Matthew 27
1 Now when morning had come, all the chief priests and the elders of the people took counsel against Jesus to put him to death:
ปฺรภาเต ชาเต ปฺรธานยาชกโลกปฺราจีนา ยีศุํ หนฺตุํ ตตฺปฺรติกูลํ มนฺตฺรยิตฺวา
2 and they bound him, and led him away, and delivered him to Pilate, the governor.
ตํ พทฺวฺวา นีตฺวา ปนฺตียปีลาตาขฺยาธิเป สมรฺปยามาสุ: ฯ
3 Then Judas, who betrayed him, when he saw that Jesus was condemned, felt remorse, and returned the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders,
ตโต ยีโศ: ปรกเรวฺวรฺปยิตา ยิหูทาสฺตตฺปฺราณาทณฺฑาชฺญำ วิทิตฺวา สนฺตปฺตมนา: ปฺรธานยาชกโลกปฺราจีนานำ สมกฺษํ ตาสฺตฺรีํศนฺมุทฺรา: ปฺรติทายาวาทีตฺ,
4 saying, "I have sinned in that I betrayed innocent blood." But they said, "What is that to us? You see to it."
เอตนฺนิราโคนรปฺราณปรกรารฺปณาตฺ กลุษํ กฺฤตวานหํฯ ตทา ต อุทิตวนฺต: , เตนาสฺมากํ กึ? ตฺวยา ตทฺ พุธฺยตามฺฯ
5 He threw down the pieces of silver in the sanctuary, and departed. He went away and hanged himself.
ตโต ยิหูทา มนฺทิรมเธฺย ตา มุทฺรา นิกฺษิปฺย ปฺรสฺถิตวานฺ อิตฺวา จ สฺวยมาตฺมานมุทฺพพนฺธฯ
6 The chief priests took the pieces of silver, and said, "It's not lawful to put them into the treasury, since it is the price of blood."
ปศฺจาตฺ ปฺรธานยาชกาสฺตา มุทฺรา อาทาย กถิตวนฺต: , เอตา มุทฺรา: โศณิตมูลฺยํ ตสฺมาทฺ ภาณฺฑาคาเร น นิธาตวฺยา: ฯ
7 They took counsel, and bought the potter's field with them, to bury strangers in.
อนนฺตรํ เต มนฺตฺรยิตฺวา วิเทศินำ ศฺมศานสฺถานาย ตาภิ: กุลาลสฺย เกฺษตฺรมกฺรีณนฺฯ
8 Therefore that field was called "The Field of Blood" to this day.
อโต'ทฺยาปิ ตตฺสฺถานํ รกฺตกฺเษตฺรํ วทนฺติฯ
9 Then that which was spoken through Jeremiah the prophet was fulfilled, saying, "They took the thirty pieces of silver, the price of him upon whom a price had been set, whom some of the children of Israel priced,
อิตฺถํ สติ อิสฺราเยลียสนฺตาไน รฺยสฺย มูลฺยํ นิรุปิตํ, ตสฺย ตฺรึศนฺมุทฺรามานํ มูลฺยํ
10 and they gave them for the potter's field, as the Lord commanded me."
มำ ปฺรติ ปรเมศฺวรสฺยาเทศาตฺ เตภฺย อาทียต, เตน จ กุลาลสฺย เกฺษตฺรํ กฺรีตมิติ ยทฺวจนํ ยิริมิยภวิษฺยทฺวาทินา โปฺรกฺตํ ตตฺ ตทาสิธฺยตฺฯ
11 Now Jesus stood before the governor: and the governor asked him, saying, "Are you the King of the Jews?" Jesus said to him, "You say so."
อนนฺตรํ ยีเศา ตทธิปเต: สมฺมุข อุปติษฺฐติ ส ตํ ปปฺรจฺฉ, ตฺวํ กึ ยิหูทียานำ ราชา? ตทา ยีศุสฺตมวทตฺ, ตฺวํ สตฺยมุกฺตวานฺฯ
12 When he was accused by the chief priests and elders, he answered nothing.
กินฺตุ ปฺรธานยาชกปฺราจีไนรภิยุกฺเตน เตน กิมปิ น ปฺรตฺยวาทิฯ
13 Then Pilate said to him, "Do you not hear how many things they testify against you?"
ตต: ปีลาเตน ส อุทิต: , อิเม ตฺวตฺปฺรติกูลต: กติ กติ สากฺษฺยํ ททติ, ตตฺ ตฺวํ น ศฺฤโณษิ?
