< Matthew 21 >
1 When they drew near to Jerusalem, and came to Bethphage, to the Mount of Olives, then Jesus sent two disciples,
Aka kakra na Yesu ne nʼasuafoɔ no aduru Yerusalem no, wɔbɛnee kuro bi a wɔfrɛ no Betfage a ɛwɔ Ngo Bepɔ no so hɔ no. Ɛhɔ na Yesu somaa nʼasuafoɔ no mu baanu sɛ, wɔnni ɛkan nkɔ.
2 saying to them, "Go into the village that is opposite you, and immediately you will find a donkey tied, and a colt with her. Untie them, and bring them to me.
Ɔka kyerɛɛ wɔn sɛ, “Sɛ moduru hɔ a, mobɛhunu sɛ wɔasa afunumu bi ne ne ba ahoma. Monsane wɔn, na momfa wɔn mmrɛ me.
3 And if anyone says anything to you, you are to say, 'Because the Lord needs them,' and he will send them at once."
Sɛ obi bisa mo sɛ ɛdeɛn na moreyɛ a, monka nkyerɛ onipa ko no sɛ, ‘Wɔn ho hia Awurade,’ na ntɛm ara ɔbɛma mo de wɔn aba.”
4 This took place that it might be fulfilled which was spoken through the prophet, saying,
Wɔyɛɛ yei hyɛɛ tete nkɔmhyɛ a ɛka sɛ,
5 Say to the daughter of Zion, "Look, your King comes to you, humble, and riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey."
“Monka nkyerɛ Ɔbabaa Sion sɛ wo ɔhene reba wo nkyɛn. Ɔdwo, na ɔte afunumu ne, afunumu ba so,” no mu den.
6 The disciples went, and did just as Jesus directed them,
Asuafoɔ baanu no yɛɛ deɛ Yesu ka kyerɛɛ wɔn no.
7 and brought the donkey and the colt, and placed their clothes on them; and he sat on them.
Wɔde mmoa no brɛɛ no no, wɔde wɔn ntoma sesɛɛ afunumu no so, maa Yesu tenaa ne so.
8 A very large crowd spread their clothes on the road. Others cut branches from the trees, and spread them on the road.
Nnipadɔm a wɔwɔ hɔ no bi de wɔn ntoma sesɛɛ ɛkwan a ɔde aboa no nam so no so. Ebinom nso bubuu nnua mman de sesɛɛ ɛkwan no mu saa ara.
9 The crowds who went before him, and who followed kept shouting, "Hosanna to the son of David. Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord. Hosanna in the highest."
Ɛdɔm no tu teneeɛ de osebɔ teateaam sɛ, “Hosiana Dawid Ba!” “Nhyira ne deɛ ɔnam Awurade din mu reba no.” “Hosiana wɔ ɔsoro nohoa!”
10 When he had come into Jerusalem, all the city was stirred up, saying, "Who is this?"
Ɛberɛ a ɔduruu Yerusalem no, kuro no nyinaa bɔɔ twi. Ɛhɔfoɔ no bisaa sɛ, “Na hwan ni?”
11 The crowds said, "This is the prophet Jesus, from Nazareth of Galilee."
Nnipadɔm no buaa sɛ, “Ɛyɛ Yesu, Odiyifoɔ a ɔfiri Nasaret a ɛwɔ Galileaman mu no.”
12 Jesus entered into the temple, and drove out all of those who sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the money changers' tables and the seats of those who sold the doves.
Yesu firii hɔ no, ɔkɔɔ asɔrefie. Ɔduruu hɔ no, ɔpamoo adwadifoɔ a wɔwɔ hɔ no nyinaa, kaa sikasesafoɔ apono nyinaa guu fam, bubuu apata a wɔtɔn mmorɔnoma wɔ mu no nyinaa guiɛ.
13 He said to them, "It is written, 'My house will be called a house of prayer,' but you have made it a den of robbers."
Yesu ka kyerɛɛ wɔn sɛ, “Atwerɛsɛm no ka sɛ, ‘Mʼasɔrefie yɛ beaeɛ a wɔbɔ mpaeɛ.’ Nanso, mo deɛ, mode hɔ ayɛ akorɔmfoɔ atenaeɛ.”
