is therefore any exhortation in Christ, if any consolation of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any tender mercies and compassion,
ख्रीष्टाद् यदि किमपि सान्त्वनं कश्चित् प्रेमजातो हर्षः किञ्चिद् आत्मनः समभागित्वं काचिद् अनुकम्पा कृपा वा जायते तर्हि यूयं ममाह्लादं पूरयन्त
2 make my joy full, by being like-minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind;
एकभावा एकप्रेमाण एकमनस एकचेष्टाश्च भवत।
3 doing nothing through rivalry or through conceit, but in humility, each counting others better than himself;
विरोधाद् दर्पाद् वा किमपि मा कुरुत किन्तु नम्रतया स्वेभ्योऽपरान् विशिष्टान् मन्यध्वं।
4 each of you not just looking to his own things, but each of you also to the things of others.
केवलम् आत्महिताय न चेष्टमानाः परहितायापि चेष्टध्वं।
5 Have this in your attitude, which was also in Christ Jesus,
ख्रीष्टस्य यीशो र्यादृशः स्वभावो युष्माकम् अपि तादृशो भवतु।
6 who, existing in the form of God, did not consider equality with God a thing to be grasped,
स ईश्वररूपी सन् स्वकीयाम् ईश्वरतुल्यतां श्लाघास्पदं नामन्यत,
7 but emptied himself, taking the form of a servant, being made in the likeness of men.
किन्तु स्वं शून्यं कृत्वा दासरूपी बभूव नराकृतिं लेभे च।
8 And being found in human form, he humbled himself, becoming obedient to death, yes, the death of the cross.
इत्थं नरमूर्त्तिम् आश्रित्य नम्रतां स्वीकृत्य मृत्योरर्थतः क्रुशीयमृत्योरेव भोगायाज्ञाग्राही बभूव।
9 Therefore God also highly exalted him, and gave to him the name which is above every name;
तत्कारणाद् ईश्वरोऽपि तं सर्व्वोन्नतं चकार यच्च नाम सर्व्वेषां नाम्नां श्रेष्ठं तदेव तस्मै ददौ,
10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, those on earth, and those under the earth,
ततस्तस्मै यीशुनाम्ने स्वर्गमर्त्यपातालस्थितैः सर्व्वै र्जानुपातः कर्त्तव्यः,
11 and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
तातस्थेश्वरस्य महिम्ने च यीशुख्रीष्टः प्रभुरिति जिह्वाभिः स्वीकर्त्तव्यं।
12 So then, my beloved, even as you have always obeyed, not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with awe and reverence.
अतो हे प्रियतमाः, युष्माभि र्यद्वत् सर्व्वदा क्रियते तद्वत् केवले ममोपस्थितिकाले तन्नहि किन्त्विदानीम् अनुपस्थितेऽपि मयि बहुतरयत्नेनाज्ञां गृहीत्वा भयकम्पाभ्यां स्वस्वपरित्राणं साध्यतां।
13 For it is God who works in you both to will and to work, for his good pleasure.
यत ईश्वर एव स्वकीयानुरोधाद् युष्मन्मध्ये मनस्कामनां कर्म्मसिद्धिञ्च विदधाति।
14 Do everything without complaining or arguing,
यूयं कलहविवादर्विजतम् आचारं कुर्व्वन्तोऽनिन्दनीया अकुटिला
15 that you may become blameless and pure, children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you are seen as lights in the world,
ईश्वरस्य निष्कलङ्काश्च सन्तानाइव वक्रभावानां कुटिलाचारिणाञ्च लोकानां मध्ये तिष्ठत,
16 holding up the word of life; that I may have something to boast in the day of Christ, that I did not run in vain nor labor in vain.
