Matthew 9
1 And he entered into a boat, and crossed over, and came into his own city.
૧ત્યારે હોડીમાં બેસીને ઈસુ પેલે પાર ગયા, ત્યાર પછી પોતાના નગરમાં આવ્યા.
2 And look, they brought to him a man who was paralyzed, lying on a bed. And Jesus, seeing their faith, said to the paralytic, "Son, cheer up. Your sins are forgiven."
૨ત્યાં જુઓ, ખાટલે પડેલા એક લકવાગ્રસ્તને લોકો તેમની પાસે લાવ્યા. ઈસુએ તેઓનો વિશ્વાસ જોઈને પક્ષઘાતીને કહ્યું કે, “દીકરા, હિંમત રાખ, તારાં પાપ તને માફ થયા છે.”
3 And look, some of the scribes said to themselves, "This man blasphemes."
૩ત્યારે શાસ્ત્રીઓમાંના કેટલાકે પોતાના મનમાં કહ્યું કે, “એ દુર્ભાષણ કરે છે.”
4 But Jesus, knowing their thoughts, said, "Why do you think evil in your hearts?
૪ઈસુએ તેઓના વિચાર જાણીને કહ્યું કે, “તમે તમારા મનમાં શા માટે દુષ્ટ વિચાર કરો છો?
5 For which is easier, to say, 'Your sins are forgiven;' or to say, 'Get up, and walk?'
૫કેમ કે એ બેમાંનું વધારે સહેલું કયું છે, એમ કહેવું કે ‘તારાં પાપ તને માફ થયાં છે,’ અથવા એમ કહેવું કે ‘ઊઠીને ચાલ્યો જા?’
6 But that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins..." (then he said to the paralytic), "Get up, and take up your mat, and go up to your house."
૬પણ માણસના દીકરાને પૃથ્વી પર પાપોની માફી આપવાનો અધિકાર છે, એ તમે જાણો,” તેથી ઈસુએ લકવાગ્રસ્ત માણસને કહ્યું કે “ઊઠ, તારો ખાટલો ઊંચકીને તારે ઘરે ચાલ્યો જા.”
7 And he arose and departed to his house.
૭અને તે ઊઠીને પોતાને ઘરે ગયો.
8 Now when the crowds saw it, they were afraid and glorified God who had given such authority to men.
૮તે જોઈને લોકો આશ્ચર્યચકિત થયા, અને ઈશ્વરે માણસોને એવો અધિકાર આપ્યો છે, એ માટે તેઓએ તેમનો મહિમા કર્યો.
9 And as Jesus passed by from there, he saw a man called Matthew sitting at the tax collection office. He said to him, "Follow me." And he got up and followed him.
૯ઈસુએ ત્યાંથી જતા માથ્થી નામના એક માણસને જકાત લેવાની ચોકી પર બેઠેલો જોયો; તેમણે તેને કહ્યું કે, ‘તું મારી પાછળ આવ.’ ત્યારે તે ઊઠીને તેમની પાછળ ગયો.
10 And it happened as he sat in the house, look, many tax collectors and sinners came and were reclining with Jesus and his disciples.
૧૦ત્યાર પછી એમ થયું કે, ઈસુ માથ્થીના ઘરે જમવા બેઠા ત્યારે જુઓ, ઘણાં જકાત લેનારાઓ તથા પાપીઓ આવીને ઈસુની તથા તેમના શિષ્યોની સાથે બેઠા.
11 And when the Pharisees saw it, they said to his disciples, "Why does your Teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?"
૧૧ફરોશીઓએ એ જોઈને તેમના શિષ્યોને કહ્યું કે, “તમારો ઉપદેશક દાણીઓની તથા પાપીઓની સાથે કેમ ખાય છે?”
12 When he heard it, he said to them, "Those who are healthy have no need for a physician, but those who are sick do.
૧૨ઈસુએ એ સાંભળીને તેઓને કહ્યું કે, “જેઓ તંદુરસ્ત છે તેઓને વૈદની અગત્ય નથી, પણ જેઓ બિમાર છે તેઓને છે.
13 But you go and learn what this means: 'I desire mercy, and not sacrifice,' for I came not to call the righteous, but sinners."
૧૩પણ, ‘બલિદાન કરતાં હું દયા ચાહું છું,’ એનો શો અર્થ છે, તે જઈને શીખો; કેમ કે ન્યાયીઓને નહિ, પણ પાપીઓને બોલાવવા હું આવ્યો છું.”