14 The blind and the lame came to him in the temple, and he healed them.
Afei anifirafoɔ ne mmubuafoɔ baa ne nkyɛn wɔ asɔrefie hɔ ma ɔsaa wɔn nyinaa yadeɛ.
15 But when the chief priests and the scribes saw the wonderful things that he did, and the children crying out in the temple and saying, "Hosanna to the son of David." they were indignant,
Nanso, ɛberɛ a asɔfoɔ mpanin ne Yudafoɔ mpanin bi hunuu anwanwadeɛ yi na wɔtee nso sɛ mmɔfra nkumaa a wɔwɔ asɔrefie hɔ reteateam sɛ, “Nhyira nka Dawid Ba no” no, anyɛ wɔn dɛ.
16 and said to him, "Do you hear what these are saying?" Jesus said to them, "Yes. Did you never read, 'Out of the mouth of children and infants you have prepared praise?'"
Enti, wɔbisaa Yesu sɛ, “Wote nsɛm a mmɔfra no reka no anaa?” Yesu buaa sɛ, “Aane. Na monkenkanee saa Atwerɛsɛm a ɛka sɛ, “‘Mmɔfra ne nkɔkoaa mpo de wɔn ano kamfo wo’ no da anaa?”
17 He left them, and went out of the city to Bethany, and lodged there.
Afei, ɔfirii hɔ sane kɔɔ Betania kɔdaa hɔ.
18 Now in the morning, as he returned to the city, he was hungry.
Adeɛ kyee anɔpa a ɔresane akɔ Yerusalem no, ɛkɔm dee no.
19 Seeing a fig tree by the road, he came to it, and found nothing on it but leaves. He said to it, "Let there be no fruit from you forever." Immediately the fig tree withered away. (aiōn )
Ɔhunuu sɛ borɔdɔma dua bi si ɛkwan ho baabi. Ɔkɔɔ hɔ kɔhwɛɛ sɛ borɔdɔma no bi wɔ so, nanso ɔduruu hɔ no, ɔhunuu sɛ nhahan nko ara na ɛwɔ so. Ɔdomee borɔdɔma dua no sɛ, “Ɛfiri ɛnnɛ, worenso aba bio!” Ɛhɔ ara borɔdɔma dua no wuiɛ. (aiōn )
20 When the disciples saw it, they were amazed, saying, "How did the fig tree immediately wither away?"
Asɛm yi yɛɛ Yesu asuafoɔ no nwanwa ma wɔbisaa no sɛ, “Na ɛyɛɛ ɛdeɛn enti na borɔdɔma dua no so nhahan poroo ntɛm saa?”
21 Jesus answered them, "Truly I tell you, if you have faith, and do not doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but even if you told this mountain, 'Be taken up and cast into the sea,' it would be done.
Yesu nso buaa wɔn sɛ, “Nokorɛm, sɛ mowɔ gyidie a ɛnhinhim a, mobɛtumi ayɛ ade korɔ yi ara bi, anaa deɛ ɛkyɛn saa mpo. Anka mobɛtumi aka akyerɛ Ngo Bepɔ yi sɛ, ‘Tutu kɔgu ɛpo mu’, na ɛbɛtutu akɔgu mu nso.
22 All things, whatever you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive."
Biribiara a mode gyidie bɛbisa wɔ mpaeɛbɔ mu no, mo nsa bɛka.”
23 When he had come into the temple, the chief priests and the elders of the people came to him as he was teaching, and said, "By what authority do you do these things? Who gave you this authority?"
Yesu sane kɔɔ asɔrefie hɔ a ɔrekyerɛkyerɛ no, asɔfoɔ mpanin ne Yudafoɔ mpanin baa ne kyɛn bɛbisaa no tumi ko a ɔgyina so pamoo adwadifoɔ ne sikasesafoɔ no firii asɔrefie hɔ no.
