Numbers 3
1 Now these are the generations of Aaron and Moses in the day that YHWH spoke with Moses in Mount Sinai.
上主在西乃山上與梅瑟交談的時候，亞郎和梅瑟的後裔如下：
2 These are the names of the sons of Aaron: Nadab the firstborn, and Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.
亞郎兒子的名字是：長子納達布、阿彼胡、厄肋阿匝爾和依塔瑪爾：
3 These are the names of the sons of Aaron, the priests who were anointed, whom he consecrated to minister in the priest's office.
這是亞郎兒子的名字，他們都是受傅的司祭，受祝聖盡司祭之職。
4 Nadab and Abihu died before YHWH, when they offered strange fire before YHWH, in the wilderness of Sinai, and they had no children. Eleazar and Ithamar ministered in the priest's office in the presence of Aaron their father.
納達布和阿彼胡在西乃曠野於上主面前獻了凡火，立即死於上主面前，沒有留下兒子；只有厄肋阿匝爾和依塔瑪爾，在他們父親亞郎面前執行司祭的職務。
5 YHWH spoke to Moses, saying,
上主訓示梅瑟說：「
6 "Bring the tribe of Levi near, and set them before Aaron the priest, that they may minister to him.
叫肋未支派前來，站在亞郎司祭面前，協助他服務。
7 They shall keep his requirements, and the requirements of the whole congregation before the Tent of Meeting, to do the service of the tabernacle.
他們應代亞郎和全會眾，在會眾前盡應盡的義務，在會幕內服役，
8 They shall keep all the furnishings of the Tent of Meeting, and the obligations of the children of Israel, to do the service of the tabernacle.
管理會幕內的一切器具，代以色列子民盡應盡之職，在會幕內服役。
9 You shall give the Levites to Aaron and to his sons. They are wholly given to him on the behalf of the children of Israel.
你應將肋未人全交給亞郎和他的兒子，代以色列子民作亞郎的侍役；
10 And you shall appoint Aaron and his sons, and they shall attend to their priesthood; but the unauthorized person who comes near shall be put to death."
你要委任亞郎和他的兒子執行司祭的職務；俗人擅自走近，應處死刑。」
11 YHWH spoke to Moses, saying,
上主訓示梅瑟說：「
12 "Look, I have taken the Levites from among the children of Israel instead of all the firstborn who open the womb among the children of Israel; and the Levites shall be mine:
看，我由以色列子民中揀選了肋未人，以代替以色列子民中一切頭胎的長子，所以肋未人應歸於我，
13 for all the firstborn are mine. On the day that I struck down all the firstborn in the land of Egypt I made holy to me all the firstborn in Israel, both man and animal. They shall be mine. I am YHWH."
因為凡首生的，都是我的；自我在埃及國擊殺了一切首生之日起，凡以色列首生的，無論是人或是獸，都應祝聖歸我，屬於我：我是上主。」
14 YHWH spoke to Moses in the wilderness of Sinai, saying,
上主在西乃曠野訓示梅瑟說：「
15 "Count the descendants of Levi by their fathers' houses, by their families. You shall count every male from a month old and upward."
你應依照肋未人的宗族和家系，統計肋未的子孫，由一月以上，所有的男性都應登記。」
16 Moses numbered them according to the word of YHWH, as he was commanded.
於是梅瑟就照上主吩咐的命令，統計了他們。
17 These were the sons of Levi by their names: Gershon, and Kohath, and Merari.
肋未兒子的名字是：革爾雄、刻哈特和默辣黎。
18 These are the names of the sons of Gershon by their families: Libni and Shimei.
按族系，革爾雄兒子的名字是：里貝尼和史米。
19 The sons of Kohath by their families: Amram, and Izhar, Hebron, and Uzziel.
按族系，刻哈特的兒子是阿默蘭和依茲哈爾，赫貝龍和烏齊耳。
20 The sons of Merari by their families: Mahli and Mushi. These are the families of the Levites according to their fathers' houses.
按族系，默辣黎的兒子是瑪赫虜和慕史：這些人按他們的家族都屬肋未族系。
21 Of Gershon was the family of the Libnites, and the family of the Shimeites: these are the families of the Gershonites.
里貝尼族和史米族出自革爾雄：這是革爾雄人的家族。
22 Those who were numbered of them, according to the number of all the males, from a month old and upward, even those who were numbered of them were seven thousand five hundred.
凡一月以上登記的男性，共計七千五百。
23 The families of the Gershonites shall camp behind the tabernacle westward.
革爾雄人的家族在會幕後面西方紮營；
24 The prince of the fathers' house of the Gershonites shall be Eliasaph the son of Lael.
革爾雄人的領袖，是拉耳的兒子厄里亞撒夫。
25 The duty of the sons of Gershon in the Tent of Meeting shall be the tabernacle, and the tent, its covering, and the screen for the door of the Tent of Meeting,
革爾雄的子孫在會幕內的職務，是照管帳幕、幕蓬頂和會幕內的門簾，
26 and the curtaining of the court, and the screen for the door of the court, which is by the tabernacle, and around the altar, and its cords for all of its service.
並庭院的帷幔，圍繞帳幕與祭壇的庭院的門簾，以及庭院應用的一切繩索。
27 Of Kohath was the family of the Amramites, and the family of the Izharites, and the family of the Hebronites, and the family of the Uzzielites: these are the families of the Kohathites.
