Matthew 10
1 And he called to himself his twelve disciples, and gave them authority over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal every disease and every sickness.
அநந்தரம்’ யீஸு² ர்த்³வாத³ஸ²ஸி²ஷ்யாந் ஆஹூயாமேத்⁴யபூ⁴தாந் த்யாஜயிதும்’ ஸர்வ்வப்ரகாரரோகா³ந் பீடா³ஸ்²ச ஸ²மயிதும்’ தேப்⁴ய: ஸாமர்த்²யமதா³த்|
2 Now the names of the twelve apostles are these. The first, Simon, who is called Peter; and Andrew his brother; and James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother;
தேஷாம்’ த்³வாத³ஸ²ப்ரேஷ்யாணாம்’ நாமாந்யேதாநி| ப்ரத²மம்’ ஸி²மோந் யம்’ பிதரம்’ வத³ந்தி, தத: பரம்’ தஸ்ய ஸஹஜ ஆந்த்³ரிய: , ஸிவதி³யஸ்ய புத்ரோ யாகூப்³
3 Philip and Bartholomew; Thomas and Matthew the tax collector; James the son of Alphaeus, and Thaddaeus;
தஸ்ய ஸஹஜோ யோஹந்; பி²லிப் ப³ர்த²லமய் தோ²மா: கரஸம்’க்³ராஹீ மதி²: , ஆல்பே²யபுத்ரோ யாகூப்³,
4 Simon the Zealot, and Judas Iscariot, who also betrayed him.
கிநாநீய: ஸி²மோந், ய ஈஷ்கரியோதீயயிஹூதா³: க்²ரீஷ்டம்’ பரகரே(அ)ர்பயத்|
5 Jesus sent these twelve out, and commanded them, saying, "Do not go among the non-Jews, and do not enter into any city of the Samaritans.
ஏதாந் த்³வாத³ஸ²ஸி²ஷ்யாந் யீஸு²: ப்ரேஷயந் இத்யாஜ்ஞாபயத், யூயம் அந்யதே³ஸீ²யாநாம்’ பத³வீம்’ ஸே²மிரோணீயாநாம்’ கிமபி நக³ரஞ்ச ந ப்ரவிஸ்²யே
6 Rather, go to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
இஸ்ராயேல்கோ³த்ரஸ்ய ஹாரிதா யே யே மேஷாஸ்தேஷாமேவ ஸமீபம்’ யாத|
7 And as you go, proclaim, saying, 'The kingdom of heaven is near.'
க³த்வா க³த்வா ஸ்வர்க³ஸ்ய ராஜத்வம்’ ஸவித⁴மப⁴வத், ஏதாம்’ கதா²ம்’ ப்ரசாரயத|
8 Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, cast out demons. Freely you received, freely give.
ஆமயக்³ரஸ்தாந் ஸ்வஸ்தா²ந் குருத, குஷ்டி²ந: பரிஷ்குருத, ம்ரு’தலோகாந் ஜீவயத, பூ⁴தாந் த்யாஜயத, விநா மூல்யம்’ யூயம் அலப⁴த்⁴வம்’ விநைவ மூல்யம்’ விஸ்²ராணயத|
9 Do not take any gold, nor silver, nor copper in your money belts.
கிந்து ஸ்வேஷாம்’ கடிப³ந்தே⁴ஷு ஸ்வர்ணரூப்யதாம்ராணாம்’ கிமபி ந க்³ரு’ஹ்லீத|
10 Take no bag for your journey, neither two tunics, nor shoes, nor staff: for the laborer is worthy of his food.
அந்யச்ச யாத்ராயை சேலஸம்புடம்’ வா த்³விதீயவஸநம்’ வா பாது³கே வா யஷ்டி: , ஏதாந் மா க்³ரு’ஹ்லீத, யத: கார்ய்யக்ரு’த் ப⁴ர்த்தும்’ யோக்³யோ ப⁴வதி|