24 Jesus answered them, "I also will ask you one question, which if you tell me, I likewise will tell you by what authority I do these things.
Yesu kaa sɛ, “Merebɛbisa mo asɛm baako bi, na mommua me ansa.
25 The baptism of John, where was it from? From heaven or from people?" They reasoned with themselves, saying, "If we say, 'From heaven,' he will ask us, 'Why then did you not believe him?'
Onyankopɔn na ɔsomaa Yohane Osubɔni anaa ɛnyɛ ɔno?” Wɔdwennwenee ho kaa sɛ, “Sɛ yɛka sɛ ‘Ɛfiri Onyankopɔn’ a, wɔbɛbisa yɛn deɛ enti a yɛannye deɛ Yohane kaeɛ no annie?
26 But if we say, 'From people,' we fear the crowd, for all hold John as a prophet."
Na sɛ yɛka sɛ, ‘Ɛnyɛ Onyankopɔn na ɔsomaa no’ nso a, ɛdɔm no bɛha yɛn ɛfiri sɛ, wɔn nyinaa nim sɛ Yohane yɛ odiyifoɔ.”
27 They answered Jesus, and said, "We do not know." He also said to them, "Neither will I tell you by what authority I do these things.
Enti, wɔn mmuaeɛ a wɔmaeɛ ara ne sɛ, “Yɛnnim!” Ɛhɔ ara na Yesu nso kaa sɛ, “Sɛ monnim deɛ a, me nso meremmua mo.”
28 But what do you think? A man had two sons, and he came to the first, and said, 'Son, go work today in the vineyard.'
Yesu kaa sɛ, “Saa asɛm a merebɛka yi modwene ho sɛn? Ɔbarima bi wɔ mmammarima baanu. Ɔka kyerɛɛ wɔn mu panin no sɛ, ‘Me ba, ɛnnɛ kɔ mʼafuom na kɔyɛ adwuma wɔ hɔ.’
29 He answered, 'I will not,' but afterward he changed his mind, and went.
“Ne ba no kaa sɛ, ‘Merenkɔ,’ nanso akyire yi, ɔsesaa nʼadwene na ɔkɔeɛ.
30 And he came to the other, and said the same thing. And he answered and said, 'I go, sir,' but he did not go.
“Afei agya no ka kyerɛɛ akumaa no sɛ, ‘Wo nso kɔ.’ Ɔno nso kaa sɛ, ‘Agya, mate, mɛkɔ.’ Nanso wankɔ.
31 Which of the two did the will of his father?" They said, "The first." Jesus said to them, "Truly I tell you that the tax collectors and the prostitutes are entering into the Kingdom of God before you.
“Saa mmɔfra baanu yi mu hwan na ɔtie nʼagya asɛm?” Wɔbuaa sɛ, “Ne ba panin no a.” Afei, Yesu kyerɛɛ asɛm no ase sɛ, “Akyinnyeɛ biara nni ho sɛ abɔnefoɔ ne nnwamanfoɔ bɛkɔ Ɔsoro Ahennie mu ansa na moakɔ.
32 For John came to you in the way of righteousness, and you did not believe him, but the tax collectors and the prostitutes believed him. When you saw it, you did not even repent afterward, that you might believe him.
Ɛfiri sɛ, Yohane baa mo nkyɛn sɛ ɔrebɛkyerɛ mo tenenee kwan, na moannye no anni. Nanso ɔtogyefoɔ ne nnwamanfoɔ gyee no diiɛ. Na mohunuu yei mpo no, moansakyera mo adwene, na moannye no anni.”
33 "Hear another parable. There was a landowner who planted a vineyard, set a hedge about it, dug a winepress in it, built a tower, leased it out to tenant farmers, and went on a journey.
Yesu buu wɔn bɛ foforɔ bi sɛ, “Ɛda bi, ɔbarima bi a ɔwɔ bobefuo a wagye ban afa ho, na watu amena a wɔkyi nsã wɔ mu, de afuo no gyaa akuafoɔ bi. Yei akyi no, ɔtuu ɛkwan kɔɔ ɔman foforɔ bi so.