14 He gave him no answer, not even one word, so that the governor was greatly amazed.
ตถาปิ ส เตษาเมกสฺยาปิ วจส อุตฺตรํ โนทิตวานฺ; เตน โส'ธิปติ รฺมหาจิตฺรํ วิทามาสฯ
15 Now at the feast the governor was accustomed to release to the crowd one prisoner, whom they desired.
อนฺยจฺจ ตนฺมหกาเล'ธิปเตเรตาทฺฤศี ราติราสีตฺ, ปฺรชา ยํ กญฺจน พนฺธินํ ยาจนฺเต, ตเมว ส โมจยตีติฯ
16 They had then a notable prisoner, called Barabbas.
ตทานีํ พรพฺพานามา กศฺจิตฺ ขฺยาตพนฺธฺยาสีตฺฯ
17 When therefore they were gathered together, Pilate said to them, "Whom do you want me to release to you? Barabbas, or Jesus, who is called Christ?"
ตต: ปีลาตสฺตตฺร มิลิตานฺ โลกานฺ อปฺฤจฺฉตฺ, เอษ พรพฺพา พนฺธี ขฺรีษฺฏวิขฺยาโต ยีศุศฺไจตโย: กํ โมจยิษฺยามิ? ยุษฺมากํ กิมีปฺสิตํ?
18 For he knew that because of envy they had delivered him up.
ไตรีรฺษฺยยา ส สมรฺปิต อิติ ส ชฺญาตวานฺฯ
19 While he was sitting on the judgment seat, his wife sent to him, saying, "Have nothing to do with that righteous man, for I have suffered many things this day in a dream because of him."
อปรํ วิจาราสโนปเวศนกาเล ปีลาตสฺย ปตฺนี ภฺฤตฺยํ ปฺรหิตฺย ตไสฺม กถยามาส, ตํ ธารฺมฺมิกมนุชํ ปฺรติ ตฺวยา กิมปิ น กรฺตฺตวฺยํ; ยสฺมาตฺ ตตฺกฺฤเต'ทฺยาหํ สฺวปฺเน ปฺรภูตกษฺฏมลเภฯ
20 Now the chief priests and the elders persuaded the crowds to ask for Barabbas, and destroy Jesus.
อนนฺตรํ ปฺรธานยาชกปฺราจีนา พรพฺพำ ยาจิตฺวาทาตุํ ยีศุญฺจ หนฺตุํ สกลโลกานฺ ปฺราวรฺตฺตยนฺฯ
21 But the governor answered them, "Which of the two do you want me to release to you?" They said, "Barabbas."
ตโต'ธิปติสฺตานฺ ปฺฤษฺฏวานฺ, เอตโย: กมหํ โมจยิษฺยามิ? ยุษฺมากํ เกจฺฉา? เต โปฺรจุ รฺพรพฺพำฯ
22 Pilate said to them, "What then should I do with Jesus, who is called Christ?" They all said, "Let him be crucified."
ตทา ปีลาต: ปปฺรจฺฉ, ตรฺหิ ยํ ขฺรีษฺฏํ วทนฺติ, ตํ ยีศุํ กึ กริษฺยามิ? สรฺเวฺว กถยามาสุ: , ส กฺรุเศน วิธฺยตำฯ
23 But he said, "Why? What evil has he done?" But they shouted all the louder, saying, "Let him be crucified."
ตโต'ธิปติรวาทีตฺ, กุต: ? กึ เตนาปราทฺธํ? กินฺตุ เต ปุนรุไจ รฺชคทุ: , ส กฺรุเศน วิธฺยตำฯ
24 So Pilate, seeing that nothing was being gained, but rather that a disturbance was starting, took water and he washed his hands before the crowd, saying, "I am innocent of the blood of this righteous man. You see to it."
ตทา นิชวากฺยมคฺราหฺยมภูตฺ, กลหศฺจาปฺยภูตฺ, ปีลาต อิติ วิโลกฺย โลกานำ สมกฺษํ โตยมาทาย กเรา ปฺรกฺษาลฺยาโวจตฺ, เอตสฺย ธารฺมฺมิกมนุษฺยสฺย โศณิตปาเต นิรฺโทโษ'หํ, ยุษฺมาภิเรว ตทฺ พุธฺยตำฯ
25 All the people answered, "May his blood be on us, and on our children."
ตทา สรฺวฺวา: ปฺรชา: ปฺรตฺยโวจนฺ, ตสฺย โศณิตปาตาปราโธ'สฺมากมฺ อสฺมตฺสนฺตานานาญฺโจปริ ภวตุฯ