यतस्तेषां मध्ये यूयं जीवनवाक्यं धारयन्तो जगतो दीपका इव दीप्यध्वे। युष्माभिस्तथा कृते मम यत्नः परिश्रमो वा न निष्फलो जात इत्यहं ख्रीष्टस्य दिने श्लाघां कर्त्तुं शक्ष्यामि।
17 Yes, and if I am poured out on the sacrifice and service of your faith, I rejoice, and rejoice with you all.
युष्माकं विश्वासार्थकाय बलिदानाय सेवनाय च यद्यप्यहं निवेदितव्यो भवेयं तथापि तेनानन्दामि सर्व्वेषां युष्माकम् आनन्दस्यांशी भवामि च।
18 In the same way, you also rejoice, and rejoice with me.
तद्वद् यूयमप्यानन्दत मदीयानन्दस्यांशिनो भवत च।
19 But I hope in the Lord Jesus to send Timothy to you soon, that I also may be cheered up when I know how you are doing.
युष्माकम् अवस्थाम् अवगत्याहमपि यत् सान्त्वनां प्राप्नुयां तदर्थं तीमथियं त्वरया युष्मत्समीपं प्रेषयिष्यामीति प्रभौ प्रत्याशां कुर्व्वे।
20 For I have no one else like-minded, who will truly care about you.
यः सत्यरूपेण युष्माकं हितं चिन्तयति तादृश एकभावस्तस्मादन्यः कोऽपि मम सन्निधौ नास्ति।
21 For they all seek their own, not the things of Jesus Christ.
यतोऽपरे सर्व्वे यीशोः ख्रीष्टस्य विषयान् न चिन्तयन्त आत्मविषयान् चिन्तयन्ति।
22 But you know the proof of him, that, as a child serves a father, so he served with me in furtherance of the Good News.
किन्तु तस्य परीक्षितत्वं युष्माभि र्ज्ञायते यतः पुत्रो यादृक् पितुः सहकारी भवति तथैव सुसंवादस्य परिचर्य्यायां स मम सहकारी जातः।
23 Therefore I hope to send him at once, as soon as I see how it will go with me.
अतएव मम भाविदशां ज्ञात्वा तत्क्षणात् तमेव प्रेषयितुं प्रत्याशां कुर्व्वे
24 But I trust in the Lord that I myself also will come shortly.
स्वयम् अहमपि तूर्णं युष्मत्समीपं गमिष्यामीत्याशां प्रभुना कुर्व्वे।
25 But I counted it necessary to send to you Epaphroditus, my brother, fellow worker, fellow soldier, and your apostle and servant of my need;
अपरं य इपाफ्रदीतो मम भ्राता कर्म्मयुद्धाभ्यां मम सहायश्च युष्माकं दूतो मदीयोपकाराय प्रतिनिधिश्चास्ति युष्मत्समीपे तस्य प्रेषणम् आवश्यकम् अमन्ये।
26 since he longed for you all, and was very troubled, because you had heard that he was sick.
यतः स युष्मान् सर्व्वान् अकाङ्क्षत युष्माभिस्तस्य रोगस्य वार्त्ताश्रावीति बुद्ध्वा पर्य्यशोचच्च।
27 For indeed he was sick, nearly to death, but God had mercy on him; and not on him only, but on me also, that I might not have sorrow on sorrow.
स पीडया मृतकल्पोऽभवदिति सत्यं किन्त्वीश्वरस्तं दयितवान् मम च दुःखात् परं पुनर्दुःखं यन्न भवेत् तदर्थं केवलं तं न दयित्वा मामपि दयितवान्।
28 I have sent him all the more eagerly, therefore, so that when you see him again you may rejoice, and that I may be less anxious.
अतएव यूयं तं विलोक्य यत् पुनरानन्देत ममापि दुःखस्य ह्रासो यद् भवेत् तदर्थम् अहं त्वरया तम् अप्रेषयं।
29 Receive him therefore in the Lord with all joy, and hold such in honor,
अतो यूयं प्रभोः कृते सम्पूर्णेनानन्देन तं गृह्लीत तादृशान् लोकांश्चादरणीयान् मन्यध्वं।
30 because for the work of Christ he came near to death, risking his life to supply that which was lacking in your service toward me.
यतो मम सेवने युष्माकं त्रुटिं पूरयितुं स प्राणान् पणीकृत्य ख्रीष्टस्य कार्य्यार्थं मृतप्रायेऽभवत्।
