Matthew 9
1 And he entered into a boat, and crossed over, and came into his own city.
೧ಯೇಸು ದೋಣಿಯನ್ನು ಹತ್ತಿ ಸಮುದ್ರವನ್ನು ದಾಟಿ ತನ್ನ ಊರಿಗೆ ಬಂದನು.
2 And look, they brought to him a man who was paralyzed, lying on a bed. And Jesus, seeing their faith, said to the paralytic, "Son, cheer up. Your sins are forgiven."
೨ಅಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಯೇಸು ಬಂದಾಗ ಹಾಸಿಗೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಿದ್ದುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದ ಒಬ್ಬ ಪಾರ್ಶ್ವವಾಯು ರೋಗಿಯನ್ನು ಆತನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೊತ್ತುಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದರು. ಯೇಸು ರೋಗಿಯನ್ನು ಹೊತ್ತುಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದವರ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ಪಾರ್ಶ್ವವಾಯು ರೋಗಿಗೆ, “ಮಗನೇ ಧೈರ್ಯವಾಗಿರು, ನಿನ್ನ ಪಾಪಗಳು ಕ್ಷಮಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿವೆ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
3 And look, some of the scribes said to themselves, "This man blasphemes."
೩ಅಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲವರು, “ಇವನು ದೇವದೂಷಣೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾನೆಂದು” ತಮ್ಮತಮ್ಮೊಳಗೆ ಮಾತನಾಡಿಕೊಂಡರು.
4 But Jesus, knowing their thoughts, said, "Why do you think evil in your hearts?
೪ಯೇಸು ಅವರ ಆಲೋಚನೆಗಳನ್ನು ತಿಳಿದು, “ನೀವು ಏಕೆ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮನಸ್ಸಿನಲ್ಲಿ ದುರಾಲೋಚನೆಯನ್ನು ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದೀರಿ?
5 For which is easier, to say, 'Your sins are forgiven;' or to say, 'Get up, and walk?'
೫ಯಾವುದು ಸುಲಭ? ‘ನಿನ್ನ ಪಾಪಗಳು ಕ್ಷಮಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿವೆ’ ಎಂದು ಅನ್ನುವುದೋ?
6 But that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins..." (then he said to the paralytic), "Get up, and take up your mat, and go up to your house."
೬ಅಥವಾ ‘ಎದ್ದು ನಡೆ’ ಅನ್ನುವದೋ? ಆದರೆ ಪಾಪಗಳನ್ನು ಕ್ಷಮಿಸಿಬಿಡುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಮನುಷ್ಯಕುಮಾರನಿಗೆ ಭೂಲೋಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಧಿಕಾರ ಉಂಟೆಂಬುದು ನಿಮಗೆ ತಿಳಿಯಬೇಕು” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ಪಾರ್ಶ್ವವಾಯು ರೋಗಿಗೆ, “ಎದ್ದು ನಿನ್ನ ಹಾಸಿಗೆಯನ್ನು ಎತ್ತಿಕೊಂಡು ಮನೆಗೆ ಹೋಗು” ಅಂದನು.
7 And he arose and departed to his house.
೭ಆಗ ಅವನು ಎದ್ದು ತನ್ನ ಮನೆಗೆ ಹೊರಟುಹೋದನು.
8 Now when the crowds saw it, they were afraid and glorified God who had given such authority to men.
೮ಜನರು ಇದನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ಆಶ್ಚರ್ಯಚಕಿತರಾಗಿ, ಮನುಷ್ಯರಿಗೆ ಇಂಥ ಅಧಿಕಾರವನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟ ದೇವರನ್ನು ಕೊಂಡಾಡಿದರು.
9 And as Jesus passed by from there, he saw a man called Matthew sitting at the tax collection office. He said to him, "Follow me." And he got up and followed him.
೯ಯೇಸು ಅಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಹಾದು ಹೋಗುತ್ತಿರುವಾಗ, ಸುಂಕ ಸಂಗ್ರಹಣೆ ಕಟ್ಟೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕುಳಿತಿದ್ದ ಮತ್ತಾಯನೆಂಬ ಒಬ್ಬ ಮನುಷ್ಯನನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ, “ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸು” ಎಂದು ಅವನನ್ನು ಕರೆಯಲು ಅವನು ಎದ್ದು ಆತನನ್ನು ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸಿದನು.
10 And it happened as he sat in the house, look, many tax collectors and sinners came and were reclining with Jesus and his disciples.
೧೦ಅನಂತರ ಯೇಸು ಅವನ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಊಟಕ್ಕೆ ಕುಳಿತಿರುವಾಗ ಬಹು ಮಂದಿ ಸುಂಕದವರೂ ಪಾಪಿಗಳೂ ಬಂದು ಯೇಸುವಿನ ಮತ್ತು ಆತನ ಶಿಷ್ಯರ ಪಂಕ್ತಿಯಲ್ಲೇ ಕುಳಿತುಕೊಂಡರು.
