Matthew 7
1 "Do not judge, so that you won't be judged.
೧“ತೀರ್ಪುಮಾಡಬೇಡಿರಿ; ಹಾಗೆ ನಿಮಗೂ ತೀರ್ಪಾಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
2 For with whatever judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with whatever measure you measure, it will be measured to you.
೨ನೀವು ಮಾಡುವ ತೀರ್ಪಿಗೆ ಸರಿಯಾಗಿ ನಿಮಗೂ ತೀರ್ಪಾಗುವುದು; ನೀವು ಅಳೆಯುವ ಅಳತೆಯಿಂದಲೇ ನಿಮಗೂ ಅಳೆಯುವರು.
3 And why do you see the speck that is in your brother's eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye?
೩“ನೀನು ನಿನ್ನ ಕಣ್ಣಿನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ತೊಲೆಯನ್ನು ಯೋಚಿಸದೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರನ ಕಣ್ಣಿನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಧೂಳನ್ನು ಏಕೆ ಯೋಚಿಸುವೇ?
4 Or how will you tell your brother, 'Let me remove the speck from your eye;' and look, the log is in your own eye?
೪ನೀನು ನಿನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರನಿಗೆ, ‘ನಿನ್ನ ಕಣ್ಣಿನೊಳಗಿನಿಂದ ಧೂಳನ್ನು ತೆಗೆಯುತ್ತೇನೆ ಬಾ’ ಎಂದು ಏಕೆ ಹೇಳುವೇ? ನಿನ್ನ ಕಣ್ಣಿನಲ್ಲೇ ತೊಲೆ ಇದೆಯಲ್ಲಾ.
5 You hypocrite. First remove the log out of your own eye, and then you can see clearly to remove the speck out of your brother's eye.
೫ಕಪಟಿಯೇ! ಮೊದಲು ನಿನ್ನ ಕಣ್ಣಿನೊಳಗಿನಿಂದ ತೊಲೆಯನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಹಾಕಿದರೆ; ನಿನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರನ ಕಣ್ಣಿನೊಳಗಿನಿಂದ ಧೂಳನ್ನು ತೆಗೆಯವುದಕ್ಕೆ ನಿನಗೆ ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟವಾಗಿ ಕಾಣಿಸುವುದು.
6 "Do not give that which is holy to the dogs, neither throw your pearls before the pigs, or they will trample them under their feet and turn and tear you to pieces.
೬“ಪವಿತ್ರವಾದುದನ್ನು ನಾಯಿಗಳಿಗೆ ನೀಡಬೇಡಿರಿ; ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮುತ್ತುಗಳನ್ನು ಹಂದಿಗಳ ಮುಂದೆ ಚೆಲ್ಲಬೇಡಿರಿ. ಬಹುಶಃ ಅವು ತಮ್ಮ ಕಾಲಿನಿಂದ ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ತುಳಿದು ಹಿಂತಿರುಗಿ ಬಂದು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಸೀಳಿಬಿಟ್ಟಾವು.
7 "Ask, and it will be given to you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened for you.
೭“ಬೇಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ, ನಿಮಗೆ ದೊರೆಯುವುದು; ಹುಡುಕಿರಿ, ನಿಮಗೆ ಸಿಕ್ಕುವುದು; ತಟ್ಟಿರಿ, ನಿಮಗೆ ತೆರೆಯುವುದು;
8 For everyone who asks receives. He who seeks finds. To him who knocks it will be opened.
೮ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಬೇಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬನೂ ಹೊಂದುವನು, ಹುಡುಕುವವನಿಗೆ ಸಿಕ್ಕುವುದು, ತಟ್ಟುವವನಿಗೆ ತೆರೆಯಲ್ಪಡುವುದು.
9 Or who is there among you, who, if his son will ask him for bread, will give him a stone?
೯“ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವನು ರೊಟ್ಟಿ ಕೇಳುವ ಮಗನಿಗೆ ಕಲ್ಲನ್ನು ಕೊಡುವನೋ?
10 Or if he will ask for a fish, who will give him a serpent?
೧೦ಮೀನು ಕೇಳಿದರೆ ಹಾವನ್ನು ಕೊಡುವನೋ?