11 And into whatever city or village you enter, find out who in it is worthy; and stay there until you go on.
அபரம்’ யூயம்’ யத் புரம்’ யஞ்ச க்³ராமம்’ ப்ரவிஸ²த², தத்ர யோ ஜநோ யோக்³யபாத்ரம்’ தமவக³த்ய யாநகாலம்’ யாவத் தத்ர திஷ்ட²த|
12 And as you enter into the household, greet it.
யதா³ யூயம்’ தத்³கே³ஹம்’ ப்ரவிஸ²த², ததா³ தமாஸி²ஷம்’ வத³த|
13 And if the household is worthy, let your peace come on it, but if it is not worthy, let your peace return to you.
யதி³ ஸ யோக்³யபாத்ரம்’ ப⁴வதி, தர்ஹி தத்கல்யாணம்’ தஸ்மை ப⁴விஷ்யதி, நோசேத் ஸாஸீ²ர்யுஷ்மப்⁴யமேவ ப⁴விஷ்யதி|
14 And whoever does not receive you, nor hear your words, as you leave that house or that city, shake off the dust from your feet.
கிந்து யே ஜநா யுஷ்மாகமாதித்²யம்’ ந வித³த⁴தி யுஷ்மாகம்’ கதா²ஞ்ச ந ஸ்²ரு’ண்வந்தி தேஷாம்’ கே³ஹாத் புராத்³வா ப்ரஸ்தா²நகாலே ஸ்வபதூ³லீ: பாதயத|
15 Truly I tell you, it will be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment than for that city.
யுஷ்மாநஹம்’ தத்²யம்’ வச்மி விசாரதி³நே தத்புரஸ்ய த³ஸா²த: ஸிதோ³மமோராபுரயோர்த³ஸா² ஸஹ்யதரா ப⁴விஷ்யதி|
16 "Look, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves, so be cunning as snakes and innocent as doves.
பஸ்²யத, வ்ரு’கயூத²மத்⁴யே மேஷ: யதா²விஸ்ததா² யுஷ்மாந ப்ரஹிணோமி, தஸ்மாத்³ யூயம் அஹிரிவ ஸதர்கா: கபோதாஇவாஹிம்’ஸகா ப⁴வத|
17 But beware of people: for they will deliver you up to councils, and in their synagogues they will scourge you.
ந்ரு’ப்⁴ய: ஸாவதா⁴நா ப⁴வத; யதஸ்தை ர்யூயம்’ ராஜஸம்’ஸதி³ ஸமர்பிஷ்யத்⁴வே தேஷாம்’ ப⁴ஜநகே³ஹே ப்ரஹாரிஷ்யத்⁴வே|
18 Yes, and you will be brought before governors and kings for my sake, for a testimony to them and to the nations.
யூயம்’ மந்நாமஹேதோ: ஸா²ஸ்த்ரு’ணாம்’ ராஜ்ஞாஞ்ச ஸமக்ஷம்’ தாநந்யதே³ஸி²நஸ்²சாதி⁴ ஸாக்ஷித்வார்த²மாநேஷ்யத்⁴வே|
19 But when they deliver you over, do not be anxious how or what you will say, for it will be given you in that hour what you will say.
கிந்த்வித்த²ம்’ ஸமர்பிதா யூயம்’ கத²ம்’ கிமுத்தரம்’ வக்ஷ்யத² தத்ர மா சிந்தயத, யதஸ்ததா³ யுஷ்மாபி⁴ ர்யத்³ வக்தவ்யம்’ தத் தத்³த³ண்டே³ யுஷ்மந்மந: ஸு ஸமுபஸ்தா²ஸ்யதி|
20 For it is not you who speak, but the Spirit of your Father who speaks in you.
யஸ்மாத் ததா³ யோ வக்ஷ்யதி ஸ ந யூயம்’ கிந்து யுஷ்மாகமந்தரஸ்த²: பித்ராத்மா|
21 "And brother will deliver up brother to death, and the father his child. Children will rise up against parents, and cause them to be put to death.