11 And when the Pharisees saw it, they said to his disciples, "Why does your Teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?"
೧೧ಅದನ್ನು ನೋಡಿದ ಫರಿಸಾಯರು ಆತನ ಶಿಷ್ಯರನ್ನು, “ನಿಮ್ಮ ಗುರುವು ಸುಂಕದವರು ಮತ್ತು ಪಾಪಿಗಳ ಸಂಗಡ ಏಕೆ ಊಟಮಾಡುತ್ತಾನೆ?” ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದರು.
12 When he heard it, he said to them, "Those who are healthy have no need for a physician, but those who are sick do.
೧೨ಯೇಸು ಅದನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ, “ಕ್ಷೇಮದಿಂದಿರುವವರಿಗೆ ವೈದ್ಯನು ಬೇಕಾಗಿಲ್ಲ, ಕ್ಷೇಮವಿಲ್ಲದವರಿಗೆ ಬೇಕು.
13 But you go and learn what this means: 'I desire mercy, and not sacrifice,' for I came not to call the righteous, but sinners."
೧೩ನೀವು ಹೋಗಿ, ‘ನಾನು ಯಜ್ಞವನ್ನಲ್ಲ, ಕರುಣೆಯನ್ನೇ ಅಪೇಕ್ಷಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ’ ಎಂಬ ಮಾತಿನ ಅರ್ಥವನ್ನು ಕಲಿತುಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ. ನಾನು ನೀತಿವಂತರನ್ನು ಕರೆಯುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದವನಲ್ಲ, ಆದರೆ ಪಾಪಿಗಳನ್ನು ಕರೆಯುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದವನು” ಅಂದನು.
14 Then John's disciples came to him, saying, "Why do we and the Pharisees fast often, but your disciples do not fast?"
೧೪ನಂತರ ಯೋಹಾನನ ಶಿಷ್ಯರು ಆತನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದು, “ಫರಿಸಾಯರೂ ನಾವೂ ಬಹಳಸಾರಿ ಉಪವಾಸಮಾಡುತ್ತೇವೆ; ನಿನ್ನ ಶಿಷ್ಯರು ಏಕೆ ಉಪವಾಸ ಮಾಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ” ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದರು. ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಯೇಸು ಅವರಿಗೆ,
15 And Jesus said to them, "Can the friends of the bridegroom mourn, as long as the bridegroom is with them? But the days will come when the bridegroom will be taken away from them, and then they will fast.
೧೫“ಮದುವೆಯ ಅತಿಥಿಗಳು ತಮ್ಮ ಸಂಗಡ ಮದಲಿಂಗನು ಇರುವ ತನಕ ದುಃಖಪಡುವರೇ? ಆದರೆ ಮದಲಿಂಗನನ್ನು ಅವರ ಬಳಿಯಿಂದ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡುಹೋಗುವ ಕಾಲ ಬರುತ್ತದೆ; ಆಗ ಅವರು ಉಪವಾಸಮಾಡುವರು. ಯಾರೂ ಹೊಸ ಬಟ್ಟೆಯ ತುಂಡನ್ನು ಹಳೆಯ ವಸ್ತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ತ್ಯಾಪೆ ಹಚ್ಚುವುದಿಲ್ಲ; ಹಾಗೆ ಹಚ್ಚಿದರೆ
16 And no one puts a piece of unshrunk cloth on an old garment; for the patch would tear away from the garment, and a worse hole is made.
೧೬ಆ ತ್ಯಾಪೆಯು ಹಳೇ ವಸ್ತ್ರವನ್ನು ಹಿಂಜುವುದರಿಂದ ಹರಕು ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗುವುದು.
17 Neither do people put new wine into old wineskins, or else the skins would burst, and the wine pours out, and the skins ruined. No, they put new wine into fresh wineskins, and both are preserved."
೧೭ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಹಳೆಯ ಬುದ್ದಲಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಹೊಸ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಾರಸವನ್ನು ಹಾಕಿಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ; ಇಟ್ಟರೆ ಬುದ್ದಲಿಗಳು ಒಡೆದು ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಾರಸವು ಚೆಲ್ಲಿಹೋಗುವುದಲ್ಲದೆ, ಬುದ್ದಲಿಗಳು ನಾಶವಾಗುವವು; ಆದರೆ ಹೊಸ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಾರಸವನ್ನು ಹೊಸ ಬುದ್ದಲಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಕಿಡುತ್ತಾರೆ, ಆಗ ಎರಡೂ ಸಂರಕ್ಷಿಸಲ್ಪಡುವವು” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
18 While he told these things to them, look, a ruler came and worshiped him, saying, "My daughter has just died, but come and lay your hand on her, and she will live."