11 If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him.
೧೧ಹಾಗಾದರೆ ಕೆಟ್ಟವರಾದ ನೀವು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಉಡುಗೊರೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕೊಡಬಲ್ಲವರಾದರೆ ಪರಲೋಕದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ನಿಮ್ಮ ತಂದೆಯು ತನ್ನನ್ನು ಬೇಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವವರಿಗೆ ಎಷ್ಟೋ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ವರಗಳನ್ನು ಕೊಡುವನಲ್ಲವೇ?
12 Therefore whatever you desire for people to do to you, so also you should do to them; for this is the Law and the Prophets.
೧೨ಅಂತು ಜನರು ನಿಮಗೆ ಏನೇನು ಮಾಡಬೇಕೆಂದು ಅಪೇಕ್ಷಿಸುತ್ತೀರೋ ಅದನ್ನೇ ನೀವು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಮಾಡಿರಿ. ಧರ್ಮಶಾಸ್ತ್ರದ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರವಾದಿಗಳ ತಾತ್ಪರ್ಯ ಇದೇ ಆಗಿದೆ.
13 "Enter in by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and many are those who enter in by it.
೧೩“ಇಕ್ಕಟ್ಟಾದ ಬಾಗಿಲಿನಿಂದ ಒಳಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಿರಿ. ನಾಶಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗುವ ಬಾಗಿಲು ದೊಡ್ಡದು, ದಾರಿ ವಿಶಾಲವಾದುದು; ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ಹೋಗುವವರು ಬಹು ಜನ.
14 How narrow is the gate, and difficult is the way that leads to life. Few are those who find it.
೧೪ನಿತ್ಯ ಜೀವಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗುವ ಬಾಗಿಲು ಇಕ್ಕಟ್ಟು, ದಾರಿ ಬಿಕ್ಕಟ್ಟು; ಅದನ್ನು ಕಂಡುಹಿಡಿಯುವವರು ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಜನ.
15 "Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly are ravening wolves.
೧೫“ಕುರಿವೇಷ ಹಾಕಿಕೊಂಡು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬರುವ ಸುಳ್ಳುಪ್ರವಾದಿಗಳ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಎಚ್ಚರವಾಗಿರಿ; ನಿಜವಾಗಿಯೂ ಅವರು ಕಿತ್ತುತಿನ್ನುವ ತೋಳಗಳೇ.
16 By their fruits you will know them. Do you gather grapes from thorns, or figs from thistles?
೧೬ಅವರ ಫಲಗಳಿಂದ ಅವರನ್ನು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವಿರಿ. ಮುಳ್ಳುಗಿಡಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಿಹಣ್ಣುಗಳನ್ನೂ ದತ್ತೂರಿ ಗಿಡಗಳಿಂದ ಅಂಜೂರಗಳನ್ನೂ ಸಂಗ್ರಹಿಸುವುದುಂಟೇ?
17 Even so, every good tree produces good fruit; but the corrupt tree produces evil fruit.
೧೭ಹಾಗೆಯೇಒಳ್ಳೆಯಮರಗಳೆಲ್ಲಾ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಫಲವನ್ನು ಕೊಡುವವು; ಹುಳುಕು ಮರವು ಕೆಟ್ಟ ಫಲವನ್ನು ಕೊಡುವುದು. ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಮರವು ಕೆಟ್ಟ ಫಲವನ್ನು ಕೊಡಲಾರದು;
18 A good tree cannot produce evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree produce good fruit.
೧೮ಹುಳುಕು ಮರವು ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಫಲವನ್ನು ಕೊಡಲಾರದು.
19 Every tree that does not grow good fruit is cut down, and thrown into the fire.
೧೯ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಫಲವನ್ನು ಕೊಡದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಮರಗಳನ್ನು ಕಡಿದು ಬೆಂಕಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಕುತ್ತಾರೆ.
20 Therefore, by their fruits you will know them.
೨೦ಹೀಗಿರಲಾಗಿ ಅವರ ಫಲಗಳಿಂದಲೇ ಅವರನ್ನು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವಿರಿ.
21 Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.
೨೧“ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕರ್ತನೇ, ಕರ್ತನೇ ಅನ್ನುವವರೆಲ್ಲರು ಪರಲೋಕ ರಾಜ್ಯವನ್ನು ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ; ಪರಲೋಕದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ನನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯ ಚಿತ್ತದಂತೆ ನಡೆಯುವವನು ಮಾತ್ರ ಪರಲೋಕ ರಾಜ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸುವನು.