ஸஹஜ: ஸஹஜம்’ தாத: ஸுதஞ்ச ம்ரு’தௌ ஸமர்பயிஷ்யதி, அபத்யாகி³ ஸ்வஸ்வபித்ரோ ர்விபக்ஷீபூ⁴ய தௌ கா⁴தயிஷ்யந்தி|
22 And you will be hated by everyone because of my name, but the one who perseveres to the end will be saved.
மந்நமஹேதோ: ஸர்வ்வே ஜநா யுஷ்மாந் ரு’தீயிஷ்யந்தே, கிந்து ய: ஸே²ஷம்’ யாவத்³ தை⁴ர்ய்யம்’ க்⁴ரு’த்வா ஸ்தா²ஸ்யதி, ஸ த்ராயிஷ்யதே|
23 But when they persecute you in one city, flee to the other. And if they persecute you in the other, flee to the next. For truly I tell you, you will not have gone through the cities of Israel before the Son of Man comes.
தை ர்யதா³ யூயமேகபுரே தாடி³ஷ்யத்⁴வே, ததா³ யூயமந்யபுரம்’ பலாயத்⁴வம்’ யுஷ்மாநஹம்’ தத்²யம்’ வச்மி யாவந்மநுஜஸுதோ நைதி தாவத்³ இஸ்ராயேல்தே³ஸீ²யஸர்வ்வநக³ரப்⁴ரமணம்’ ஸமாபயிதும்’ ந ஸ²க்ஷ்யத²|
24 "A disciple is not above the teacher, nor a servant above his lord.
கு³ரோ: ஸி²ஷ்யோ ந மஹாந், ப்ரபோ⁴ர்தா³ஸோ ந மஹாந்|
25 It is enough for the disciple that he be like his teacher, and the servant like his lord. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebul, how much more those of his household.
யதி³ ஸி²ஷ்யோ நிஜகு³ரோ ர்தா³ஸஸ்²ச ஸ்வப்ரபோ⁴: ஸமாநோ ப⁴வதி தர்ஹி தத்³ யதே²ஷ்டம்’| சேத்தைர்க்³ரு’ஹபதிர்பூ⁴தராஜ உச்யதே, தர்ஹி பரிவாரா: கிம்’ ததா² ந வக்ஷ்யந்தே?
26 Therefore do not be afraid of them, for there is nothing covered that will not be revealed; and hidden that will not be known.
கிந்து தேப்⁴யோ யூயம்’ மா பி³பீ⁴த, யதோ யந்ந ப்ரகாஸி²ஷ்யதே, தாத்³ரு’க் சா²தி³தம்’ கிமபி நாஸ்தி, யச்ச ந வ்யஞ்சிஷ்யதே, தாத்³ரு’க்³ கு³ப்தம்’ கிமபி நாஸ்தி|
27 What I tell you in the darkness, speak in the light; and what you hear whispered in the ear, proclaim on the housetops.
யத³ஹம்’ யுஷ்மாந் தமஸி வச்மி தத்³ யுஷ்மாபி⁴ர்தீ³ப்தௌ கத்²யதாம்’; கர்ணாப்⁴யாம்’ யத் ஸ்²ரூயதே தத்³ கே³ஹோபரி ப்ரசார்ய்யதாம்’|
28 And do not be afraid of those who kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul. Rather, fear him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. (Geenna g1067)
யே காயம்’ ஹந்தும்’ ஸ²க்நுவந்தி நாத்மாநம்’, தேப்⁴யோ மா பை⁴ஷ்ட; ய: காயாத்மாநௌ நிரயே நாஸ²யிதும்’, ஸ²க்நோதி, ததோ பி³பீ⁴த| (Geenna g1067)
29 "Are not two sparrows sold for an assarion coin? Not one of them falls on the ground apart from your Father's will,
த்³வௌ சடகௌ கிமேகதாம்ரமுத்³ரயா ந விக்ரீயேதே? ததா²பி யுஷ்மத்தாதாநுமதிம்’ விநா தேஷாமேகோபி பு⁴வி ந பததி|
30 but the very hairs of your head are all numbered.