೧೮ಹೀಗೆ ಯೇಸು ಅವರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವಾಗ ಒಬ್ಬ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಯು ಬಂದು ಆತನಿಗೆ ಅಡ್ಡಬಿದ್ದು, “ನನ್ನ ಮಗಳು ಈಗಲೇ ತೀರಿಹೋದಳು; ಆದಾಗ್ಯೂ ನೀನು ಬಂದು ಆಕೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಕೈ ಇಟ್ಟರೆ ಬದುಕುವಳು” ಎಂದು ಬೇಡಿಕೊಂಡನು.
19 And Jesus got up and followed him, as did his disciples.
೧೯ಯೇಸು ಎದ್ದು ಆ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಯ ಹಿಂದೆ ಹೋಗುವಾಗ ಆತನ ಶಿಷ್ಯರು ಸಹ ಆತನನ್ನು ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸಿದರು.
20 And look, a woman who had an issue of blood for twelve years came behind him, and touched the fringe of his garment;
೨೦ಆಗ ಹನ್ನೆರಡು ವರ್ಷದಿಂದ ರಕ್ತಕುಸುಮ ರೋಗವಿದ್ದ ಒಬ್ಬ ಹೆಂಗಸು,
21 for she said within herself, "If I just touch his garment, I will be made well."
೨೧“ನಾನು ಆತನ ಉಡುಪನ್ನು ಮುಟ್ಟಿದರೆ ಸಾಕು, ಸ್ವಸ್ಥಳಾಗುವೆ ಎಂದು ಮನಸ್ಸಿನಲ್ಲಿ” ಅಂದುಕೊಂಡು ಹಿಂದಿನಿಂದ ಬಂದು ಯೇಸುವಿನ ಉಡುಪಿನ ಅಂಚನ್ನು ಮುಟ್ಟಿದಳು.
22 But Jesus, turning around and seeing her, said, "Daughter, cheer up. Your faith has made you well." And the woman was made well from that hour.
೨೨ಆಗ ಯೇಸು ಹಿಂತಿರುಗಿ ಆಕೆಯನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ, “ಮಗಳೇ, ಧೈರ್ಯವಾಗಿರು; ನಿನ್ನ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯೇ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಸ್ವಸ್ಥಮಾಡಿತು” ಅಂದನು. ಆ ಕ್ಷಣವೇ ಆ ಹೆಂಗಸು ಸ್ವಸ್ಥಳಾದಳು.
23 And when Jesus came into the ruler's house, and saw the flute players, and the crowd in noisy disorder,
೨೩ಯೇಸು ಆ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಯ ಮನೆಗೆ ಬಂದಾಗ ಕೊಳಲು ಊದುವವರನ್ನೂ ಗದ್ದಲ ಮಾಡುವ ಜನರ ಗುಂಪನ್ನೂ ಕಂಡು ಅವರಿಗೆ,
24 he said, "Go away, for the girl is not dead, but asleep." And they laughed at him.
೨೪“ಹೊರಗೆ ಹೋಗಿರಿ; ಹುಡುಗಿ ಸತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ ನಿದ್ರಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾಳೆ” ಅಂದನು. ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಅವರು ಆತನನ್ನು ಪರಿಹಾಸ್ಯ ಮಾಡಿದರು.
25 But when the crowd was put out, he entered in, took her by the hand, and the girl arose.
೨೫ಜನರನ್ನು ಹೊರಕ್ಕೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದ ಮೇಲೆ ಆತನು ಒಳಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಆಕೆಯ ಕೈ ಹಿಡಿಯಲು ಆಕೆ ಎದ್ದಳು.
26 And the report of this went out into all that land.
೨೬ಈ ಸುದ್ದಿ ಆ ದೇಶದೊಳಗೆಲ್ಲಾ ಹಬ್ಬಿತು.
27 And as Jesus passed by from there, two blind men followed him, calling out and saying, "Have mercy on us, son of David."
೨೭ಯೇಸು ಅಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಹಾದುಹೋಗುತ್ತಿರುವಾಗ ಇಬ್ಬರು ಕುರುಡರು, “ದಾವೀದ ಕುಮಾರನೇ, ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಕರುಣಿಸು” ಎಂದು ಕೂಗುತ್ತಾ ಆತನನ್ನು ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸಿದರು.
28 And when he had come into the house, the blind men came to him, and Jesus said to them, "Do you believe that I am able to do this?" They told him, "Yes, Lord."