阿默蘭族、依茲哈爾族、赫貝龍族和烏齊耳族出自刻哈特：這是刻哈特人的家族。
28 According to the number of all the males, from a month old and upward, there were eight thousand six hundred, keeping the requirements of the sanctuary.
凡由一月以上登記的男性，共計八千六百；他們管理聖所。
29 The families of the sons of Kohath shall camp on the south side of the tabernacle.
刻哈特子孫的家族在帳幕南邊紮營。
30 The prince of the fathers' house of the families of the Kohathites shall be Elizaphan the son of Uzziel.
刻哈特族的家族領袖，是烏齊耳的兒子厄里匝番。
31 Their duty shall be the ark, the table, the lamp stand, the altars, the vessels of the sanctuary with which they minister, and the screen, and all its service.
他們的職務是管理約櫃、桌子、燈台、兩祭壇、聖所內應用的一切聖器、帷幔和為帷幔應盡的各種職務。
32 Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest shall be chief of the leaders of the Levites, with the oversight of those who keep the requirements of the sanctuary.
亞郎大司祭的兒子厄肋阿匝爾是肋未人的最高領袖，監督在聖所服務的人。
33 Of Merari was the family of the Mahlites, and the family of the Mushites. These are the families of Merari.
瑪赫里族和慕史族出自默辣黎：這是默辣黎人的家族。
34 Those who were numbered of them, according to the number of all the males, from a month old and upward, were six thousand two hundred.
凡一月以上登記的男性，共計六千二百。
35 The prince of the fathers' house of the families of Merari was Zuriel the son of Abihail. They shall camp on the north side of the tabernacle.
默辣黎族的家族領袖，是阿彼海耳的兒子族黎耳。他們在會幕北邊紮營。
36 The appointed duty of the sons of Merari shall be the tabernacle's boards, its bars, its pillars, its sockets, all its instruments, all its service,
默辣黎的兒子的職務，是照管會幕的木板、橫木、柱子、卯座，一切用具，並為會幕應盡的各種職務，
37 the pillars of the court around it, their sockets, their pins, and their cords.
還管理庭院四周的柱子及其卯座、木樁及繩索。
38 Those who camp before the tabernacle eastward, in front of the Tent of Meeting toward the sunrise, shall be Moses, and Aaron and his sons, keeping the requirements of the sanctuary for the duty of the children of Israel. The stranger who comes near shall be put to death.
在會幕前面東方，即在會幕前朝日出的一面紮營的，是梅瑟和亞郎其他的兒子；他們代替以色列民服務，管理聖所；俗人擅自走近，應處死刑。
39 All who were numbered of the Levites, whom Moses and Aaron numbered at the commandment of YHWH, by their families, all the males from a month old and upward, were twenty-two thousand.
梅瑟和亞郎照上主的命令，統計了所有的肋未人，按家族凡一月以上的男性都統計了，共計二萬二千人。
40 YHWH said to Moses, "Number all the firstborn males of the children of Israel from a month old and upward, and take the number of their names.
此後，上主又對梅瑟說：「以色列子民，凡一月以上首生的男性都要統計，登記他們的姓名；
41 You shall take the Levites for me (I am YHWH) instead of all the firstborn among the children of Israel; and the livestock of the Levites instead of all the firstborn among the livestock of the children of Israel."
應將肋未人獻於我，我是上主，以代替以色列子民中所有的長子；又將肋未人的牲畜獻於我，以代替以色列子民中一切頭胎的牲畜。」
42 Moses numbered, as YHWH commanded him, all the firstborn among the children of Israel.
梅瑟便照上主所吩咐的，統計了以色列子民中所有的長子，
43 All the firstborn males according to the number of names, from a month old and upward, of those who were numbered of them, were twenty-two thousand two hundred seventy-three.
凡一月以上的頭胎男兒，依名統計了，共計二萬二千二百七十三人。
44 YHWH spoke to Moses, saying,
上主訓示梅瑟說：「
45 "Take the Levites instead of all the firstborn among the children of Israel, and the livestock of the Levites instead of their livestock; and the Levites shall be mine. I am YHWH.
你要以肋未人替代以色列子民中所有的長子，以肋未人的牲畜替代他們的頭胎牲畜；肋未人應屬於我：我是上主。
46 For the redemption of the two hundred seventy-three of the firstborn of the children of Israel, who exceed the number of the Levites,
至於那超過肋未人數目，而應贖回的二百七十三個以色列子民的長子，
47 you shall take five shekels apiece for each one; after the shekel of the sanctuary you shall take them (the shekel is twenty gerahs):
為每一個，應照聖所的「協刻耳，」徵收五個「協刻耳，」──一「協刻耳，」合二十「革辣；」──
48 and you shall give the money, with which the remainder of them is redeemed, to Aaron and to his sons."
將這錢交給亞郎和他的兒子，作為超額人數的贖價。」
49 Moses took the redemption money from those who exceeded the number of those who were redeemed by the Levites;
梅瑟就為那超過肋未人數而應贖回的人，徵收了贖金。
50 from the firstborn of the children of Israel he took the money, one thousand three hundred sixty-five shekels, after the shekel of the sanctuary:
由以色列民的長子所徵收的銀子，依聖所的「協刻耳，」共計一千三百六十五「協刻耳。」
51 and Moses gave the redemption money to Aaron and to his sons, according to the word of YHWH, as YHWH commanded Moses.
梅瑟依照上主的命令，將這贖金交給了亞郎和他的兒子，全照上主吩咐梅瑟的。