யுஷ்மச்சி²ரஸாம்’ ஸர்வ்வகசா க³ணிதாம்’: ஸந்தி|
31 Therefore do not be afraid. You are of more value than many sparrows.
அதோ மா பி³பீ⁴த, யூயம்’ ப³ஹுசடகேப்⁴யோ ப³ஹுமூல்யா: |
32 Everyone therefore who confesses me before people, him I will also confess before my Father who is in heaven.
யோ மநுஜஸாக்ஷாந்மாமங்கீ³குருதே தமஹம்’ ஸ்வர்க³ஸ்த²தாதஸாக்ஷாத³ங்கீ³கரிஷ்யே|
33 But whoever denies me before people, him I will also deny before my Father who is in heaven.
ப்ரு’த்²வ்யாமஹம்’ ஸா²ந்திம்’ தா³துமாக³தஇதி மாநுப⁴வத, ஸா²ந்திம்’ தா³தும்’ ந கிந்த்வஸிம்’|
34 "Do not think that I came to send peace on the earth. I did not come to send peace, but a sword.
பித்ரு’மாத்ரு’ஸ்²சஸ்²ரூபி⁴: ஸாகம்’ ஸுதஸுதாப³தூ⁴ ர்விரோத⁴யிதுஞ்சாக³தேஸ்மி|
35 For I came to set a man at odds against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law.
தத: ஸ்வஸ்வபரிவாரஏவ ந்ரு’ஸ²த்ரு ர்ப⁴விதா|
36 And a person's foes will be those of his own household.
ய: பிதரி மாதரி வா மத்தோதி⁴கம்’ ப்ரீயதே, ஸ ந மத³ர்ஹ: ;
37 Whoever loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; and whoever loves son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.
யஸ்²ச ஸுதே ஸுதாயாம்’ வா மத்தோதி⁴கம்’ ப்ரீயதே, ஸேபி ந மத³ர்ஹ: |
38 And whoever does not take his cross and follow after me, is not worthy of me.
ய: ஸ்வக்ருஸ²ம்’ க்³ரு’ஹ்லந் மத்பஸ்²சாந்நைதி, ஸேபி ந மத³ர்ஹ: |
39 Whoever seeks his life will lose it; and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.
ய: ஸ்வப்ராணாநவதி, ஸ தாந் ஹாரயிஷ்யதே, யஸ்து மத்க்ரு’தே ஸ்வப்ராணாந் ஹாரயதி, ஸ தாநவதி|
40 Whoever receives you receives me, and whoever receives me receives him who sent me.
யோ யுஷ்மாகமாதித்²யம்’ வித³தா⁴தி, ஸ மமாதித்²யம்’ வித³தா⁴தி, யஸ்²ச மமாதித்²யம்’ வித³தா⁴தி, ஸ மத்ப்ரேரகஸ்யாதித்²யம்’ வித³தா⁴தி|
41 The one who receives a prophet because he is a prophet will receive a prophet's reward, and the one who receives a righteous person because he is a righteous person will receive a righteous person's reward.
யோ ப⁴விஷ்யத்³வாதீ³தி ஜ்ஞாத்வா தஸ்யாதித்²யம்’ வித⁴த்தே, ஸ ப⁴விஷ்யத்³வாதி³ந: ப²லம்’ லப்ஸ்யதே, யஸ்²ச தா⁴ர்ம்மிக இதி விதி³த்வா தஸ்யாதித்²யம்’ வித⁴த்தே ஸ தா⁴ர்ம்மிகமாநவஸ்ய ப²லம்’ ப்ராப்ஸ்யதி|
42 And whoever gives one of these little ones just a cup of cold water to drink because he is a disciple, truly I tell you he will in no way lose his reward."
யஸ்²ச கஸ்²சித் ஏதேஷாம்’ க்ஷுத்³ரநராணாம் யம்’ கஞ்சநைகம்’ ஸி²ஷ்ய இதி விதி³த்வா கம்’ஸைகம்’ ஸீ²தலஸலிலம்’ தஸ்மை த³த்தே, யுஷ்மாநஹம்’ தத்²யம்’ வதா³மி, ஸ கேநாபி ப்ரகாரேண ப²லேந ந வஞ்சிஷ்யதே|