26 Then he released to them Barabbas, but Jesus he flogged and delivered to be crucified.
ตต: ส เตษำ สมีเป พรพฺพำ โมจยามาส ยีศุนฺตุ กษาภิราหตฺย กฺรุเศน เวธิตุํ สมรฺปยามาสฯ
27 Then the governor's soldiers took Jesus into the Praetorium, and gathered the whole garrison together against him.
อนนฺตรมฺ อธิปเต: เสนา อธิปเต รฺคฺฤหํ ยีศุมานีย ตสฺย สมีเป เสนาสมูหํ สํชคฺฤหุ: ฯ
28 They stripped him, and put a scarlet robe on him.
ตตเสฺต ตสฺย วสนํ โมจยิตฺวา กฺฤษฺณโลหิตวรฺณวสนํ ปริธาปยามาสุ:
29 They braided a crown of thorns and put it on his head, and a reed in his right hand; and they kneeled down before him, and mocked him, saying, "Greetings, King of the Jews."
กณฺฏกานำ มุกุฏํ นิรฺมฺมาย ตจฺฉิรสิ ททุ: , ตสฺย ทกฺษิณกเร เวตฺรเมกํ ทตฺตฺวา ตสฺย สมฺมุเข ชานูนิ ปาตยิตฺวา, เห ยิหูทียานำ ราชนฺ, ตุภฺยํ นม อิตฺยุกฺตฺวา ตํ ติรศฺจกฺรุ: ,
30 They spat on him, and took the reed and struck him on the head.
ตตสฺตสฺย คาเตฺร นิษฺฐีวํ ทตฺวา เตน เวเตฺรณ ศิร อาชฆฺนุ: ฯ
31 When they had mocked him, they took the robe off of him, and put his clothes on him, and led him away to crucify him.
อิตฺถํ ตํ ติรสฺกฺฤตฺย ตทฺ วสนํ โมจยิตฺวา ปุนรฺนิชวสนํ ปริธาปยาญฺจกฺรุ: , ตํ กฺรุเศน เวธิตุํ นีตวนฺต: ฯ
32 As they came out, they found a man of Cyrene, Simon by name, and they compelled him to go with them, that he might carry his cross.
ปศฺจาตฺเต พหิรฺภูย กุรีณียํ ศิโมนฺนามกเมกํ วิโลกฺย กฺรุศํ โวฒุํ ตมาททิเรฯ
33 They came to a place called "Golgotha," that is to say, "The place of a skull."
อนนฺตรํ คุลฺคลฺตามฺ อรฺถาตฺ ศิรสฺกปาลนามกสฺถานมุ ปสฺถาย เต ยีศเว ปิตฺตมิศฺริตามฺลรสํ ปาตุํ ททุ: ,
34 They gave him wine to drink mixed with gall. When he had tasted it, he would not drink.
กินฺตุ ส ตมาสฺวาทฺย น ปเปาฯ
35 When they had crucified him, they divided his clothing among themselves, casting a lot, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet: 'They divided my clothes among themselves, and for my clothing they cast a lot.'
ตทานีํ เต ตํ กฺรุเศน สํวิธฺย ตสฺย วสนานิ คุฏิกาปาเตน วิภชฺย ชคฺฤหุ: , ตสฺมาตฺ, วิภชนฺเต'ธรียํ เม เต มนุษฺยา: ปรสฺปรํฯ มทุตฺตรียวสฺตฺรารฺถํ คุฏิกำ ปาตยนฺติ จ๚ ยเทตทฺวจนํ ภวิษฺยทฺวาทิภิรุกฺตมาสีตฺ, ตทา ตทฺ อสิธฺยตฺ,
36 And they sat and watched him there.
ปศฺจาตฺ เต ตโตฺรปวิศฺย ตทฺรกฺษณกรฺวฺวณิ นิยุกฺตาสฺตสฺถุ: ฯ
37 They set up over his head the accusation against him written, "THIS IS JESUS, THE KING OF THE JEWS."
อปรมฺ เอษ ยิหูทียานำ ราชา ยีศุริตฺยปวาทลิปิปตฺรํ ตจฺฉิรส อูรฺทฺเวฺว โยชยามาสุ: ฯ
38 Then there were two robbers crucified with him, one on his right hand and one on the left.
ตตสฺตสฺย วาเม ทกฺษิเณ จ เทฺวา ไจเรา เตน สากํ กฺรุเศน วิวิธุ: ฯ
39 Those who passed by blasphemed him, wagging their heads,
ตทา ปานฺถา นิชศิโร ลาฑยิตฺวา ตํ นินฺทนฺโต ชคทุ: ,
40 and saying, "You who destroy the temple, and build it in three days, save yourself. If you are the Son of God, come down from the cross."