34 When the season for the fruit drew near, he sent his servants to the tenants, to receive his fruit.
Ɛduruu ɛberɛ a bobe no bereeɛ a ɛsɛ sɛ wɔteɛ no, ɔsomaa ne ho nnipa baa akuafoɔ no hɔ sɛ wɔmmɛgye ne kyɛfa mmrɛ no.
35 The tenants took his servants, beat one, killed another, and stoned another.
“Wɔduruu hɔ ara pɛ na akuafoɔ no to hyɛɛ nnipa no so, boroo ɔbaako, kum ɔbaako ɛnna wɔsii ɔbaako nso aboɔ.
36 Again, he sent other servants more than the first: and they treated them the same way.
Afei, ɔsane somaa nnipa a wɔn dodoɔ sene wɔn a ɔsomaa wɔn kane no sɛ wɔnkɔ akuafoɔ no nkyɛn, nanso asɛm korɔ no ara bi na ɛsiiɛ.
37 But afterward he sent to them his son, saying, 'They will respect my son.'
Yei akyi, ɔsomaa ɔno ankasa ne ba akuafoɔ no nkyɛn susuu sɛ, wɔde anidie bɛma no.
38 But the tenants, when they saw the son, said among themselves, 'This is the heir. Come, let us kill him, and have his inheritance.'
“Nanso, akuafoɔ no hunuu sɛ ne ba no afiti reba pɛ, wɔfaa ne ho adwene kaa sɛ, ‘Ɔdedifoɔ no na ɔreba no; momma yɛnkum no, na yɛmfa afuo no!’
39 So they took him, and threw him out of the vineyard, and killed him.
Ɛhɔ ara, wɔtwee no firii afuo no mu, kɔkumm no too baabi.
40 When therefore the lord of the vineyard comes, what will he do to those tenants?"
“Sɛ afuowura no sane ba a, mogye di sɛ ɛdeɛn na ɔbɛyɛ saa akuafoɔ no?”
41 They told him, "He will utterly destroy those evil men, and will lease out the vineyard to other tenants, who will give him the fruit in its season."
Yudafoɔ mpanin no buaa sɛ, “Ɔno nso bɛkum saa atirimuɔdenfoɔ no na ɔde afuo no ama akuafoɔ foforɔ a wɔde ne kyɛfa bɛma no ɛberɛ a ɛsɛ mu.”
42 Jesus said to them, "Did you never read in the Scriptures, 'The stone which the builders rejected, the same was made the head of the corner. This was from the Lord. It is marvelous in our eyes?'
Yesu bisaa wɔn bio sɛ, “Monkanee Twerɛsɛm no mu da sɛ, “‘Ɛboɔ a adansifoɔ apo no ɛno ara na abɛyɛ ɛdan no ntweaso tiboɔ. Awurade na wayɛ yei, na ɛyɛ nwanwa wɔ yɛn ani so?’
43 "Therefore I tell you, the Kingdom of God will be taken away from you, and will be given to a nation bringing forth its fruit.
“Deɛ mereka ara ne sɛ, wɔbɛgye Onyankopɔn Ahennie no afiri mo nsam de akɔma ɔman foforɔ a wɔbɛbu nʼafudeɛ no ho nkonta pa akyerɛ no.
44 He who falls on this stone will be broken to pieces; but on whomever it will fall, it will crush him."
Wɔn a wɔbɛhwe saa botan yi so no mu bɛbubu, na deɛ nokorɛ no bɛhwe ne so no nso bɛpɛkyɛ.”
45 When the chief priests and the Pharisees heard his parables, they perceived that he spoke about them.
Ɛberɛ a asɔfoɔ mpanin ne Yudafoɔ mpanin no tee aseɛ sɛ Yesu asɛm a ɔreka no fa wɔn ho no,
46 When they sought to seize him, they feared the crowds, because they considered him to be a prophet.
wɔpɛɛ sɛ wɔyɛ no bɔne, nanso na wɔsuro ɛdɔm no ɛfiri sɛ, na wɔagye Yesu atom sɛ ɔyɛ Odiyifoɔ.