14 Then John's disciples came to him, saying, "Why do we and the Pharisees fast often, but your disciples do not fast?"
૧૪ત્યારે યોહાનના શિષ્યોએ તેમની પાસે આવીને કહ્યું કે “અમે તથા ફરોશીઓ ઘણીવાર ઉપવાસ કરીએ છીએ, પણ તમારા શિષ્યો ઉપવાસ કરતા નથી. એનું કારણ શું?”
15 And Jesus said to them, "Can the friends of the bridegroom mourn, as long as the bridegroom is with them? But the days will come when the bridegroom will be taken away from them, and then they will fast.
૧૫ત્યારે ઈસુએ તેઓને કહ્યું કે, “જ્યાં સુધી વરરાજા જાનૈયાઓની સાથે છે, ત્યાં સુધી શું તેઓ શોક કરી શકે છે? પણ એવા દિવસો આવશે કે વરરાજા તેઓની પાસેથી લઈ લેવાશે, ત્યારે તેઓ ઉપવાસ કરશે.
16 And no one puts a piece of unshrunk cloth on an old garment; for the patch would tear away from the garment, and a worse hole is made.
૧૬વળી નવા વસ્ત્રોનું થીંગડું જૂના વસ્ત્રોમાં કોઈ મારતું નથી, કેમ કે તે થીંગડાથી તે વસ્ત્રો ખેંચાય છે, અને તે વધારે ફાટી જાય છે.
17 Neither do people put new wine into old wineskins, or else the skins would burst, and the wine pours out, and the skins ruined. No, they put new wine into fresh wineskins, and both are preserved."
૧૭વળી નવો દ્રાક્ષારસ જૂની મશકોમાં કોઈ ભરતું નથી; જો ભરે તો મશકો ફાટી જાય છે, દ્રાક્ષારસ ઢોળાઈ જાય છે, અને મશકોનો નાશ થાય છે. પણ નવો દ્રાક્ષારસ નવી મશકોમાં ભરવામાં આવે છે, જેથી બન્નેનું રક્ષણ થાય છે.”
18 While he told these things to them, look, a ruler came and worshiped him, saying, "My daughter has just died, but come and lay your hand on her, and she will live."
૧૮ઈસુ તેઓને આ વાત કહેતાં હતા, ત્યારે જુઓ, એક અધિકારી આવીને તેમને પગે પડીને કહ્યું કે, “મારી દીકરી હમણાં જ મૃત્યુ પામી છે, પણ તમે આવીને તમારો હાથ તેના પર મૂકો એટલે તે જીવતી થશે.”
19 And Jesus got up and followed him, as did his disciples.
૧૯ત્યારે ઈસુ ઊઠીને પોતાના શિષ્યો સહિત તેની પાછળ ગયા.
20 And look, a woman who had an issue of blood for twelve years came behind him, and touched the fringe of his garment;
૨૦ત્યારે જુઓ, એક સ્ત્રી જેને બાર વર્ષથી સખત લોહીવા હતો, તે ઈસુની પાછળ આવીને તેમના વસ્ત્રોની કોરને અડકી;
21 for she said within herself, "If I just touch his garment, I will be made well."
૨૧કેમ કે તેણે પોતાના મનમાં વિચાર્યું કે, “જો હું માત્ર તેમના વસ્ત્રને અડકું તો હું સાજી થઈ જઈશ.”
22 But Jesus, turning around and seeing her, said, "Daughter, cheer up. Your faith has made you well." And the woman was made well from that hour.
૨૨ત્યારે ઈસુએ પાછા ફરીને તથા તેને જોઈને કહ્યું કે, “દીકરી, હિંમત રાખ, તારા વિશ્વાસે તને સાજી કરી છે;” અને તે સ્ત્રી તે જ ઘડીથી સાજી થઈ.
23 And when Jesus came into the ruler's house, and saw the flute players, and the crowd in noisy disorder,
૨૩પછી જયારે ઈસુએ તે અધિકારીના ઘરમાં આવીને વાંસળી વગાડનારાઓને તથા લોકોને કકળાટ કરતા જોયા;
24 he said, "Go away, for the girl is not dead, but asleep." And they laughed at him.
૨૪ત્યારે તેમણે કહ્યું કે, “અહીંથી ચાલ્યા જાઓ; કેમ કે છોકરી મરી ગઈ નથી, પણ ઊંઘે છે.” અને તેઓએ ઈસુની વાતને મજાકમાં કાઢી.