เห อีศฺวรมนฺทิรภญฺชก ทินตฺรเย ตนฺนิรฺมฺมาต: สฺวํ รกฺษ, เจตฺตฺวมีศฺวรสุตสฺตรฺหิ กฺรุศาทวโรหฯ
41 Likewise the chief priests also mocking, with the scribes, and the elders, said,
ปฺรธานยาชกาธฺยาปกปฺราจีนาศฺจ ตถา ติรสฺกฺฤตฺย ชคทุ: ,
42 "He saved others, but he cannot save himself. If he is the King of Israel, let him come down from the cross now, and we will believe in him.
โส'นฺยชนานาวตฺ, กินฺตุ สฺวมวิตุํ น ศกฺโนติฯ ยทีสฺราเยโล ราชา ภเวตฺ, ตรฺหีทานีเมว กฺรุศาทวโรหตุ, เตน ตํ วยํ ปฺรเตฺยษฺยาม: ฯ
43 He trusts in God. Let God deliver him now, if he wants him; for he said, 'I am the Son of God.'"
ส อีศฺวเร ปฺรตฺยาศามกโรตฺ, ยทีศฺวรสฺตสฺมินฺ สนฺตุษฺฏสฺตรฺหีทานีเมว ตมเวตฺ, ยต: ส อุกฺตวานฺ อหมีศฺวรสุต: ฯ
44 The robbers also who were crucified with him insulted him in the same way.
เยา เสฺตเนา สากํ เตน กฺรุเศน วิทฺเธา เตา ตทฺวเทว ตํ นินินฺทตุ: ฯ
45 Now from noon until three in the afternoon there was darkness over all the land.
ตทา ทฺวิตียยามาตฺ ตฺฤตียยามํ ยาวตฺ สรฺวฺวเทเศ ตมิรํ พภูว,
46 Then at about three in the afternoon Jesus called out with a loud voice, saying, "Eli, Eli, lema shabachthani?" That is, "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?"
ตฺฤตียยาเม "เอลี เอลี ลามา ศิวกฺตนี", อรฺถาตฺ มทีศฺวร มทีศฺวร กุโต มามตฺยากฺษี: ? ยีศุรุจฺไจริติ ชคาทฯ
47 Some of them who stood there, when they heard it, said, "This man is calling Elijah."
ตทา ตตฺร สฺถิตา: เกจิตฺ ตตฺ ศฺรุตฺวา พภาษิเร, อยมฺ เอลิยมาหูยติฯ
48 Immediately one of them ran, and took a sponge, and filled it with vinegar, and put it on a reed, and gave him a drink.
เตษำ มธฺยาทฺ เอก: ศีฆฺรํ คตฺวา สฺปญฺชํ คฺฤหีตฺวา ตตฺรามฺลรสํ ทตฺตฺวา นเลน ปาตุํ ตไสฺม ทเทาฯ
49 The rest said, "Let him be. Let us see whether Elijah comes to save him."
อิตเร'กถยนฺ ติษฺฐต, ตํ รกฺษิตุมฺ เอลิย อายาติ นเวติ ปศฺยาม: ฯ
50 And Jesus cried out again with a loud voice, and yielded up his spirit.
ยีศุ: ปุนรุไจราหูย ปฺราณานฺ ชเหาฯ
51 And look, the veil of the temple was torn in two from the top to the bottom. The earth quaked and the rocks were split.
ตโต มนฺทิรสฺย วิจฺเฉทวสนมฺ อูรฺทฺวฺวาทโธ ยาวตฺ ฉิทฺยมานํ ทฺวิธาภวตฺ,
52 The tombs were opened, and many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised;
ภูมิศฺจกมฺเป ภูธโรวฺยทีรฺยฺยต จฯ ศฺมศาเน มุกฺเต ภูริปุณฺยวตำ สุปฺตเทหา อุทติษฺฐนฺ,
53 and coming out of the tombs after his resurrection, they entered into the holy city and appeared to many.
ศฺมศานาทฺ วหิรฺภูย ตทุตฺถานาตฺ ปรํ ปุณฺยปุรํ คตฺวา พหุชนานฺ ทรฺศยามาสุ: ฯ
54 Now the centurion, and those who were with him watching Jesus, when they saw the earthquake, and the things that were done, feared exceedingly, saying, "Truly this was the Son of God."