೨೮ಯೇಸು ಮನೆಗೆ ಬಂದಾಗ ಆ ಕುರುಡರು ಆತನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದರು. ಯೇಸು ಅವರನ್ನು, “ನಾನು ಇದನ್ನು ಮಾಡಬಲ್ಲೆನೆಂಬುದನ್ನು ನೀವು ನಂಬುತ್ತೀರೋ” ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದ್ದಕ್ಕೆ, ಅವರು “ಹೌದು, ಕರ್ತನೇ, ನಂಬುತ್ತೇವೆ” ಅಂದರು.
29 Then he touched their eyes, saying, "According to your faith be it done to you."
೨೯ಆಗ ಆತನು ಅವರ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳನ್ನು ಮುಟ್ಟಿ, “ನಿಮ್ಮ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯಂತೆ ನಿಮಗೆ ಆಗಲಿ” ಅಂದನು. ಆಗ ಅವರ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳು ತೆರೆಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟವು.
30 And their eyes were opened. And Jesus strictly commanded them, saying, "See that no one knows about this."
೩೦ನಂತರ ಯೇಸು ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ಇದು ಯಾರಿಗೂ ತಿಳಿಯದಂತೆ ನೋಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ” ಎಂದು ಕಟ್ಟುನಿಟ್ಟಾಗಿ ಆದೇಶಿಸಿದನು.
31 But they went out and spread abroad his fame in all that land.
೩೧ಆದರೆ ಅವರು ಹೊರಟುಹೋಗಿ ಆ ದೇಶದೊಳಗೆಲ್ಲಾ ಆತನ ಸುದ್ದಿಯನ್ನು ಹಬ್ಬಿಸಿದರು.
32 And as they went out, look, a mute man who was demon possessed was brought to him.
೩೨ಅವರು ಹೊರಟುಹೋಗುತ್ತಿರುವಾಗ ದೆವ್ವಹಿಡಿದ ಒಬ್ಬ ಮೂಕನನ್ನು ಯೇಸುವಿನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಕರೆತಂದರು.
33 And when the demon was cast out, the mute man spoke. And the crowds were amazed, saying, "Nothing like this has ever been seen in Israel."
೩೩ದೆವ್ವ ಬಿಡಿಸಿದ ಮೇಲೆ ಮೂಕನಾಗಿದ್ದ ಅವನು ಮಾತನಾಡುವವನಾದನು. ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಜನರು, “ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಇಂಥ ಕಾರ್ಯವನ್ನು ಇದುವರೆಗೂ ಯಾರೂ ನೋಡಲಿಲ್ಲವೆಂದು” ಆಶ್ಚರ್ಯಚಕಿತರಾದರು.
34 But the Pharisees said, "By the prince of the demons, he casts out demons."
೩೪ಆದರೆ ಫರಿಸಾಯರು, “ಇವನು ದೆವ್ವಗಳ ಒಡೆಯನ ಸಹಾಯದಿಂದಲೇ ದೆವ್ವಗಳನ್ನು ಬಿಡಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
35 And Jesus went about all the cities and the villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the Good News of the Kingdom, and healing every disease and every sickness.
೩೫ತರುವಾಯ ಯೇಸು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳಲ್ಲೂ ಹಳ್ಳಿಗಳಲ್ಲೂ ಸಂಚರಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಅವರ ಸಭಾಮಂದಿರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಉಪದೇಶಮಾಡುತ್ತಾ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಸುವಾರ್ತೆಯನ್ನು ಸಾರಿ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ತರದ ರೋಗಗಳನ್ನೂ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ತರದ ಬೇನೆಗಳನ್ನೂ ವಾಸಿಮಾಡುತ್ತಾ ಬಂದನು.
36 But when he saw the crowds, he was moved with compassion for them, because they were harassed and scattered, like sheep without a shepherd.
೩೬ಯೇಸು ಜನರ ಗುಂಪುಗಳನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ಅವರು ಕುರುಬನಿಲ್ಲದ ಕುರಿಗಳ ಹಾಗೆ ಚದುರಿರುವುದನ್ನು ಕಂಡು ಅವರ ಮೇಲೆ ಕನಿಕರಪಟ್ಟನು.
37 Then he said to his disciples, "The harvest indeed is plentiful, but the laborers are few.
೩೭ಆತನು ತನ್ನ ಶಿಷ್ಯರಿಗೆ, “ಬೆಳೆಯು ಬಹಳ ಇದೆ, ಆದರೆ ಕೆಲಸದವರು ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ.
38 Pray therefore that the Lord of the harvest will send out laborers into his harvest."
೩೮ಆದುದರಿಂದ ಬೆಳೆಯ ಯಜಮಾನನನ್ನು, ನಿನ್ನ ಬೆಳೆಗೆ ಕೆಲಸದವರನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿಕೊಡಬೇಕೆಂದು ಬೇಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