25 But when the crowd was put out, he entered in, took her by the hand, and the girl arose.
૨૫લોકોને બહાર કાઢ્યાં પછી, તેમણે અંદર જઈને તેનો હાથ પકડ્યો; અને તે છોકરી ઊઠી.
26 And the report of this went out into all that land.
૨૬તે વાતની ચર્ચા આખા પ્રદેશમાં ફેલાઈ ગઈ.
27 And as Jesus passed by from there, two blind men followed him, calling out and saying, "Have mercy on us, son of David."
૨૭ઈસુ ત્યાંથી જતા હતા, તેવામાં બે અંધજનોએ તેમની પાછળ જઈને બૂમ પાડતાં કહ્યું કે, “ઓ દાઉદના દીકરા, અમારા પર દયા કરો!”
28 And when he had come into the house, the blind men came to him, and Jesus said to them, "Do you believe that I am able to do this?" They told him, "Yes, Lord."
૨૮ઈસુ ઘરમાં આવ્યા, ત્યારે તે અંધજનો તેમની પાસે આવ્યા. ઈસુએ તેઓને કહ્યું છે કે, “હું એ કરી શકું છું એવો તમને વિશ્વાસ છે શું?” તેઓ તેમને કહ્યું કે, ‘હા પ્રભુ.’”
29 Then he touched their eyes, saying, "According to your faith be it done to you."
૨૯ત્યારે ઈસુએ તેઓની આંખોને અડકીને કહ્યું કે, “તમારા વિશ્વાસ પ્રમાણે તમને થાઓ.”
30 And their eyes were opened. And Jesus strictly commanded them, saying, "See that no one knows about this."
૩૦તે જ સમયે તેઓની આંખો ઊઘડી ગઈ. પછી ઈસુએ તેઓને કડક આજ્ઞા આપીને કહ્યું કે, “જોજો, કોઈ આ વિષે જાણે નહિ.”
31 But they went out and spread abroad his fame in all that land.
૩૧પણ તેઓએ બહાર જઈને આખા દેશમાં તેમની કીર્તિ ફેલાવી.
32 And as they went out, look, a mute man who was demon possessed was brought to him.
૩૨તેઓ બહાર ગયા ત્યારે જુઓ, દુષ્ટાત્મા વળગેલાં એક મૂંગા માણસને લોકો તેમની પાસે લાવ્યા.
33 And when the demon was cast out, the mute man spoke. And the crowds were amazed, saying, "Nothing like this has ever been seen in Israel."
૩૩દુષ્ટાત્મા કાઢવામાં આવ્યો ત્યારે તે મૂંગો માણસ બોલ્યો અને લોકોએ આશ્ચર્ય પામીને કહ્યું કે, “ઇઝરાયલમાં આવું કદી જોવામાં આવ્યું નથી!”
34 But the Pharisees said, "By the prince of the demons, he casts out demons."
૩૪પણ ફરોશીઓએ કહ્યું કે, “તે દુષ્ટાત્માઓનાં સરદારથી જ દુષ્ટાત્માઓ કાઢે છે.”
35 And Jesus went about all the cities and the villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the Good News of the Kingdom, and healing every disease and every sickness.
૩૫ઈસુ તેઓનાં સભાસ્થાનોમાં બોધ કરતા, રાજ્યની સુવાર્તા પ્રગટ કરતા, દરેક પ્રકારનો રોગ તથા દરેક પ્રકારની બીમારી મટાડતા; સઘળાં નગરોમાં તથા ગામોમાં ફરતા ગયા.
36 But when he saw the crowds, he was moved with compassion for them, because they were harassed and scattered, like sheep without a shepherd.
૩૬લોકોને જોઈને તેમને તેઓ પર અનુકંપા આવી, કેમ કે તેઓ પાળક વગરનાં ઘેટાંના જેવા હેરાન તથા નિરાધાર હતા.
37 Then he said to his disciples, "The harvest indeed is plentiful, but the laborers are few.
૩૭ત્યારે ઈસુએ પોતાના શિષ્યોને કહ્યું કે, “ફસલ પુષ્કળ છે ખરી, પણ મજૂરો થોડા છે.
38 Pray therefore that the Lord of the harvest will send out laborers into his harvest."
૩૮એ માટે તમે ફસલના માલિકને પ્રાર્થના કરો કે, તે પોતાની ફસલને માટે મજૂરો મોકલે.”