ยีศุรกฺษณาย นิยุกฺต: ศตเสนาปติสฺตตฺสงฺคินศฺจ ตาทฺฤศีํ ภูกมฺปาทิฆฏนำ ทฺฤษฺฏฺวา ภีตา อวทนฺ, เอษ อีศฺวรปุโตฺร ภวติฯ
55 Many women were there watching from afar, who had followed Jesus from Galilee, serving him.
ยา พหุโยษิโต ยีศุํ เสวมานา คาลีลสฺตตฺปศฺจาทาคตาสฺตาสำ มเธฺย
56 Among them were Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James and Joseph, and the mother of the sons of Zebedee.
มคฺทลีนี มริยมฺ ยากูโพฺยโศฺย รฺมาตา ยา มริยมฺ สิพทิยปุตฺรโย รฺมาตา จ โยษิต เอตา ทูเร ติษฺฐนฺโตฺย ททฺฤศุ: ฯ
57 When evening had come, a rich man from Arimathea, named Joseph, who himself was also Jesus' disciple came.
สนฺธฺยายำ สตฺยมฺ อริมถิยานครสฺย ยูษผฺนามา ธนี มนุโช ยีโศ: ศิษฺยตฺวาตฺ
58 This man went to Pilate, and asked for the body of Jesus. Then Pilate commanded that it be released.
ปีลาตสฺย สมีปํ คตฺวา ยีโศ: กายํ ยยาเจ, เตน ปีลาต: กายํ ทาตุมฺ อาทิเทศฯ
59 Joseph took the body, and wrapped it in a clean linen cloth,
ยูษผฺ ตตฺกายํ นีตฺวา ศุจิวสฺเตฺรณาจฺฉาทฺย
60 and placed it in his own new tomb, which he had cut out in the rock, and he rolled a great stone to the door of the tomb, and departed.
สฺวารฺถํ ไศเล ยตฺ ศฺมศานํ จขาน, ตนฺมเธฺย ตตฺกายํ นิธาย ตสฺย ทฺวาริ วฺฤหตฺปาษาณํ ทเทาฯ
61 Mary Magdalene was there, and the other Mary, sitting opposite the tomb.
กินฺตุ มคฺทลีนี มริยมฺ อนฺยมริยมฺ เอเต สฺตฺริเยา ตตฺร ศฺมศานสมฺมุข อุปวิวิศตุ: ฯ
62 Now on the next day, which was the day after the Preparation Day, the chief priests and the Pharisees were gathered together to Pilate,
ตทนนฺตรํ นิสฺตาโรตฺสวสฺยาโยชนทินาตฺ ปเร'หนิ ปฺรธานยาชกา: ผิรูศินศฺจ มิลิตฺวา ปีลาตมุปาคตฺยากถยนฺ,
63 saying, "Sir, we remember what that deceiver said while he was still alive: 'After three days I will rise again.'
เห มเหจฺฉ ส ปฺรตารโก ชีวน อกถยตฺ, ทินตฺรยาตฺ ปรํ ศฺมศานาทุตฺถาสฺยามิ ตทฺวากฺยํ สฺมราโม วยํ;
64 Command therefore that the tomb be made secure until the third day, lest perhaps his disciples come and steal him away, and tell the people, 'He is risen from the dead;' and the last deception will be worse than the first."
ตสฺมาตฺ ตฺฤตียทินํ ยาวตฺ ตตฺ ศฺมศานํ รกฺษิตุมาทิศตุ, โนเจตฺ ตจฺฉิษฺยา ยามินฺยามาคตฺย ตํ หฺฤตฺวา โลกานฺ วทิษฺยนฺติ, ส ศฺมศานาทุทติษฺฐตฺ, ตถา สติ ปฺรถมภฺรานฺเต: เศษียภฺรานฺติ รฺมหตี ภวิษฺยติฯ
65 Pilate said to them, "You have a guard. Go, make it as secure as you can."
ตทา ปีลาต อวาทีตฺ, ยุษฺมากํ สมีเป รกฺษิคณ อาเสฺต, ยูยํ คตฺวา ยถา สาธฺยํ รกฺษยตฯ
66 So they went with the guard and made the tomb secure, sealing the stone.
ตตเสฺต คตฺวา ตทฺทูรปาษาณํ มุทฺรางฺกิตํ กฺฤตฺวา รกฺษิคณํ นิโยชฺย ศฺมศานํ รกฺษยามาสุ: ฯ