22 Many will tell me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, did not we prophesy in your name, in your name cast out demons, and in your name do many mighty works?'
೨೨ಕರ್ತನೇ, ಕರ್ತನೇ, ನಿನ್ನ ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನಾವು ಪ್ರವಾದನೆ ಮಾಡಲಿಲ್ಲವೇ? ನಿನ್ನ ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ದೆವ್ವಗಳನ್ನು ಬಿಡಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲವೇ? ನಿನ್ನ ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಅನೇಕ ಮಹತ್ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಲಿಲ್ಲವೇ ಎಂದು ತೀರ್ಪಿನ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಎಷ್ಟೋ ಜನರು ನನಗೆ ಹೇಳುವರು.
23 And then I will tell them, 'I never knew you. Depart from me, you who practice lawlessness.'
೨೩ಆಗ ನಾನು ಅವರಿಗೆ, ‘ನಿಮ್ಮ ಗುರುತೇ ನನಗಿಲ್ಲ; ದುಷ್ಟತನ ಮಾಡುವ ನೀವು, ನನ್ನಿಂದ ತೊಲಗಿಹೋಗಿರಿ,’ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿಬಿಡುವೆನು.
24 "Everyone therefore who hears these words of mine, and does them, will be compared to a wise man, who built his house on a rock.
೨೪“ಆದುದರಿಂದ, ಈ ನನ್ನ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ ಅವುಗಳಂತೆ ನಡೆಯುವವನು ಬಂಡೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಮನೆಯನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿಕೊಂಡ ಬುದ್ಧಿವಂತನಿಗೆ ಹೋಲುವನು.
25 And the rain came down, the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock.
೨೫ಮನೆ ಕಟ್ಟಿದ ಮೇಲೆ ಮಳೆ ಸುರಿಯಿತು; ಪ್ರವಾಹವು ಬಂದವು; ನಾಲ್ಕು ಕಡೆಯಿಂದ ಗಾಳಿ ಬೀಸಿ ಆ ಮನೆಗೆ ಹೊಡೆಯಿತು. ಆದಾಗ್ಯೂ ಅದರ ಅಸ್ತಿವಾರವು ಬಂಡೆಯ ಮೇಲಿದ್ದುದರಿಂದ ಅದು ಬೀಳಲಿಲ್ಲ.
26 And everyone who hears these words of mine, and does not do them will be like a foolish man, who built his house on the sand.
೨೬ಆದರೆ ಈ ನನ್ನ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿಯೂ ಅವುಗಳಂತೆ ನಡೆಯದ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬನು ಮರಳಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ಮನೆಯನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿಕೊಂಡ ಬುದ್ಧಿಹೀನನಿಗೆ ಸಮನಾಗಿರುವನು.
27 And the rain came down, the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat on that house; and it fell—and great was its fall."
೨೭ಮನೆ ಕಟ್ಟಿದ ಮೇಲೆ ಮಳೆ ಸುರಿಯಿತು; ಪ್ರವಾಹವು ಬಂದವು; ನಾಲ್ಕು ಕಡೆಯಿಂದ ಗಾಳಿ ಬೀಸಿ ಆ ಮನೆಗೆ ಹೊಡೆಯಿತು. ಆಗ ಆ ಮನೆ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ಕುಸಿದುಬಿತ್ತು. ಆ ಕುಸಿತ ಅಗಾಧವಾದುದು.
28 And it happened, when Jesus had finished saying these things, that the crowds were astonished at his teaching,
೨೮“ಯೇಸು ಈ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಹೇಳಿ ಮುಗಿಸಿದ ಮೇಲೆ ಆ ಜನರ ಗುಂಪು ಆತನ ಉಪದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಅತ್ಯಾಶ್ಚರ್ಯಪಟ್ಟರು.
29 for he taught them with authority, and not like their scribes.
೨೯ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಆತನು ಅವರ ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರಿಗಳಂತೆ ಉಪದೇಶಿಸದೆ ಅಧಿಕಾರವಿದ್ದವನಂತೆ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಉಪದೇಶಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದನು.
